6:18 You could try doing some kind of forced perspective for the hangars that continue towards that t-junction, and really looking forward to see this come together!
Thanks so much! In all honesty whenever I say “I want to do ____ but I think it will be too hard” I usually just do it anyway haha, so maybe I’ll have the full thing
I hope you have a Timelapse set up, it’d be so cool at the end of the project to see it gradually come together. Best of luck on the project, the UCS one was quite a project, I can only imagine how much work will go into the project.
Pretty sure the hangar doors not opening for the whole hangar length in EPIII was due to it being the "Venator II," not the Venator from early/mid Clone Wars where we see the full hangar opening and no real visual identifier of a smaller door in them. The hangar doors either became sealed for most of the length, meaning a new door was needed.. OR.. that smaller door was introduced to leave a smaller profile of attack against the ship's internals. I don't know for sure and dont have the visual models book to check. EITHER WAY, 'rant' aside, very excited to see this thing slowly come together.
Alright Im convinced You Need to be a Lego Designer! After all the "Think like a designer" vids, mocs, etc. They could learn Alot from you! Id give you the Advent calendars for sure! I know your primarily Star Wars but you would probably Thrive in any Theme! Plus how humble an considerate you are, would be a Perfect Fit! (Like a Glove) haha
I have a feeling that in 15 years (when ur collection has tripled) ur gonna make a fig scale version of this. Crowd source the parts or the cash for parts and then u could do it. I'm sure of it
Ah so you are building off the battlefront 2 model, the venator diagram and the clone wars series show that the venator strip ends into a command post that watches over the hangar which you can do if you aren't really interested in the strip that connects to the side bays.
Yes! I believe in episode 1 of this series (the bridge one) I showed my process for that! Essentially I have blue prints scaled up and uploaded to studio
You apologize at some point for being so chaotic, but that is not the impression I get from these videos. Your comments are very thoughtful and I think you're planning well ahead.
I don’t think the battlefront “T” hanger is canon but it’s such a cool idea regardless. I think there are videos on youtube flying around the battlefront maps “creative mode” style including the venator.
They did! Unfortunately now all of my clips and ball joints are disintegrating 😮💨 and my blue bricks that are older than about 15 years have become super brittle as well 😑
What are these random plates and tiles on the floor of the hangar bay "runway"? I feel like the floor should be smoother and more uniform, and mostly (if not entirely) tiled off. Also, I think the door/window pane pieces you are using for the shields for the individual hangar bay spaces are too small scalewise. I feel like using larger panels or other transparent bricks would allow for more size and proportional accuracy.
I think you should absolutely go with the funwhole lights, lighting kits for lego aren't very great and none hold a candle to funwhole's sets, no shame in using those few "custom" bricks
This is super cool man. I know I'm staying tuned for the rest.
Yay!! Thanks!
You're making progress fast! This thing is going to be huger than huge and I cannot wait to see the finsihed model!
Stay safe out there in LA!
Super cool! Exited to follow the build as it progresses!
Such a cool project, looking forward to the next update
Have you considered only building half the ship?
So it is a bit cutaway down the middle with visible interior? Might be really cool.
*_Wooooo!_* it's coming along so incredibly, seeing the proper outline/frame really put things into scale! Good luck with the fires
Thank you!
This is awesome!
This is gonna be frickin awesome! I can’t wait to see more of the building process!
very nice, love the large scale ships. the bridge and area under it look insanely good
Thank you so much!!
very exciting
This is gonna be gigantic 🤩👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Dude. This is FREAKING AWESOME!!
God I wish I had your skills 😭
Aww thank you!!!
Good luck in la stay safe!
Was looking forward to the next installment!
It’s coming along! Enjoying this series.
Yay! Thanks 🙏

Best of luck on the project, the UCS one was quite a project, I can only imagine how much work will go into the project.
Thanks!! I want to get the UCS one still!
Loving the progress!! The bridge looks incredible
Thank you!!!

THIS IS INSANE
Awesome stuff man! Keep it up!
Still not to scale, unbelievable
Can’t wait
Been looking forward to this! :) going to be biiig!
Thank you Halleeuwu!!
yay Mini ARC-170!
If you like that check out the rest of my micro fleet!!! I have so many other ships to this scale to check out!!

Cool❤❤❤❤❤
YEAH A NEW UPDATE

You should Do the original battlefront, two’s layout for the T-junction
14:29 I found a knockoff piece that had a slope equal to exactly 1 plate and considered using it. I wish Lego made slopes that line up perfectly.
It can be done just need to do math it out. Ive seen it in mocs where the cheese slopes line up perfectly But I agree 1 plate slope would be cool
@ Yeah. This knockoff piece was a 2x2 plate with a 1x2x1 slope on top. So you could stack them to make a perfect slope.

Sweet
Wow, it’s already taking shape. Do you measure reference material for the perfect angles and dimensions?
Yes! I believe in episode 1 of this series (the bridge one) I showed my process for that! Essentially I have blue prints scaled up and uploaded to studio
@ Oh I guess I gotta rewatch that episode.
You apologize at some point for being so chaotic, but that is not the impression I get from these videos. Your comments are very thoughtful and I think you're planning well ahead.
Was literally just watching the last episode an hour ago
Wow! amazing!
76232 the hoopty. When will it be?
Thanks!! The video is ready but for some reason rebrickable decided to take a really really long time to process my moc so I’m just waiting 😵💫
@ I understand. Thank you for contacting me.✨☺️✨
I don’t think the battlefront “T” hanger is canon but it’s such a cool idea regardless. I think there are videos on youtube flying around the battlefront maps “creative mode” style including the venator.
didn’t they already fix the weak brown pieces problem?
They did! Unfortunately now all of my clips and ball joints are disintegrating 😮💨 and my blue bricks that are older than about 15 years have become super brittle as well 😑
Damn dude
So when will I be able to vote for this on Lego ideas?
I’m watching this while building the roof to the Hogwarts grand staircase tower! I love seeing the progress on this behemoth of a Venator !
Aww yay!! 😀

Basically just adding some texture! I’m definitely still experimenting with
