Just about to replace the belts on my 95 Daimler X300. This has saved me looking through the factory manual for half hour. Direct, accurate instructions with no frills. Exactly what we need. Nice one Jesse.
All done. My tensioner sounded like a Flyer rollerskate from the 70's. Good job I had brought a spare just in case so I fitted it.
I'm replacing squeaking belts on my 1995 Jaguar VandenPlas. Video is very well done! No irritating background music; just clear and concise video and instructions detailing the job. Thank you!
Jesse, been watching your videos for a couple of years now the clarity of your videos and instructions is getting to a super professional standard, this beats the crap out of any repair manual
Great videos there Jesse. Just bought a project X300 over here in the UK, to go with my XJ40.
You the man Jessie...
You are great bro. Love the fact you love your jaguars. That's awesome. Great vids.
Thank you! I was hesitant to start replacing belts myself on my '97 VDP, but your video is spot on. AC belt was no problem once you find right tools and jack it up for room to find tensioner underneath. Alt belt still good but probably will change soon cause now I can. Thanks again! Saved me $200 to just change AC belt.
Loved this vid short and sweet perfectly showed everything definitely GAVE THAT BIG LIKE Made my job easy for the day
Heck yeah, thanks for the video. I need to replace my drive belt and now I see that it is super easy.
Nice one, Jesse. This will be very handy in the near future
Just watched this, and then went and took the belts off my XJR6 to replace the alternator. Only added difficulty is the clearance between the radiator fan and the supercharger pulley.
Those tensioner nuts on the alternator are 9/16" by the way. Jaguar toolkit 15mm works but a cheap one I had in my toolkit was too loose.
Tension bolt needs to be turned CLOCKWISE to loosen the belt
Great video, only thing is my alternator adjustment was 9/16", not metric
Awesome ❤❤❤ need to do this soon
man its really nice to not see rust lol , my 95 has alot of surface rust on stuff , i want to sell both of mine and get a v12 before they are too expensive but am worried that the v12 will be a nightmare lol but what if its awesome lol , your thoughts ? good video btw
Your the best thank you so much
Ur awesome king Jessie
hey Jesse, can you make a video on how to change the belt on a XJ6 Series 3?
JESSE,. You need to make a program to show us how to replace the dash guage lights behind the gauges......let us know! THX
Man great video, but I am not able to lose the 1/4 square thread, when I try to loose it, it just wiggles with the pulley and it looks like the thread will snap and break. I tried to penetrate it with anti-rust oils but that did not help. Any help please?
Great video, dose anyone k'now where i can get a picture or a diagram of the layout of the serpentine and alternator belts on a xj6 x300 3.2 1995 ?
What if your alternator belt already fell off do I still need to adjust it or can I just put the other belt right on
The New belt won’t fit. You have to loosen the tension to install the belt and the adjust it to fit right so it won’t fly off.
Where is the tensioner located at
@@workingRUclips549 These Jaguars, don’t have a tensioner like modern cars they use adjustable brackets, pay close attention to the video.
I think I got it I was just puzzle about why the belt popped it off then I have to reposition the alternator just to put it back on
Apparently there is only one belt on mine ?
Can I still run the car without the AC belt?
Yea, you can drive your car without the AC belt, but the air conditioning won't work.
@@XJJesse I was told not to turn on the AC on because the belt would break. Do you know what would be wrong with the AC? Greatly appreciated 👍
Still should show connections your lackin
Bruh, if you’re referring to showing “reinstallation” … it’s just common sense you tripping if you can’t do that.
