great video, maybe show a required 1" air gap between the brick and sheathing, where I get hung up on this details is trying to show thin vapor barriers and delineating them, in 3d like this it would really read better
Cinderblocks modeled in full. Bricks and Mortar at differing depths. Floor joists with individually modeled floor joist hangers under floors no one will get to. This is my every day experience with sketchup lol. I can't NOT do the details.
Aaron...on house wrap like materials, is it better to model the thickness, which adds geometry, or just move the flat geometry away from other surfaces by 1mm?
To clarify… I never added any text to the model… just a couple of detail models… about 45 minutes each with commentary… did I miss the part where I added text?
As a builder, it always frustrates me to see wall and structure details drawn by people who have no clue how building element go together. Sorry guys but you are proving my point with this video. Nice try
Its our intent to demonstrate the use of the software, in this case, going from 2D to 3D. It was stated in the intro of the intro that the content may or may not be 100% accurate...so feel free to pick and choose which parts are relevant to your workflow/projects.
Always fun and educational. Your success is because you are authentic and genuine. GREAT JOB!!

I always recommend adding a little thickness… 1mm would be great!
I love you. ❤️ Have a great day!

@@SketchUp Crazy that this needs to be explained to some viewers. Great live stream as always, look forward to more detail streams.
