Perfect video! I’ve got a few of your templates and they work like magic! Thank you wavy Wayne. You are one of the most informative producers/engineers on RUclips.
Finally hustled up and getting ready to set up my first home studio instead of just sitting at the ol' cramped bedroom desk. Got a feeling I'm going to be watching a lot of your videos. Liked and subbed!
Wavy I think you should definitely do a video for people who don’t understand how to record there selves, I’m tired of getting mixes with hot vocals and room noise 😪
Love your videos, can you do a video talking about mic placement, if recording in a corner is bad or not, acoustic treatment, proximity effect. Stuff like that pls, thanks
I’ve been recording for years and just stumbled across this and decided to watch. Man you explain things better than anybody on RUclips bro. When I was trying to figure this out, I just had to wing it till it sounded right 😂😂😂 that’s awesome though, I’m always down to learn something new so I’m definitely subscribing brother ❗️
i wanna thank you so much. you make these things so easy to figure out. I have been in studios for ages but just started producing. it's a little weird being the producer AND the singer/musician but can definitely get used to it. i have always been in the booth and rarely ever behind the computer lol very excited to be opening this new chapter though! shalom and much love man!
that thing you do to let artist not mess with the pop filter, ive done the same thing when they tell me to do something to the vocals that i know that they dont know what they talking bout, i just do something and tell them "How bout now?" and they honestly think that theres a difference saying "Yess, this is way better" and i even done nothing to it
This was cool...as I was just finishing a video on adding new rubber bands to my shock mount this pop filter tip came right in behind it and it was right on time hahah thanks bruh!
I got a question, when an artist is in the booth. What does the mic and headphones connect to? Do you need an extension cord for both to the interface? I’ve always been confused.
nice! Thanks, I am recording some metal vocals, but im sure the same rules aply, I got a pop filter which looks like the one in this vid. Its a Tascam. Thanks man!
So I have my mic setup upside down. And it is perfectly placed in my opinion. But when I put my pop filter on it just falls down and doesn’t stay. How do I fix that?
Wayne.wav the recording daw i used for my recording studio is cubase 5.0 and i see you using pro tools. can your previous tutorials on pro tools , teach me a few tips on mixing and mastering in cubase 5 since its different programs?
Anytime big bro, I be promoting you all around North Carolina, Trying to recruit everyone to become a Wavy Seal, You help us out a lot so I figure someone should help big bro out 💪💪
It just depends what feels best for you. Honestly though I recommend standing, when you stand, your spine is straight and you use good posture which can help with breath control and overall make ya sound a bit better. Hope this helps :)
wavy wayne u wavy bro thank u we gotta collabe bro ... are you from st louis ... my brother nico shot a commercial for you we all home studio engineers
Does the condenser microphone make a bottoming sound when a sponge is attached to the ? condenser microphone sometimes makes zero noise and sometimes bottom noise :/ When I touch the condenser microphone, the sound goes away...What solution would you suggest?
yo wayne, i currently moved to milan, and i have a good microphone that i can use for some time till i can buy other microphones like the slate ml1, and gonna buy a new audio interface maybe the id44, im looking into monitors i have krks and im not really a fan of them anymore, i was looking into the Adam TR7s or the HS8s, and currently im leaning on the TR7s, would love to have your input on Monitors since you used the HS8 and still use them, if you ever used the TR7s or know if good monitors that can compete with the HS8s let me know, i am gonna get the A7X but that for the future though
Yo man, I need your help. I've got a rode nt1a microphone and a focusrite solo 3rd gen audio interface. This is rather decent equipment with what I have but the audio quality isn't great because I record my own songs in my home but when I listen to a professional recording of a song it sounds even more clear. Don't get me wrong the audio quality is good on it but there is potential for better audio quality. Is this because of the sample rate? But I have heard some people say the sample rate doesn't matter. So do you have any other ideas how I can make it better? If so that would be great thank you.
this is very simple. your equipment is beginner level equipment. a vocal chain (mic, pop filter, cables, preamp, compressor, fx, converter, recording device) in a top studio would could be around 50000$ and this is not including the mixing desk, room treatment etc. and that's just the equipment side of it. it certainly also takes a skilled musician and tracking engineer. also the mixing and mastering engineers add clarity to what you hear on a finished song. so basically it is the combination of skills and great equipment.
@@therescuerofficial990 bro i have the same setup, my songs on my page were all recorded in my home studio with a Rode NT1-a and a focusrite 2i2 2nd generation. Its all about recording it in a well treated environment and the mixing you get from the engineer. Listen to the 3 songs I have and let me know if the quality is good. It can always get better but just compare it to the setup we both have.
Digging your videos man! Can you throw me in the direction of a pretty good condenser $750-1k for a home studio to record male/female vox and acoustic guitar?
Hey Wayne, do your templates require all of the plugins that are used in the template? I really want to check out your templates but I don’t have any plugins.. (ps I don’t have pro tools, it I will be getting it very soon, and I’m just getting ready so when I get it I’m prepared) thanks
Just got my first mic a few days ago! Since my room is untreated I went with the SM58s! Currently learning Pro Tools, thanks for the tips!

Does it matter where I put the microphone shield? Do I want my back to a wall or to open space? Or what would u suggest?
Thank you so much! Very informative and clear! ❤️❤️❤️

For a pop filter I used to use one of my moms stockings and a metal hangar ☺️
I like you bro, good vibes from the get

What’s it called?
wavy wayne u wavy bro thank u we gotta collabe bro ... are you from st louis ... my brother nico shot a commercial for you we all home studio engineers
Can I get a link for the boom stand pls
Is it good to export a track in .wav format that contained a a mp3 beat track and a mp3 vocal track, or would that be overcompression?
How does akg p120 sound in a untreated room ? Will a pop filter and iso booth do it justice as well ?
Just wanna know if it’s also good to work with
Should your soundproofing be behind you or in front of you??
do you use the kaotic ball for home recordings?
Excellent thanks
