    it gets me how the counterfitters will go to such lengths to make it similar to the actual item. why dont they just try to make good knives on their own?

      Yeah no doubt. Seems silly.

      Because you wouldn’t buy it your buying the knife because of the brand it has built which is really the hardest part of launching any product

    I recently called out an EBay seller for peddling these fakes at the same price point as the real deal . He replied they were authentic and that I didn’t know what I was talking about . I then proceeded to point out all the differences and he got real quiet . Last time I checked he’s still selling em .

    Phew my esee is real! I got stung on a gerber strongarm once and didn't realise for ages. Wasnt until i saw a show like this that i realised. I punished the hell out of that knife and it performed as you'd think a strong arm would.

    I ordered a Helle knife from Amazon once. As soon as they sent it, I noticed it was being sent from Pakistan. I emailed the company asap and I put out a review instantly on Amazon. They sent me the actual Helle knife I ordered and apologized. Someone who is not a knife person will get scammed easily

    I wouldn´t say the handle is something to consider when checking if you tool is a real one. Mine has all the diamond texture, the code in the hilt, the right letter color...every single thing yet the since it is an older model the handle is flat.

    I agree, you got scammed when you paid 5 times the price for the “ original “ ESEE. How can you go wrong for $40 ?

    • @RealitySurvival

      It’s a pretty dang good clone for sure.

    the real esee serial numbers are smaller and slightly italicized, I have seen fake serial numbers are slightly bigger and more blocky

      @ I might have a fake ESEE-4, I have 2, one is for sure real, the other has some differences, but not anything like the one you show

    I’m curious how the fake performs

    • @RealitySurvival
      @RealitySurvival  9 месяцев назад +1

      If I had to guess it will be identical in performance except for slightly less comfortable in the hand. 1095 steel is pretty low end steel so I imagine that is probably what they use as well. Hard to verify that for sure but it’s an educated guess.

      @@RealitySurvivalI guarantee that the steel is not the same. There’s no way that the knockoffs emulate the Rowan heat treatment. The knockoffs won’t stand up to the same abuse as an actual Esee.

    Chinese companies stealing Americans hard-earned work and sales is a HUGE problem, they seem to think that they can steal with impunity. I don't understand why they just don't invent their own, especially considering how we are constantly hearing about how intelligent they are, but yet everything we invent ends up over there for some reason.

    • @cristianfuentes69
      @cristianfuentes69 5 месяцев назад +1

      the chinese have very good brands nowadays, like Sanrenmu, Ganzo, Ruike, etc... some make more knives than blades... but in north america they also counterfeit or clone vehicles and other things from Europe or Japan, there is also the Axis Lock for example from BM which Kershaw calls Duralock, and so on, also to say that almost everything is made in china or hong kong, even shanghai... I bought the Esee 6 on amazon 3 days ago from Chile for 200 american dollars, that's the scam... shipping is free... now I want the Esee 4, will I pay 150 more or buy a good clone for 40 delivered to my home? ...if you are north american maybe you do it out of protectionism, but if you are not you will not give a damn if it is a good clone... then north american companies should ask a fair price like for example Scharade that does.

    I’ll part with my all inclusive weekend stay Mari Largo, where you get to have three rounds of golf with the former president and you dine with the former president and his wife. I’m letting it go for 19.95 that includes being flown down there on Trump force one and back. Are you interested?
