It is lovely to hear about the history of English language. It is the most civilized international language. In India there are 16 official languages. In each state the spoken English is different akin to the native language. There are also 250 or more tribal languages. English slowly creeping into their tribal and native languages. Well said.

    Simply..
English has become the preferred language for communicating internationally, basically because of the influences the British had military commercially and politically during
    its Briish Empire period.
The language is basically indigenous European influence in structure.

The English word **"God"** originates from the Old English word **"god"**, which can be traced back to the Proto-Germanic term **"*gudą"**. This word is derived from the Proto-Indo-European root **"*ghut-"**, meaning "that which is invoked" or "a being called upon."
Here’s a brief history of its development:
      1. **Proto-Indo-European Roots**: The root *ghut-* relates to ideas of invocation, sacrifice, or veneration of divine beings.
      2. **Proto-Germanic Influence**: In Proto-Germanic languages, the term *gudą* referred to a deity or divine power. This term evolved in different Germanic languages, such as Old High German (**got**) and Old Norse (**goð**).
      3. **Old English Usage**: In Old English (around the 7th century), **"god"** referred to a deity or divine being. It could be used for pagan gods or, after the spread of Christianity, the Christian God.
The concept of God in English has also been influenced by theological and cultural developments, especially through the spread of Christianity, which adapted and gave new meaning to pre-Christian words for divinity.
