@@kainoakanoe It's cause he was so imbalanced. He only jumped left-right and left leg (I think those two) and landed left leg first, then right leg or two legs. Because of that, it means when he had to land a different way, he couldn't handle the forces and tore an ACL. Balancing your jumps and mastering dunks with all four plants and three finishes on each plant not only makes you much more resistant to injury because every part of your body is used to the jumps and landings but also improves your jumps themselves a lot because you're stimulating some parts that normally get pretty neglected but are still used in a certain plant. as a thunder fan this genuinely gets me so emotional bro , im so glad westbrook stayed with us after KD went to the warriors , his passion for the game was something we've never seen , every night the only thing on his mind was kill
imo one of the best pg ever who stood on the field. he does and did things that a pg is not even soposed to be abaible to do and he did it with ease. and those dunks get me everytime man
One of the most exciting players ever to watch, sad that his career went downhill after okc but last year’s first round playoff series showed promise that he’s not done yet
Westbrook would have been a Hall of Fame Free Safety if he woulda played football. One of the best athletes ever up there with Bo, Lebron, Deion, MJ, Wilt.
He’s getting up there in age. Russ needs to develop a mid range and constant 3 to prolong his career. He’s also had knee injuries in the past. But I believe he can still be a very efficient player.
Westbrook dominated the league in OKC, especially in his younger days. Now that he's older, he's willing to take the backseat and let others shine, and that's what I call a great player. He understands that he had his time to shine.
When Russ is engaged he plays extremely well and I think he can bring that back. He still have the potential to elevate his game once he regain his confidence. 💪🏿
Seeing both clips, I LOVE overhearing the OKC announcer excitedly shout "Westbrook for the winnn- OHH!! He sticks the dagger into Sacramento's heart!!" at 3:46 XD
Got here after i watched him against the blazers yesterday night. Really i dont know how is he still able to wake up each morning... i would be depressed in the strongest manner if I was him.
Yeah the passion in his celebrations got me dying everytime. He tries to celebrate while hanging on the rim sometimes and looks like he's having a seizure
Westbrook the goat most underrated he was ring ready right here they shouldn't broke him kd in harden up so fast they most definitely would have won a ring
Russell ⛈️⚡🌩️Westbrook on the 🟠🏀OKC Thunder absolutely personified that organization, he honestly should have just stayed and continued the big stats and tough L's and become the greatest player for that franchise with his number retired and a statute outside their stadium and him being a Hall of Famer
Too fast too strong. So entertaining, so beautiful to watch when a person is giving his best. Playing his heart out regardless on how he looks. He’s not trying to look good on the court, what ever he has after the game. He’s happy with it. People just be asking stupid questions that throws him off. Like he’s actually trying to play a perfect game. Everyone in the league has bad games but for some reason they be attacking Russ for idk. LOVE RUSS FOR LIFE.
You can't play like that in your 30s. Those plays need a lot of athleticism. I think westbrook just need to readapt his game to his age now. But well done in OKC and thanks to him for those great memories.
Idk why I feel sad for Westbrook. I am not his fan but always been amaze of his explosiveness. His the definition of Energy and Force in NBA. He shouldn't have leave OKC, it was his home. Now lebron is shadowing him...
This is why NBA players defend him rn… they had to come up against this monster for all these years night in night out😂 they are not about to let it slide that this guy isn’t a HOF. To this day I still haven’t seen a player as exciting as him. Ja is similar but he doesn’t bring the energy and stamina every night like Russ does. Russ had a different level of energy shit looks crazy and I can’t even be upset that he’s not as athletic as then because its impossible for a man to play so hard nonstop for over 10 years and deal with injury and still be the same player. I’m just glad that I witnessed this man in all those years.
man i’m an okc and russ fan and it sucks seeing him perform so inconsistently and not as well as his former self but i’ll always be a fan and being able to accept the bench role is respectful.
People use him as a scapegoat, easily ridiculed due to stupid trends online, real basketball fans know how great and dynamic of a player Russ is.

Hes just an amazing athlete. You could argue that hes one of the 5 or 10 greatest pure athletes to ever play the game
No matter what team Russ is on, I’ll support him and his career 🙏

I love Westbrook man! My all time favorite player since 09
I like how when he splits defenders, they just give up on guarding him entirely
not even the fastest perimeter defender could keep up with russ, he went from 2mph to 20mph in like 5 seconds. It was impossible to guard.
