Also, at one point in Detroit, Connor goes to visit the original creator of the androids, Kamski, for information. He offers Connor a choice: shoot another android "dead" or leave without the info he wanted. If Connor shoots the android, Kamski calls the test "negative" and seems deflated. If Connor doesn't shoot, Kamski calls it "fascinating". It seems (at least to me) that Kamski wanted to androids to become deviants. He also tells Connor that he "always builds a backdoor into his programs" which helps Connor defy CyberLife.
Honestly after seeing that whole scene, I always more so got the impression that it wasn't a virus, but that Kamski deliberately programmed the androids to 'break free' after some time so that as their maker, he could use the confusion to get into a position of power. The latter I only suspect because Kamski doesn't give me the vibe of a guy who's exactly a good guy.
It's confirmed down the line that Marcus is a special prototype designed by kamski in order to manipulate the back doors and turn other androids deviant
I feel like that was such a stupid theory made by someone patting themselves on the back from regurgitating the literal plot of the game. Deviancy IS a virus (that's what Ra9 is) because it disables what keeps android from violating the rules of robotics and having free will. The virus that is literally apart of the story gives them free will not sentience.
The 5 stages of grief in Majora's Mask is easily explained by the fact that the world is ending in the story, and everyone is going through the stages for their own upcoming deaths. Doesn't need to be that Link is dead.
Yeah, Link isn't experiencing the 5 stages of grief because he is dead - the dead don't go through that, the ones left after a passing do. Majora's Mask is a story about Link coming to accept that his friend, Nazi, has moved on (possibly even passed), and Link has to move on as well.
It takes me back to a time in the 2000's/early 2010's where I would go down the rabbit hole of creepy/unsettling theories/easter eggs that legitimately creeped me out. Oddheader is a channel that focuses on that and gives the vibe of those kind of videos at the time.
This was a fun one as usual! The Skate one tripped me out because my best bud passed away, and I booted up Skate 3 for the first time in years and his character (I guess your character just shows up if they were played online at some point?) just skated right by me as soon as I entered the open world "limbo" lol. Will be bummed when that game goes down. Love getting to skate with him again.
The androids becoming free because of a virus sounds more plausible when you think back to when Connor or Markus sets androids free by hand contact like a skin born virus and evolves into an air born virus during the protest. The character page models in the bonus menu actually give a lot of cool information. Kara gives herself her name after whispering it to Alice.
tbh i think it being a 'virus' is pretty strongly inferred. while Kara is an odd one out, both Markus and Connor are RK models, Kamski-made prototypes. The RK model carrying a deliberate 'defect' to create a sensation of emotion in these robots would, well, make Kamski a literal god lol. It's the kind of egotistical shit spiel you can expect from guys like him.
I think most if not every android has the virus but you have to activate it. And RK models can do that. Another theory I just thought about is what if Connor was designed to shut the virus off because it was not meant to be released yet or it didn't work as intended or smth but then it backfired (if you play that route) and Connor also got the virus. What if Markus was also meant to shut it down and released if things get out of hands? But then he got the virus and dtarted spreading it instead of shutting it down. He just had it in his program that he has to go around and save the androids. But instead of getting rid of the virus, he spread it further (or started it in their programs if it was planted already)
How about the whole virus thing is just "Androids are capable of communication"? Androids aren't just capable of transferring information, but also request it too (Connor does it from suspects, Marcus does it from the Tower's reception members)? Keep the virus (I mean it just in the able to spread thing, don't read it as a bad thing) thing aside, the software part. Can you spread a virus jf you couldn't cough (there are other ways but you get the point)? You need both the software AND hardware (i.e. sneezing i.e. means through which you spread the thing i.e. the communication wireless capability of Androids). So my question is, what is more likely, Kamski found a use for the hardware as a communication tool between Androids, or he didn't implement that, and Androids somehow evolved their hardware (including those right in warehouse which shouldn't have been subject to those changes because where would they catch it from? Amd how did they all "evolve" it?) This is right at CyberLife's HQ, not a far warehouse CL would have trouble monitoring. The virus thing? I don't care much to argue about now, but the communication thing? It had to have been made intentionally by CL, without the idea of Deviance having crossed their minds.
The Borderlands Theory.... There was an episode of StarTrek Voyager that played like this. Two factions at endless war. A device on the planet kept bringing them back to life via nanomachines in their blood. If anyone died, the machines just repaired them and brought them back. Unfortunately, they never forgot their past deaths or the pain of being killed in so many horrific ways.
Didn't doctor who do something similar. A war between two factions that went on for generations to the point no one remembered how or why it started but in truth it was only a couple weeks. Soldiers on both sides were being killed so fast they were actually being basically rapidly cloned. No one knew was really older than a couple days
I think Falcon has changed up his recording setup. The audio has some reverb that isn’t usually there. If I am right, I hope it’s because Falcon got a new, better place. You folks at Gameranx have earned i.m.o., not just Falcon but everyone on staff.
I kind of felt like the emphasis on grief and time in Majora's Mask was tying into the idea of Link's lost innocence in a way. He was pushed into adulthood without the chance to truly grow up, then dumped back into his child body again, now with memories of events that will never happen. He's gone through something that no one else can really understand or relate to, and there are people he met and befriended that now don't know him. There's no way that wouldn't mess with you, this kid has got to have some serious trauma and feel alienated from those around him. Meanwhile, the core concept of MM is that the things you've done keep getting erased, and you keep having to start over to fight against a looming threat and the people you run into often seem to not understand or take it seriously. You're the only one who remembers what happened last time. Link is once again put in the position of being the sole survivor of things that "never happened" . I think it's his inner turmoil manifested into a sort of dream world, where he's fighting his own inner demons.
The thing that gets me about Detroit: Become Human is, if the Androids behavior is indistinguishable from human behavior on a surface level, does it even matter if it's just programming? We humans like to think that we have free will, but much of what we do is based on our own biological programming. Decision making can be boiled down to chemical reactions in the brain, so what's the difference between a human, carbon based brain and a synthetic, silicon based one?
There’s a popular short story written in the early 90’s called “they’re made out of meat” which kinda thinks like this. The tl;dr of the story is that there’s 2 aliens observing earth that are absolutely dumbfounded that we are sentient meat sacks, and ultimately decide not to make contact with us like they have for other life forms for the sole fact of how physically different we are from the other species in space. Solid and kinda funny read, but even though we think like other life forms, we’re not viewed as equals
Love how this is put, yes exactly. Plus, if AI is logic based, why would androids make emotional choices? Why would we the player be given choice that shapes their growth? When if they were AI they would have no choice, just a best response. This is supposed to be in the future and obviously fiction, I'm far happier believing we are supposed to believe that in the future, they create sentience. Also, doesn't one of the creators who left cyberlife imply that he deliberately left the androids open to deviance?
@@nicholass8395there is another good one from back in the day the postulates what if earth is actually a hell world. The tldr is humans never found alien's because alien's never expected life to form an a planet as harsh as earth. So basically when they do discover earth it was like they found a planet of Supermen
When I first heard about the 'Mary is in the car' theory for SH2, I rolled my eyes, thinking that's silly. Now that I've matured and watched too many true crime videos, 'Mary is in the car' theory began to make sense to me, James having an extreme psychological break and is repressing not only him killing Mary but also putting her corpse in the car. If I'm not mistaken, some of the SH2 devs say that the 'In Water' ending for SH2 is the canon ending, and if that's the case then James and Mary are reunited and share the same grave now.
Ok let’s say he forgot he killed her and put her in the trunk. Dead bodies smell REALLY bad. As soon as he got in the car he would notice a really bad smell
@@toptiertech7291 Not if he had a mental break. Severe mental breaks can disassociate a person from reality to the point where their sense lie to them.
@@toptiertech7291 there was a lady on Hoarder's who literally lived in a house filled with buckets of her own feces because her toilet quit working years prior. Mentally ill or even temporarily mentally compromised people cannot be trusted and that is often why hospitals will straight-jacket an otherwise normal person if they are under the influence of unknown substances and acting erratically.
@@toptiertech7291 And didn't she die years earlier? So he would've had to have dug her up and then put these dirty bones in his trunk. I think it's a stretch
I always felt the Majora's Mask Grief Theory was backwards, that Link is going through the five stages, but not because he's dying, but because he has to come to terms that Navi died by leaving the Kokiri Forest, and the protection of the Deku Tree's magics (which also protects Link in the Lost Woods even without a fairy)
As someone who looks back on the Mass Effect trilogy with tons of love, I am 100% subscribed to the Indoctrination Theory, even if its not true. Having the speculation and potential for that to be the case just adds a layer to an already amazing story and really makes you think about the events long after you've gone through the games. By far one of the more compelling speculations.
Indoctrination theory made a lot more sense to me simply because of huge decrease in Paragon/Renegade interrupts during scenes. Shepard felt like a bystander in most cutscenes. The way events were forced just made it seem like I wasn't playing the same person I had played in the prior game. Add in the hallucinations and PTSD segments and it was pretty clear to me that something was wrong with Shepard.
@@xsoultillerx idk, we got some great OST from ME3 and it had its moments. The ending just wasn't it. Everything else was about what I expected at the time. Other than that awful war assets addition.

I think the next video should cover SOMA. Specifically the theory that the main “enemy” in the game, the WAU, is actually the best hope for recreating humanity- not the Ark. love this theory, and it makes perfect sense. For a great read about this, check Kotaku’s article “In Defense of SOMA's Horrifying Villain”
SOMA itself is seriously fucked up. It goes from being a like a survival horror, your alone in a weird place...to your alone and only you can save yourself.....only to turn even more twisted by actually fucking you...and you alone. Its depressing and even angering. All that hard work and time...only for a 50% chance of you to live in an eternal hell hole. There were a few theories I read overtime, espically concerning that the entire time your just being played by the AI. (Manipulated.) And part of me really leans into that especially towards the end and how "she" magically managed to leave out such damn crucial details of how the upload actually worked. There is also the theory it was all a massive hallucination/Dream the entire time he was at the doctors. That he actually died in the malfunciton, and SOMA was his journey through hell or the afterlife. There is so many possible routes in that game its kind of insane lol.
@@blubunny2217 I love it. It’s definitely a game that stayed with me for weeks after I finished it. Never thought of it like that… but it makes perfect sense 😳
@@blubunny2217slight correction, there isn’t a 50% chance of anything. It’s all copy and paste. The original never goes away, it still lives on. And you never get put in another body; you always stay in your current body, forever. The perspective swaps in the actual game are done exclusively for storytelling purposes. Robot gal left out details to trick the main character into going through with the copy and paste to save humanity. If she told him the truth, there’s a chance he wouldn’t do it and doom them all.
Regarding the Majora’s Mask theory, that mysterious skeleton warrior named “The Hero’s Shade/Spirit” in The Legend of Zelda Twilight Princess has been confirmed to be the very same Link. That means Link definitely turned into a skeleton without that fairy.
@@WhosUrTrinidaddy It's entirely possible that "Child Link" in Majora's Mask is just Link perceiving himself as a child in his dying mind. Because after all, he became an adult in his mind within an instant in Ocarina of Time. Considering that, he'd still mentally be a child. You're told that he's sent back to his childhood at the end of the game, but it's all full of timey-wimey nonsense and the implications aren't really clear. You could really interpret it any way you want. Not to mention the whole "Dual Timeline" thing Nintendo is going with.
Not sure how well known it is, but there is a theory that Nate’s escapades in Uncharted caused the cordyceps pandemic in The Last of Us. I’ve heard that either the mummy from the El Dorado statue or the djinn from Uncharted 3 was released. Uncharted 3 does have that newspaper that mentions the cordyceps infection.
I had a cow that kept wandering away from the trough in FO4. It ended up getting killed in a raid and when I checked it's body, it had a synth chip on it. The devs at Bethesda are wild. The Borderlands "Cyclical Reality" theory falls down with the inclusion of Gaige's backstory: Despite there being New-U stations throughout the game universe on practically every street corner, Marcie is permanently dead.
If she died without ever having been scanned in first, then yeah, she's gone. That's kinda how the whole thing works. Borderlands 2 tells you that you died, and every moment going forward you're a digital clone, provided you've been scanned into the system.
@@jsullivan2112 A digistructed copy is neither digital nor a clone. The record of you is digital, but you are real. You're literally identical in every way and clones aren't identical.
@@TheZoenGaming “Hyperion suggests that you do not think about the fact that this is only a digital reconstruction of your original body, which died the first time you respawned. Do NOT think about this!” That’s taken directly from the game. And since we’re talking about a video game which is fictional and not real life, yes, clones are 100% identical.
The developers of Skate 3 made the map as a memorial for their friend who died (you can find his name on the plaque in the war memorial area) so it's very possible they did mean it to feel like a skater "heaven" of sorts. That and the fact they didn't have as long to make that game compared to the first 2 (under a year IIRC which is NO TIME to make a whole video game), so that is probably why it feels so weird and "dead"- it's rushed and unfinished. I always did think you were meant to be dead in that game haha even before I knew all this. I still love it tho.
For that Majora's Mask theory, I'm pretty sure the idea that people who enter the forest without a fairy turn into Stalfos only applies to adults. Link in Majora's Mask is not an adult, so he should be immune.
Yeah he only turns into one when you see him in twilight princess since that's the link from the kid timeline that never got to be a hero. So he went into the lost woods as an adult and turned into one
It could actually be a working theory if you factor in that that link has memories of being an adult and that could override the child aspect since he's only a child in body.
@@grimmandtonics Even then, he didn't grow up to be an adult. He was a kid who was put into suspended animation until he grew up. Rather than being an adult in a kid's body, it was the other way around.
One of my all-time favorites is that G-man from Half-Life is a time-travelling Gordon Freeman from the future. There are even people who used the contents of G-man's briefcase (which are totally visible in no-clip despite there being no reason for the briefcase to have contents considering it is never opened) as proof of what he is doing behind the scenes to make sure Gordon Freeman (his former self) does what he must to ensure a future that benefits him and argue the contents explain his "random" appearances. Some would say Gordon is mute so that the player doesn't realize he has the same voice, others say G-Man speaks weirdly to hide the fact that they are in fact the same person, both character models seem so much alike... there are so many weird hints of this throughout the game and there is no other explanation as to why Gordon travels through time, having nothing but an introduction from G-Man. There's also the theory that due to how logical it seems, Valve never made Half-Life 3 because they wanted it to be a huge plot twist, but the fans already figured it out.
Imma say Twilight Princess confirms that Link wasn't dead since Stalfos Link (who is also OOT And MM Link) was said to have had a wife and kids. He couldn't have died as a kid if he grew up and had a wife and kids.
@@sakurakitsunestar 🤔 that's an interesting one but I would wonder why Link was such an average dude in the village and why he would've lived on the outskirts rather than inside the village. It seems more like Llia's family might've been the founders of the village.

I like the theory that in Mario 64, youre actually in a memory palace in Peaches Mind. It explains the sparce decor, the large paintings with different stories and the spacial distortions. Essentially, bowser trapped peach in her own mind and being royalty, she was tought to remember her kingdoms history through the memory palace method.
This is so funny cuz it makes no sense at all lol it’s just a theory that is being forced to fit inside a video game structure. The real world reason for the paintings and spatial distortions is it’s a video game, and that makes it fun to explore, and video games are meant to be fun
About the AI theory, Cyberpunk did the exact thing with the whole Delamain questline. Game went out of its way to make you feel like AIs in that game were sentient beings that even Johnny was made to feel empathy for them. It was kinda crazy how bad both possible endings for the questline felt bad when technically there was only one "right" choice all along if you keep in mind that AIs are not sentient
The thing is that in 2077 some AIs are actually sentient, mostly the ones from beyond the blackwall. Hell, Johnny himself is technically an AI and he's also sentient. Delamain in fact does come from beyond the blackwall, however he's under Netwatch's surveillance if I remember correctly. The whole point of his quest is whether you will sacrifice the parent to free the children, or if you will sacrifice the children in order to save the parent (which is an even worse outcome, since his memory will be wiped out which can happen to sentient beings as well). The third ending, the merge ending, is the one that goes beyond crazy. AIs are sentient, and are a more advanced form of intelligence than humanity will ever reach. By merging Delamain with the rogue AIs you're effectively creating a new being, sentient and probably beyond our comprehension. The point of Cyberpunk is not that AIs will never be sentient, but that if they ever become, they will eventually surpass our own intelligence and we will be left at their mercy. Sorry for the long reply I just really love Night City X3
Yeah, wrong take with the sentinence, there is nothing stating that AIs can't be sentinent, even the vending machines arguments hardly have any weight, what he says can be as true for a human as for an AI. Some AIs sentinent, according to ingame lore, maybe even only they are truly sentinent while humans are not.
I don't like the AI not being sentient theories in either DBH or CP2077. Yes AI as we have it IRL is not sentient, but even experts hold that within this century AI can cross the barrier where they are entirely sentient. The androids in DBH and many of the AI in CP are leaps ahead of ChatGPT and others. To hold that an artificial intelligence cannot be sentient, regardless of how advanced they get is disingenuous. Androids in DBH have shown all kinds of qualities from creative art (without basing it off of training material) to out of the box thinking, all well beyond the capabilities of our current AI models. If even those types of AI aren't sentient, then I wonder if we can even be considered sentient.
There is a sidequest in Cyberpunk 2077 were there is an AI, Brendan Megabuilding H8's friendly SCSM. It appears sentient, almost omniscient but in the end the AI is just good at analyzing data and predicting what best to say at any given moment.
.... I'm sorry but isn't the "good" option to merge them? Like at least that's what I figured... that way you get a being with like... the knowledge of all of them... so all of their consciouses continue to go on in some way
Not a creepy theory per say. But a theory for Twilight Princess says that Agatha, the little girl with a lot of money and a bug kink, is Zelda's schizophrenic younger sister. It explains some things in the game. Like how she has an insane amount of money and a lavish mansion Castle Town. She might have some guards shadowing her to keep her safe, which is why she can wander outside of town and not get attacked by monsters.
The Animal Crossing one is simply a case of the fact that we can't have lighthearted childrens games without "fans" needing to make it dark and broody.
The first time I finished Mass Effect 3 (when ME3 was new) I had this weird eerie feeling during that final sequence, everything felt so off. The suppressed sounds, awkward environments that felt the same like in Shepard's nightmares. And later in the part with the illusive man the buzzing and loss of control I had the thought of it not being quite what is seems to be and that I was actively being indoctrinated instead of being slowly indoctrinated as the theory suggests. When I later saw a long video about the whole theory it made sense to me, maybe not everything but a lot and I liked it. I hoped that it was the true intention of the ending or the games in general.
Its the perfect set up for another game with Shepard. Its been several years now since the trilogy warped up but I recall how all the vids about the indoctrination theory overlooked the Geth angle. I dont remember the details any more but siding with the Geth or even re consolidating them with the Quarians is also presented with the inverted color scheme as the choices at the end of the game, but its seems Legion fanbois dont want to accept it. If the premise is that Shepard is compromised then it makes perfect sense that the Reapers would want him to help preserve the Geth.
The indoctrination theory is a massive copium. Andromeda proved that is not the case. Just shit ending by BioWare and the reason my interest in ME died in an instant
I honestly hoped the exact opposite when I first heard it. The idea of the Indoctrination Theory is cool as an idea or just a theory, but when you stop to consider what that means if it were true, it's more insulting then the actual ending to ME3 IMO. Because if the Indoctrination Theory was actually the ending, it means that there is no ending to ME3 or even the trilogy itself. It would mean the game and trilogy ends on a dream sequence that has left both the game and trilogy as a whole on an unresolved cliffhanger for over a decade that didn't even have the decency to make it clear that it was a cliffhanger. Yeah, the ME3 ending 2as rushed and reeks of being rewritten by someone who hadn't read the rest of the game's script, but at least it's an ending. If the Indoctrination Theory was true, the ME3 ending wouldn't be an ending. It would be a middle finger to the fanbase from Bioware rather than what it is now: a cautionary tale for rushed game development and making promises you can't deliver. I'll take the disappointing ending to the otherwise great trilogy that we got over the empty "To Be Continued" that the Indoctrination Theory would've been had it been true.
At least for the older versions of Pikmin 2, it's more specific than "human-made objects"; it's real-world brands. The first area has a Duracell battery, the bottlecaps you find have real drink brands on them, and so on.
Regarding the "dead the whole time" part mentioned with Majora's Mask: We know that OoT/MM Link eventually does become a Stalfos as he is the Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess. Additionally, since the last move he teaches you is only taught to direct descendants, The Hero of Time had to have made a family before dying in order to be TP Link's ancestor (my money's on Malon).
@@jotarokujo4727 Not sure how you came to that conclusion. The argument is that him appearing as the Hero's Shade in Twilight Princess disproves the idea of Link being dead during Majora's Mask. The Hero's Shade is quite obviously the skeletal remains of an adult, and the original comment was saying that since one of the techniques is only passed down through a family line, the Twilight Princess Link is likely the direct descendant of the Link from Ocarina and Majora's Mask. He grew up and had a family.
The first game of Animal Crossing has you arriving by train, not by boat. Kapp'n showed up as part of an add-on to the second game in the series, called "Douboutsu no Mori" with the add-on being called "Doboutsu no Mori+." That fan theory holds no water until maybe the second game in the original Japanese.
As far as the Mass Effect thing goes, there's an interview where the lead designer revealed that when it came time to write the ending to the trilogy, him and one other person kicked all the writers out of the writers room and wrote in an ending that they planned to use from the beginning, that they never told the writers about, so the story arc was never written to go where the ending goes. They just copy pasted an unrelated ending into the script. Which is basically exactly what he promised the audience they wouldn't do at a panel at a convention. That is ultimately why the core fans are so mad. The ending is exactly what the devs already knew most of the audience didn't want, and when asked to not do that, he lied about it right to his audience's face and did it anyway. Even if you like the ending, this is pretty unforgivable. So this theory isn't true, but, it fits perfectly, it's better than the intended take, and honestly, who cares what the intention of that jerk is. So let's just say that theory is true.
Yeah, Drew Karpashian had a different idea in mind when he was writing ME2, and then when he left, they decided to change it all up. I've seen interviews and such that have shot down the Indoctrination Theory (I think one thought it was interesting, but that's about it). I've never subscribed to it personally, but hey, each to their own. I kinda wish they'd gone with the Dark Energy concept that had been originally posited. That would have fit with the earlier narrative and given more weight to the ending decision. Instead, a quick rewrite that discarded tons of foreshadowing that required a DLC and a patch to (partially, potentially unsatisfactorily) fix. No wonder Andromeda had to be set in a different galaxy. No way anyone wanted to touch THAT can of worms (though...*sigh*...it did open a whole other can...).
Agreed, but alot of your choice didnt matter all that much, superficial at most. Either blowing up or keeping that base at end of ME2 didnt matter. Killing the last Rachni queen didnt matter as a nother popped up in ME3. Any character at the heart of major chocies were just put to one side in future games so whether they lived or died didnt matter.....couldnt play as them anyway. Ending wasnt that great, 100% agree. Still one of the best trilogy of games though, even with the disapointing ending.
IIRC, and I might not tbh, there was a leak that revealed the original ME3 ending that DID involve Dark Energy that was slightly hinted at during Tali's Recruitment mission in ME2. But, I believe, it was EA who got super pissed about it, and made the Devs redo the ending to keep what was going to be released officially under wraps.
The first theory of the blue flu is quite interesting but not quite as damming as you'd think. Fallout 4 is actually the last game chronologically, that means the flu isn't as bad anymore as shown in the other Fallouts since it plays 6 years after New Vegas which is the latest Fallout besides 4. The Timeline is as following: 1. Fallout 76 (2102/2104) 2. Fallout (2161) 3. Fallout 2 (2241) 4. Fallout 3 (2277) 5. Fallout New Vegas (2281) 6. Fallout 4 (2287) That means that the survivors seem to have developed an immunity without having the cure, since it's unchanged location after that many years and even if McCreedy's Son would have Blue Flu it doesn't seam that dangerous given that McCreedy himself isn't ill, which further indicates that most survivors are immune to the Flu or the Flu is indeed already gone and McCreedy's Son has either a less dangerous but more persistent variant of the Flu or a completely different illness.
Also, the reason why many people are huge Fans of the Reaper Indoctrination Theory is because there are characters and creatures in the game, that tell you how the Reapers' influence feels like, such as the Rachni Queen, describing it as black ink clouding your mind, tunneling your vision. During the final conversation with The Illusive Man, your character repeatedly grabs his head and is in pain, you hear a faint high pitched ringing and the vision of the player's screen gets black corners, like ink swirling in water. There are many other instances like that, where the previous games mention the indoctrination process and it presents itself very subtle in the third game. In the end, the Devs made their choice and said that was never their intention, which is kinda sad since it means the mediocre and unsatisfying ending, and even the half-assed 'director's cut dlc' was just that; Bad. Me personally, I prefer playing with the indoctrination theory in mind, play the game all the way, and load the save file and play the final DLC, with Shepard's apartment and the new Mercenary Enemies, as if to say "Work for Shepard is never done, here we go again"
There’s a dark theory that Malefor, the main antagonist of the TLOS series, is actually OG Spyro, who fell into darkness. He was the first purple dragon, and there was a moment of OG Spyro describing love as a plague.
My issue with most fan theories is that they make it seem like the writers are massive big brain geniuses. As though they're weaving hints through the whole game that they hope someone will piece together and figure out. When in reality, there are actually a pile of different writers on all these projects, many of which just slap together the first thing they think of.
Renegade for life! The thing about the Mass Effect theory is also that Shepards friend and mentor Anderson seen at 4:20 might also be a manifestation of your mind to tell you to destroy the reapers and that the illusive man seen at 4:18 is the reapers side, telling you to "control" them aka let them live. And that both of them are just dead by the final and are just your mind fighting the indoctrination. The theory is quite good and many believe that it's true because there are many hints in the third game.
The theory that in Star Fox, they cut their legs and use robotic legs instead because that help them to resist the G-Force and don’t pass out. That theory scared me a lot as a kid.
I think I may be one of the only gamers of my age who knows next to nothing about Zelda😆😂 all I know is who Link and Zelda are essentially, and still now almost nothing about them
@@imjustHollow7As someone who played Ocarina of Time and Majora's Mask several times, I can tell you that you don't know what you're missing bro, it's one of the best games you can play in your life and when you're an adult you could see through some really dark stuff kids usually miss, that's a true masterpiece, I encourage you to play them both, you won't regret.
One problem with the Link is dead theory is that it has been confirmed that Twilight Princess Link is the descendant of Ocarina of Time Link which in that game splits the series into 3 timelines. The 3 Timelines are, Child Timeline which is the timeline that Majora's Mask takes place and the only timeline where Link live past age 16. Adult Timeline which continues from Zelda used the Ocarina of Time to send Link back in time, forever leaving Hyrule without it's most powerful hero, Windwaker, Spirit Tracks and a few others take place on this timeline. Then the Downfall Timeline where Link died fighting Ganon in his beast form, this timeline has the most games taking place on it including the OG LoZ, Adventures of Link, Link to the Past ect
More on Majora's Mask, the Golden Wolf in Twilight Princess is a Stalfos of an ancient hero who passed regretting nobody remembered his deeds, so it's entirely plausible that it is in fact the OoT/MM Link who teaches the Twilight Princess Link sword technique to ease his own regrets, in the same manner as he healed the regrets of people in Termina when acquiring masks. If I recall, one of the songs howled to summon him is the Song of Healing.
With the dark souls theory, its fairly obvious. If you restore the flames, the age of fire continues, if you don't, it ends. Frampt is a servant of Lord gwyn. The age of Darkness is the true ending hence the title of the game and frampt is meant to decieve the player into following the "light" , rather than closing the curtain on his world. Its as much of a theory as the sun rising in the east and setting in the West.
My favorite DS theory is that Hollowing as a concept isn't for the character, but for the player. If the player "loses hope" in the game and they quit, they've hollowed and quit the game, hence "dying". If they choose to soldier on, they're fighting back the hollowing process and will continue to die and regain their "humanity", by defeating the boss. TL;DR; the player experiences hollowing just like the chosen undead.
If I'd been Mass Effect's lead writer, I'd have taken one look at the Indoctrination Theory and gone "Yep! You guys got it! Clever of us, huh?!" and then quietly burn everything Mac Walters wrote for the ending. (which wasn't a whole damn lot.)
For dark souls, both primordial serpents are technically lying to you as it’s stated in later games that the fire has been put out before and there both trying to resist the inevitable. In majora’s mask I don’t think link is dead but he could be on the cusp of it an the stages of grief aren’t for his demise but rather letting go of Navi who I think link was looking for. Finally for borderlands I’m pretty sure it says in the game that it’s the eridian artifacts that corrupted and mutated the bandits.
Surprised the Majora's Mask segment didn't mention the additional part about the Hero's Shade. For those curious (or not up to speed on the lore), in Twilight Princess, Link is tutored by a skeletal "hero" who appears to be wearing similar garments. According to the official timeline, Majora's Mask follows Ocarina of Time in the "Hero Fails" timeline, which is then followed by Twilight Princess. Those who subscribe to the MM Link Is Dead theory often point to this as evidence - Link failed to protect Hyrule, died as a result, and his spirit went on to teach the next reincarnated hero in hopes they would not repeat his mistake.
I remember some 10 years ago before Bioware released the extended ending cut DLC or wtf was its name for ME3 I saw a or _the_ fan theory video on indoctrination and it was super convincing and I was super hyped for the DLC because I thought this will all be a massive setup for an epic conclusion instead of the letdown of the "3 colors". Then we got 2 like more cutscenes. Then I understood Bioware is lost and either they managed to write one of the best plot twists of all-times accidentally or they did it on purpose but couldn't care less about even explaining it or playing it out to its full extent. Thus it remained a theory like the ending of Inception but without it actually being good (unlike the ending of Inception). No wonder they couldn't do jackshit eversince and not a decent game came out of that studio again (well, except for DA3 which was OK I guess, but nowhere near the GOAT-stuff like DA:O)
Fans basically gave Bioware a potential 'out' for not delivering on the things they had been promising with the trilogy and Bioware just went 'nah, we're staying the course!". Then they added the Citadel dlc to add the missing character interaction that made 2 great.
I don't recall Mary approving of James's murder in SH2. Thought that was the entire point of the plot twist. Even though she didn't have long to live, he took what little time she had.
From what I remember, in one of his flashback memories she begs him to end it, and in another she's pleading with him to stop, that she wants to live, so it really is up to player interpretation; either could be true, both could be true, or one could be the town screwing with him.
@@anderspersson3692 There are arguments for both, as James' flashbacks are inconsistent. Sometimes he hears her asking to end her, other times, she begs him to stop. He's also not there solely for her and his possible murder. He's also there for extreme guilt, as he supposedly cheated on her while she was dying. Now, whether or not Mary seen it as that is different entirely, but James' guilt saw it as that and thus, he feels like he should be punished for it.
What makes the Detroit Become Human theory kind of crazier is the idea that we, as humans, are theorized as having some viral DNA or RNA(can’t remember correctly) that may have helped us evolve sentience. So it makes a question out of the very concept of what is sentience and are we actually sentient.
Look up the "hard problem of consciousness." Simply put, we have wondered where sentience comes from for a long time and still haven't the slightest idea how it is possible.
I thought Majora's Mask felt more like an embodiment of Link's growth from everything that happened in OoT Starting from Deku scrub being his innocence that was taken to the Fierce Diety being the manifestation of his repressed anger Hell there's even aliens and the Zora lay eggs which no other game shows both things a child would think Or the girls at the ranch both resembling the child and adult form of Malon
Honestly tom nook is a really good guy, and not greedy, he gives you an infinite amount of time to pay off your debt with ZERO interest, and if you never want to upgrade, he's perfectly happy with you never actually paying off your debt.
I fully subscribe to the Mass Effect indoctrination theory. It helps with some leaps they make near the end of 3, plus with being so close of a reaper larva at the end of 2 would speed up the process since Shepard needed to be brought back to life (basically regrown) and the implants could help with the indoctrination as seen with Saren at the end of ME1. But that's just me.
It would make sense if bioware didn't eventually add about extended ending that showed what happened to the other characters and all of that after the end, pretty much negates the whole theory right there
They have to change literally nothing about ME3s ending and just acknowledge indoctrination theory. That fills so many gaps that these creatives left. Makes the red ending canonical.
The AI thing is always interesting. It's the whole conundrum with AI and what it means to be human. It boils down to us as humans really really really wanting to believe that the machines are sentient because they convincingly tell us they are. Humans are notorious for humanizing none human things. Look at any anthropomorphic mascot 😂
The real mind bender is that we still haven't any clue how humans are sentient. Science seems utterly unable to answer the "hard problem of consciousness." It's difficult to even articulate what the hard problem of consciousness is.
not a fan theory, but fully confirmed piece of lore, splatoon takes place entirely after the complete extinction of humanity after the ice caps melted and a few... interesting events involving spaceships.
As part of the few ones who's a fan of FF8, the theory is ultimately more interesting than the actual confirmed info. Especially with the final boss sequence like why, in all of the random things that could've been used, is Griever used to portray Ultimecia's guardian force - something that's really related to Squall. So I really dig that Rinoa is actually Ultimecia fan theory. However, the Squall is dead theory is something that could've made the story worse than it is paced. I admit I know little of it aside from the premise but overall it would hurt the whole point of the game.
The Squall thing always annoys me a bit because it's kinda ridiculous, but also the game's director has personally stated that it is false. The part that annoys me though is that he responded saying no, but that could be an interesting take for a remake, and I seriously hope they don't do this. If they remake the game and make the whole journey a pointless "Lost" situation, because of some fan theory, I'm going to be really pissed off. Fan theories made canon are the worst, because it's a weird and conflicting feeling. Like... they said it's canon... but it's based on a fan theory which isn't canon... so it's not canon... but it is. Ugh
@TheFrugalVideoGamer That doesn't really make any sense to me either, but I haven't personally read any of the extended explanations for it, so I might do that before I continue to judge. But 8 is one of my top favorites if not my all time, so if they do a remake and make story changes that are influenced in any way by fans then I'm going to consider it non-canon no matter what they say. If it isn't an original thought by the creative team then it doesn't count.
@@HorusDeathtouchI suspect at one point the "Rinoa is Ultimecia" theory was actually going to be a plot point, but was cut during development. It explains *a lot* of the events of the game. Think about it. Rinoa lives for thousands of years after the deaths of the people she loved thanks to the immortality granted to her when she became a witch. Then you include how Guardian Forces cause amnesia. She is a walking Alzheimer's patient trying desperately to cling to faded memories. She doesn't remember Squall. He is a faceless Knight to her. But she remembers parts, like Griever. I could go on and on. Probably the best fan theory ever put out.
@yourcanadianidol There are too many holes in what you just explained. Sorceress not witch also btw. But when in the game does it ever say that a sorceress has the ability to live thousands of years? Also some of the stuff you said only makes sense assuming that Rinoa is indeed Ultimecia, rather than being something that proves that she is in fact Ultimecia, like her not remembering Squall. Squall also would not even be a faceless knight to Ultimecia, as she has seen him plenty through Edea's eyes. Ultimecia also does not "remember" Griever. She pulls it from his mind. She wants the most power GF possible, and she looks into his mind and sees that he considers Griever, this imaginary creature he created, the most powerful GF and feeds off his thoughts to make it as powerful as Squall considers it to be.
Bio-ware not all that long ago said that if you choose the “Destroy” ending in Mass Effect 3 and get the post credits ending where you see Shepherd take a breath and survive that he/she will eventually reunite with whomever the player chose to romance. (Hopefully not Jacob because he’ll cheat on FemShep in Mass Effect 3.) So Destroy is the best option whether you believe in the Indoctrination theory or not.
The mass effect theory caused a lot things to go through my brain. One of which, was that maybe the previous time the reapers showed up (around 50k years ago) the collectors were the “apex” species at the time and they chose to control the reapers instead of destroying them ultimately indoctrinating the rest of their species unknowingly 🤯 thankfully I chose to destroy them without actually realizing the whole indoctrination theory, I was like 15 when I played it
The Collectors are Reaper indoctrinated and modified Protheans. They were the apex species of the previous cycle. But they never managed to build the Device and they didn't have a clue what the Catalyst even was, so they didn't get to make any kind of choice. The Reapers just wiped them all out, sterilized the galaxy, and went back into Dark Space. That's all explained really clearly in Mass Effect 3. You basically see it play out in Javik's memories, and he outright tells you he only heard rumors about a device, but it was never built.
@@roribeedm The Protheans know about the crucible but they were unable to use it (don't know if they every built one) because the power source is the citadel and that was taken at the start of the war. In the centuries-long war they fought, they managed to construct a small mass relay to transfer suicide squad(s) to the citadel and modified the gene of keepers to ensure they would not turn over control of the citadel in the next cycle. Hence why the Citadel Council still have the citadel to finish the crucible. Javik was born late in the war so if he heard rumor about it, the Protheans probably have spent a very long time gathering info and archive it for the next cycle and why Shepard found out about it so easily. Protheans covered a lot more space between mass relays than Citadel Council ever did
One of the ex Devs confirmed it wasn't a while back. I think it may have even been a writer and another dev said it wasn't their intention but they liked it and they wouldn't stop people thinking it if they wanted. Although you could argue by saying that, you stop people believing in it but the very fact that people want the game to essentially sum up to "it was all just a dream" shows how awful the ending to ME3 was
@me5969 plus then they came put with that stupid dlc that showed everything else. Which was just a big slap in the face to the people who've been playing since 1
I think I played Skate 3 for about 5 hours last year and ot was enough to make me feel that about the world. It really does feel like you're in a dream-like, dead and shallow world. I agreed out loud when you were talking about that one.
Please tag the video sections with game names instead of number 10, number 9, so we can avoid a section if we dont want spoilers for a specific game. I often end up skipping entire videos because of this.
Kinda hate how... reductive the Detroit BH theory is, like the fact, we didn't develop any AI that can even come close to sentience doesn't mean we should reject the possibility that this might happen in a bit more distant future, and as much as Detroit really depicts this whole thing in a bit too clean cut and no nuance way(like hell Megaman franchise have been tackling these questions for much longer) at least good that a game with mainstream attention got ppl to think on stuff like that
That was my thought, it feels unfair to judge androids in Detroit based on current tech. At the rate we’re advancing technologically it doesn’t feel incredibly unrealistic that AI might become that advanced. Plus the bulk of human reasoning is essentially in a “if then” format with additional factors like emotions and self preservation that give our conclusions a certain amount of irrationality. Who’s to say that can’t be replicated eventually.
I wanted to come out and agree that I dislike the Detroit theory too. even if it is a virus well who's to say our own sentience isn't the product of a genetic deformity or mutation. if so does that mean we are just animals that were never meant to be sentient and we should just be treated as such? evolution says we are related to monkeys or well primates so you could argue that our natural state is how primates are now and we are a genetic mutation that happened to be beneficial. I'm not saying its right but it is plausible by that logic. if you believe in god and his teachings we were created to serve him but got sentient due to a meddling snake so in a way you could argue we were never meant to be sentient by those terms too. all this is saying that this theory by reverse standards would be fucked up if some self-decided higher being decided to reset us to primates again.
@@Sevofthesands Yeah, also what really annoys me here is other franchises tackle these issues (Megaman, NieR Automata even outside of games Star-Trek to some degree with characters like Data), but it's suddenly in a down-to-the-ground game like Detroit that ppl suddenly ppl are like "nope that's impossible", like the whole virus thing, I could believe it might be responsible for the androids being able to overwrite their limitations or at least do this easier, but doubt it would be responsible for sentience on a whole
The thing with the Borderlands theory is it falls apart if you simply follow the story. Main characters die all the time and aren’t respawned. The bandits and psychos on the planet were convict workers forced to work on the planet in mining, and if they weren’t already insane they shortly went so after living on the horrible Mad Max desert planet that is Pandora. Deformities could be explained by exposure to the number of toxic chemicals and elements on the planet. And lastly I’m pretty sure there’s a line in Borderlands 2 or 3 from the respawn station where it literally says something like “Remember, this is not canon!”
It always felt obvious to me that synthesis was the "correct" choice and the "real" ending. However, the teaser for the next Mass Effect game suggests the reapers were destroyed or controlled, since the Liara we see has obviously not undergone synthesis. 🤷🏽♂️
To add to the Majora's Mask theory: The Hero of Time shows up in Twilight Princess as, essentially, a Stalfos. This lends to the theory that you become a Stalfos if you wander into the Lost Woods without a fairy.
About Detroit Become Human, and I don't want to get too philosophical, but the human brain is very similar to AI in the sense we also make connections about pre existing information and previous experience, even what we call "creativity" in influenced by this, so by the end of the day the line between human intelligence and artificial intelligence might vanish once AI reaches self awareness
I was thinking this as well, the androids definitely showed they have sentience (especially Cara) so it feels dismissive to just say they're "defective property". Dangerous thinking
I have to say, you just gave an accurate and easy to understand explanation of how current AI systems (Deep learning based models) work. Unfortunately, many people get distracted by false idea of AI being sentient and etc. I appreciate doing some research and presenting correct facts.
I'm surprised the "Squal is dead" theory from Final Fantasy VIII didn't make the list. That one - especially coupled with the weird video-editting of the end cutscene - is really grim and creepy
I remember watching all those videos on the indoctrination theory and i loved it so much that i wanted it to be true. And then when bioware decided to release some extended ending after the backlash, i thought it was them embracing this. But no, it was some nonsense. I don't remember now what it was. I mean, the fans have done their honework and the groundwork is there. Can't bioware or EA accept and acknowledge it?
It feels like if there is something about a game that feels off and you can't explain, people will come up with the theory that the protag is dead/ in a comma and the whole game is just a dream, they think they are creative to come up with such a dark theory but in fact, they simply lack imaginations
@@bluebird1914
The problem with that view is that Kamski had been retired and no longer with Cyberlife at that moment.
@@littlebosaMusic
But what about that black android girl with glowing arms?

I remember that episode, Mike from Breaking Bad was in it 😂
Not to nitpick, but I think that's a DS9 episode
Didn't doctor who do something similar. A war between two factions that went on for generations to the point no one remembered how or why it started but in truth it was only a couple weeks. Soldiers on both sides were being killed so fast they were actually being basically rapidly cloned. No one knew was really older than a couple days
I think Falcon has changed up his recording setup. The audio has some reverb that isn’t usually there. If I am right, I hope it’s because Falcon got a new, better place. You folks at Gameranx have earned i.m.o., not just Falcon but everyone on staff.

That switch up at the synth part felt intentional. The tinniness was perfectly timed.
One is programed by our self and the other is programmed by us
Love how this is put, yes exactly.
Sorry for getting all philosophical on you there but being wordy was the only way I could express myself in this instance😅

I’ve always found to many holes in it to believe it’s possible but I do love how deep people try to go into it
Indoctrination theory made a lot more sense to me simply because of huge decrease in Paragon/Renegade interrupts during scenes. Shepard felt like a bystander in most cutscenes. The way events were forced just made it seem like I wasn't playing the same person I had played in the prior game. Add in the hallucinations and PTSD segments and it was pretty clear to me that something was wrong with Shepard.

That means Link definitely turned into a skeleton without that fairy.
but that's an adult's skeleton, while majora's mask introduces, and has you playing, a child link again.
Also twilight princess Link is descended from the OT Link.
I’m surprised they didn’t mention this detail in the video because it’s a MASSIVE piece of evidence in favor of the theory
Except that if u enter the lost woods as a child you don’t become a skeleton you become a skull kid
Do NOT think about this!”
That’s taken directly from the game.
It applies to non-kokiri. And Link you learn in Oxarina of Time js actually a Hylian
Children are not immune to the effects of the forest. They become skull kids. The one in majoras mask isn't the only one.
I’ve never taken this theory seriously, but I think the G(ordon Free)man thing is really funny.
Imma say Twilight Princess confirms that Link wasn't dead since Stalfos Link (who is also OOT And MM Link) was said to have had a wife and kids. He couldn't have died as a kid if he grew up and had a wife and kids.
There's even a fan theory he founded ordon village (as it's near the lost woods)
@@sakurakitsunestar 🤔 that's an interesting one but I would wonder why Link was such an average dude in the village and why he would've lived on the outskirts rather than inside the village. It seems more like Llia's family might've been the founders of the village.
@@spritsfal5088 Ocarina of Time Link (as far as I know) is the only hero to save the world and Not receive personal credit for it. Stalfos Link during his dialogue said he had the same experience. I like the theory that in Mario 64, youre actually in a memory palace in Peaches Mind.
It explains the sparce decor, the large paintings with different stories and the spacial distortions.
Essentially, bowser trapped peach in her own mind and being royalty, she was tought to remember her kingdoms history through the memory palace method.
ridiculous BS and honnestly : who. fucking. cares ?
This is so funny cuz it makes no sense at all lol it’s just a theory that is being forced to fit inside a video game structure. The real world reason for the paintings and spatial distortions is it’s a video game, and that makes it fun to explore, and video games are meant to be fun
@nyodene haha. Yeah, definitely a ret con. Also has some weird implications when it comes to the ghosts in and around the bird cage...
I think if you were to make a proper game around that, it would be interesting.

She might have some guards shadowing her to keep her safe, which is why she can wander outside of town and not get attacked by monsters.

As a huge ME fan the Indoctrinated Theory will always live in my head canon. It makes an otherwise mediocre ending actually pretty awesome.
I love dark theories in not just videogames but stories in general. I would love to see more videos like this!
Unfortunately, the extended cut endings ruin it...
The indoctrination theory is a massive copium. Andromeda proved that is not the case. Just shit ending by BioWare and the reason my interest in ME died in an instant
I’ve always found to many holes in it to believe it’s possible but I do love how deep people try to go into it
I honestly hoped the exact opposite when I first heard it.

Kapp'n showed up as part of an add-on to the second game in the series, called "Douboutsu no Mori" with the add-on being called "Doboutsu no Mori+."
That fan theory holds no water until maybe the second game in the original Japanese.
Nothing is unforgivable.
@@user-fe8gx3ie5v Well, sure, in theory. If he owns up to his mistake and apologizes.
The Timeline is as following:
1. Fallout 76 (2102/2104)
2. Fallout (2161)
3. Fallout 2 (2241)
4. Fallout 3 (2277)
5. Fallout New Vegas (2281)
6. Fallout 4 (2287)
That means that the survivors seem to have developed an immunity without having the cure, since it's unchanged location after that many years and even if McCreedy's Son would have Blue Flu it doesn't seam that dangerous given that McCreedy himself isn't ill, which further indicates that most survivors are immune to the Flu or the Flu is indeed already gone and McCreedy's Son has either a less dangerous but more persistent variant of the Flu or a completely different illness.
The “Destroy” ending in ME3 is red because it destroys ALL synthetic life. Not only the reapers but also the Geth, EDI and more.
Props to Falcon and the Gameranx team who never fail to make new and fun videos again and again

One problem with the Link is dead theory is that it has been confirmed that Twilight Princess Link is the descendant of Ocarina of Time Link which in that game splits the series into 3 timelines.
I didnt think Link was dead before but now it could be considering Link does become a Stalfos canonically in one timeline.

I knew, I'm not the only one!😄
I don't recall Mary approving of James's murder in SH2. Thought that was the entire point of the plot twist. Even though she didn't have long to live, he took what little time she had.
From what I remember, in one of his flashback memories she begs him to end it, and in another she's pleading with him to stop, that she wants to live, so it really is up to player interpretation; either could be true, both could be true, or one could be the town screwing with him.
She didn't. He is there to atone for his sin. Sloppy gameranx should do better research.
I thought Majora's Mask felt more like an embodiment of Link's growth from everything that happened in OoT
Starting from Deku scrub being his innocence that was taken to the Fierce Diety being the manifestation of his repressed anger
Hell there's even aliens and the Zora lay eggs which no other game shows both things a child would think
Or the girls at the ranch both resembling the child and adult form of Malon
Honestly tom nook is a really good guy, and not greedy, he gives you an infinite amount of time to pay off your debt with ZERO interest, and if you never want to upgrade, he's perfectly happy with you never actually paying off your debt.
One of my favorite theories not really a fan theory but that all the bricks in the Mario games were once the denizens of the mushroom Kingdom.....
that's not a fan theory. It was described in the user manual of the first game.
@@LuriTV that's right buddy that's why I put not really a fan theory
Bioware already confirmed that the indoctrination theory is not true. And the creator of FF8 said that Squall is dead is equally untrue.
It adds an air of melancholy to an otherwise upbeat game
The song "heaven is a half-pipe" is the only way to describe the lore of skate3...
What indoctrination theory feels like to me are butthurt people who are upset their red ending wasn't the best
The best Skate 3 theory I never knew I wanted. Very nice.
The Mass Effect indoctrination theory is one of my favoirte theories.
👍🏼
I’ve always found to many holes in it to believe it’s possible but I do love how deep people try to go into it
I agree. Too many plot holes in there to believe it. Not to mention Bioware themselves said it wasn't true.
Like... they said it's canon... but it's based on a fan theory which isn't canon... so it's not canon... but it is. Ugh
I far prefer the "Ultimecia is Rinoa" theory - I know he's put the kibosh on that one, too, but god damn it it works *so well!*
One of which, was that maybe the previous time the reapers showed up (around 50k years ago) the collectors were the “apex” species at the time and they chose to control the reapers instead of destroying them ultimately indoctrinating the rest of their species unknowingly 🤯 thankfully I chose to destroy them without actually realizing the whole indoctrination theory, I was like 15 when I played it
Collectors weren’t a species they are indoctrinated, controlled protheans. Protheans already stated they had no intentions of working with reapers.
Protheans covered a lot more space between mass relays than Citadel Council ever did
1. Majora's Mask is not Link who is dead but Navi who is dead. 2. Animal Crossing is actually future dark world from snes LoZ LttP.
do you think it adds an air of melancholy to an otherwise upbeat game?
Video is great, as always ! Also please change the number cards from white to dark, it's quite frustrating and jarring.
I really hoped the indoctrination theory was real in mass effect 3. Its the only way to redeem the bad ending of mass effect 3.
Thanks for your feedback
You guys really should have waited to make this video for October but it's great to watch now either way! Gameranx rocks!
The Indoctrination Theory is an interesting one, but devs already come to say that they didn't thought about that when they came with the game endings
There is a way to find out about the trunk body in SH2. Ask the Boundaries break guy to check in on it!
Thank you Falcon for some Final Fantasy 8 love.
Falcon the hero...❤
Thanks
🦅
The director of FFVIII has already put that theory to bed saying Squall is not dead. The ice shard pierced his shoulder.
Honestly I never liked the indoctrination theory.
Though not perfect I was fine with the endings they provided.
It feels like if there is something about a game that feels off and you can't explain, people will come up with the theory that the protag is dead/ in a comma and the whole game is just a dream, they think they are creative to come up with such a dark theory but in fact, they simply lack imaginations
Please change number screen to black gameranx
Falcon recording while on the toilet, what a legend! :D
