Long time viewer here. Im a sheriff's deputy full time but leatherwork is my hobby and destress from work. I truly enjoy your videos when they come out. Today I'm sitting here at the hospital trying to keep my mind calm and just like that a new video from you pops up. Keep up the good work and keep the videos coming.
S Stevenson hang in there buddy. Destress is very important. Leatherwork is the same for me. My makers mark should come in the mail tomorrow.. I’m pretty excited. What do you make for other sheriffs?
I absolutely LOVE your tutorials! Thank you so much for sharing them! I'm new at Leathercrafting and finally have accumulated enough tools to get going!! I'd love to know where I can get custom-made metal stamps of words and logos that fit my press? I just received my press today that is made for stamping/debossing leather, but need several different stamps to press/deboss into the leather. The individual custom-made stamps are very pricey for me! Can I make them with another type of material other than metal? Prior to this, I even bought a (Brand Named) machine that is actually made for doing other crafts, just because I could buy a debossing tool attatchmentment that could be used on leather. I will now use it for making great stickers, although not on my leather projects🤷♀️. I need a computer that must use a certain kind pdf(?) file in order to work... I'm really stuck right now. I am donating leather cuffs and key chain lobs for some friends who want their logos stamped in them. What should I do? I have so much invested into this and the main thing I need for the press is hard to find at a reasonable price. 😥 P.S. I have saved so many of your tutorials!! I can't wait to get started on many of your other leather crafts for gifts. They are beautifully hand-made!
Thank you for your video I always admire all those who do leather work. I my self do leather work and I’ve seen so many video to teach me. I feel like I got a lot down pretty good but one thing I can’t figure out is what type of glue is used? If you can help in this it would be great!!! Thank you in advanced
it's like $5 for the little containers we use and maybe $20 a quart here - I'm sure there's a more local brand of contact cement in Canada that will be cheaper, no reason to pay $88! I just get Weldwood at the hardware store on my way to work, head over to your local hardware store and see what they've got. Just don't use the Elmer's school-type contact cement as it's more of a hot-glue type product.
I really like this one, its just I’m so used to having the back part for money it just looks different to me. And the thing is I haven’t carried cash in my wallet in years. Do like this one a lot.
I see you indicate patterns are coming out. Notice they are not on Weaver’s site with the tools and materials list. Do you have them available on another site to purchase?
I would really like to learn about leather-working to get into it as a hobby. Do you know any good resources that I could use/read to learn and educate myself about it?
I sand them to around 400 grit, then use a little gum trag with canvas - light pressure, it's more the rubbing that does it not pressing down hard! you'll start to feel it go from sticky to slick if you do it right, once you get the hang of it you've got a super easy burnish method!
This is great! I bought a role of faux leather and some A4 sheets of patterned and different colored faux leather (because I don't like using bags, wallets, and shoes made from animals) and i'm super excited to try out making wallets and mouse pads and passport holders. This gives me so much inspiration and motivation!
Something seems off with the way you craft the leather in this video, i've watched all your work before but this one particular video have a bit different rhythm in it.
I told my wife I wanted to order Christmas present from you guys especially the bracelets.....she said oh because they hand forge the leather????? Do you guys give discounts for blonds? My wife says there is no way I can watch you make leather goods on Utube, because there is no such thing. Are there any vacancies in Maine?????

Best thread to use for projects like this is .6mm ritza 20 or another name is tiger thread .buy it all day from rocky mountain leather..
Also they sell johns james needles size 4 i believe when you use .6mm tiger thread , you can check my work out on Instagram henesleather

Where do u see patterns and / or measurements
@@leatherrock9107 In the first few seconds of the video.
The pattern still isn't up on your site, this would be a great gift for friends and family
Yes, please can we get this pattern on your site?
Maybe also with a cash section too? Thanks
Can I find this pattern somewhere please?
Well done......again! It's given me an idea for Christmas presents! Thanks for sharing!!!
Would you be able to make one out of Bison leather I know it's a lot thicker but it would look so much cooler.
What was that stuff towards the end the white stuff u put on the edges of the wallet and what is it used for
Excuse my ignorance. I'm about to start with leathercraft. What is that you use on 9:25 ?
Sandpaper
@@willie_mccoy I mean what is that 'cream' that is applied?
@@lfcstevenlfc it's probably gum tragacanth, a burnishing agent
@@willie_mccoy Thanks! 👍
@@lfcstevenlfc You bet! A good alternative is Tokonole.

Beautiful congratulations 🇧🇷👏👏👏👏👏👏
I see you indicate patterns are coming out. Notice they are not on Weaver’s site with the tools and materials list. Do you have them available on another site to purchase?
They'll be on our own site, we don't work for Weaver they just sponsor our videos and we've used their tools for years : )
Where can I buy the temples?
Do you have a pattern available for download for this one?
How do you work out the length of thread needed ?
Do you have a pattern?
Your videos are really high quality and beautiful. My only suggestion would be that you edit your sound to be more gentle when you hammer.
which clue are you using?
I hate asmr, but watching this before going to bed makes me so calm!
Rick Goedegebuure until he slaps that poor leather with the hammer :)
Gracias
Great craftsmanship
What is that glue you are using?
Inspiration for me...thanks for share video.
Could you give me the kind of stitching chisel you have used in this video? 3 or 5 prong?
No prob! they're in the first link in the description :)
What do you use for slicking edges?
How much is the cost for that wallet?? I want to buy it
What is the thickness of the leather?
is there a way of putting another space but in the middle?? :C. I loved it btw
What did you apply at the end of the video to burnished leather? Is it wax? Can we apply paint instead of wax?
Please help me. I have a DIY project
What is that white thing you used in the end?
Awesome work great videos !!!!
I would really like to learn about leather-working to get into it as a hobby. Do you know any good resources that I could use/read to learn and educate myself about it?
I just wanna know how you burnish the edges with that cloth. Every time I try it on veg tan it never turns out as good as this. Great content!!

Thank you! Gonna give it a shot for sure!!!! Love the videos also keep it up!
sorry what kind of thread did you use for sewing?
This wallet going to be on sale anytime soon?

What’s the cut outs for the wallet
Hi. Will there be any pattern for this wallet? Thank you
Do you guys have a good starter list of tools someone would need to start leather work.

Dont see this one on your web site?
What is the quality of the skin used in manufacture thanx
Name glue?
2:05 almost gave me a heart attack.

Love your vids but can you put the measurements in them.
Why glue the edges when they’re sewn?...
extra strength! plus the glue acts as a third hand to hold all the pieces together.
What kind of leather are these? and the thickness?
first link in the description! 2-3 and 4-5oz hermann oak natural veg tan
Thx ;)

Loved everything aside from losing hearing in both ears.
Heads up to head phone users, if they grab a hammer of any kind mute it lol
