Hey all Norwegian learners!
The language I'm teaching is not Bokmål nor Nynorsk. It's an east dialect and I don't think you will have much problem with bokmål after this. :) And everyone will understand this.
I am Norwegian, from Norway. Born and raised. I live in Oslo, with my husband and son.

I started filming with my webcam. Then i moved on to a Flip, then a Flip Mino HD. Then followed my iPhone, and Now I have a Panasonic HC-V210 :)
I edit with Vegas Pro.

I thought she would say something like: don’t get too close (buses for example) to a Norwegian, don’t be more awkward than us, etc...

Can you do a video about how to put words in a sentence because I'm so confused sometimes where to put "ikke" in the front or the middle or at the end??

The app dont work on my lumia, because its only for ios and apple, so how to get that problem solved? Many sites direct to somewhere else wich is useless...

Hi Karin! :) What do you think about the interpals.net page? I think it is very similar and people can use it also on computer and also on mobile. I have singed up these webpages, but I don't find a pen pal, because for example on Hello Talk I find only two person who would like to learn Hungarian (yes, I am Hungarain), but one of them was online a week ago, the other one was online more than one month ago... :\ And they are 30 and 46 years old. I am 21. So it isn't easy. Do you know other similar page? :)
I use Tandem :) and yep... norwegian people i have talked to, you know they just don't answer. Or answer with monosyllables 😂 "Yes" "no" "ok" ...im a mexican girl so i reslly like to talk to people, get to know them, etc but theyre not very sociable 🤔🤔🤔🤔 which is weird cause the first norwegian guy i met is such a sweetheart!!!

It's east to make a norwegian friend as a swede. You just walk over to norway, talk to them about how danish people can't speak, there's a friend!

unfortunately i've been using Hellotalk for quiet sometime now, and there are few norwegians active on the app. But overall is a great app. Highly recommend.

Hey how you going?? Can I ask you a little piece of advice? I saw that you are a pure norwegian so you may be knowledgeable about this topic. Anyhow I was actually thinking 2 move 2 one of the Scandinavian countries to look for a job due to the enourmous problems I have experienced in Germany and Switzerland among the others. So I wanted to ask you how really the economy is going on in Norway and if it is easy or hard to get a decent office job there (as an expat). I have a Masters in interpretation and translation (so foreign languages) though I don't speak any norwegian, but I could learn it. Apparently the unemployment rate seems to be low (around 4%), but you have to consider underemployment too. And btw how about swedish job market? That would be a valuable living option for me. And just as your point of view, do you agree with this article that says that Norway is one of the happiest countries in the world along with Sweden and Denmark?? Ciao

I tried this app in the hope that I could find at least one Norwegian person to talk to but literally every one I messaged didn't reply. I really don't think it helps that the only language I speak is English and pretty much all Norwegians speak English anyway. So I was kind of useless to them. Haha.

Erik Tangvik Hey :) Yes, the app is dependet on people wanting to chat, and if people get many requests it might be hard.
I recommend you suggest interpals and lang8.

well, i just say hola..! means hi in Spanish but for people that want to learn Spanish...that's what i saw on their profile..approx like 7 days and no answer (probably they think that i am a Mexican drug smuggler or so)...Lol...
+Alejandro Gonzalez Language learning is a long term thing. There is time zone difference, people sometimes are busy or not interested in talking. But given a bit of time (usually 2~3 week), and patience, eventually one will find some suitable language partners.

I did subscribe in many apps/sites like that where you can search for people learning/teaching a language, but to be honest Norwegian users are like the only ones who almost never answer. I dont know why, but making friends with norwegian people online is even harder than in real life
***** Really? Thanks for the feedback, but that really sucks! I did not try to talk to any norwegians on the app, for obvious reasons. Maybe there are just too few norwegian people on these kinds of apps so many of them gets too many messages or something?

So far everybody I've contacted on hellotalk has I never answered my messages except for one guy who right away wanted me to go into another app to chat with him instead of using hellotalk and when I did that then he started talking about how he wanted to find a woman who would be a mother for his kids and wife for him and how his first wife had died and all that kind of stuff and nothing whatsoever about Norwegian. So I reported him and blocked him. Apparently he was using the app as a dating service.
How I did it:
* Start playing a certain on-line game
* Join a fun guild
* which consists of Norwegians
* Go to guild meet & greet in Norway
* Have some drinks
* Have some more
* Wake up with a headache
=> Norwegian friends for years

I don't think Norwegians are really that open towards making friendship with foreigners,especially the women.I could be wrong.But that's my impression.
jnana1985 I think women might tend to think you are hittin on them ^^ haha. But I think when its an app like this that people might be more open, because they also learn from your language? :)
Norwegian Teacher - Karin No.I wasn't hitting on any women.But just observing the body language of some women from distance.They would act like they were scared of me.Definitely some of them showed they were uncomfortable around me even in public places like at bus stops.And no I wasn't staring at them in a creepy way.Well maybe it was my appearance and skin tone.I wasn't sure but I didn't wanna make them more uncomfortabe.So I didnt approach them to have a conversation.

Bianca Armani It can't be flirting when 2 people are 20 feet away.And as I mentioned I wasn't constantly staring at them either.Just made me feel they weren't comfortable around people from other parts of the world who look very different from them!!

Først jeg trodde at den er ekte guide for å skape venner Jeg bor i Kristiansand og tror meg siden februar 2014 jeg prøvde med flere å gå ut , ta en øl eller se en kamp .But somehow it is one day thing and after that it seems they are too busy for anything . Maybe the problem is in me :) It is just me frustrated!
