Umcaruje Thanks! It's funny because the mic is an old noname dynamic, that probably shouldn't last this far, but it have spent all it's life in a drawer. Since it works I'm not buying another one yet :)
If you cannot control multiple tracks at the same time with your MIDI device, and you find your MIDI device only controls (makes a sound on) the selected track, make sure you have unselected "MIDI input follows MIDI track selection" in Edit -> Preferences -> MIDI. I struggled with this for a while, but finally figured it out. By default, the option seems to be selected in Ardour 6 at least. Very frustrating!
How is one supposed to use the provided XMZ files? The Zyn way of storing patches seems to be (a PITA, *and* the files are binaryyyy aaaargh) very specific, there are banks and presets, what are yours? In which directory should I drop them, and then what should I look for to locate them?
The XMZ files are "Master" settings (meaning all), there are also XIZ files (for Instrument - just one part, not all of the settings). In the main ZYnAddSubFX menu bar select File > Open parameters... and select the desired XMZ file. I saved these files with File > Save All parameters... The good thing about this method is that you can load this up in every single form of ZynAddSubFX (LV2, VST, standalone, LMMS-embeded etc) - so it's the most portable way of exchanging ZynAddSubFX patches.
Wow, a *third* type of read/writeable object, now :) Well, when I do that, no instrument is selected in the "instrument" slot ; And no new bank/preset seem to be available :(
I checked and it loads fine on my side in ZynAddSubFX standalone. Didn't manage to test it rigth with Ardour 5.8 yet. Make sure you're sending the right MIDI note on Channel 10 - because there's MIDI filtering engaged in these ZynAddSubFX patches. Also - have you tried opening the whole Ardour session? Also - have you tried loading session from the UV#11? It has some MIDI data to test easily the instruments. ruclips.net/video/GiTB51bcjD8/видео.html
Woohoo! This is the tutorial I was hoping to find. You rock unfa 😀
Good one! Maybe you could make a video exposing the new Zyn interface as well
Yup, that's definitely coming, I need some time to learn it though :D
Great! Thanks for the new series!
Just made my first bass drum in ZASFX. Many thanks for doing these videos. Next, I'm off to suss out drumkv1
I know you like being an artist, but should you be working for Roland or Behringer? This sounds better than a lot of wavetable "drums" I hear...

Hey, awesome videos as always unfa. What mic are you using?

Hello! Could you please tell if it's possible to add my drum samples to zynn and use them playing on midi keyboard?
No, that is a job for Geonkick, LSP Multisampler, Drumkv1 or Fabla :)
It makes softdrums close to physical sound, thanks ...
Thanks! You're welcome :)

I'm afraid I can't get the "Kick" file to work, Unfa :( Can you check that it loads and play in a new Ardour 5.8 session?

Damn, it sounds really close to real made of metal drums
Thanks Man!
And maybe we can make some software to convert just created Drum sounds to some format (may be JSON XML ,prefer JSON)
Ohh sorry maybe i'm wrong because if zynabsubfx already has some output forma
time staps?
Sorry, I didn't make any timestamps for this video.
