The way he took the lead right from the start, and just remained number 1, and increased the lead, really reminded me of Rudisha in London 2012. I think Burgin will have a bright future.
Eric Maldonado-Avendano Goodness me that was the soundest of arguments from you. I have seen the error in my previous thinking thanks to the articulation of your response. I hereby issue a full retraction of my previous opinion and do hereby declare that it is perfectly reasonable and good for a teenager to run that fast in an 800 meters. Thank you!
Russell Coleman: It is an honor to have contributed to your girlfriend pissing herself! Thanks for filling me in on that all important tidbit of information. Runners are the BEST!
This run reminds me of the 2012 Olympic final. Just like Rudisha, Burgin takes the lead from the very start, and dominates the entire race. Wins by a solid margin, never loses his composure and has a beautiful stride. Burgin is the future of the sport. Can't wait to see him progress.
Krzysztof Różnicki, a Polish runner, who is just over 16, will challenge the winner in the near future. He just ran 1:47.27 Polish National Record Under-18 . He just ran it a couple months ago. He also ran 47.47 400 meters personal best recently.
Athlete out of the very top drawer running faster at a younger age than Coe or Ovett. He seems so completely unconcerned about anyone else, dominating from the front. You can see by the others' reactions they're thinking wtf have I just raced against. Performance not matched by the commentator who gets times wrong.
PongGod Not so sure. Max's coach says he is an even better 1500m runner, but they are going gentle with him because he is so young - Easy to forget he is still a lot younger than Jakob in sporting terms. He will end up running 800/1500, but he is seen primarily as having a big future at 1500m.
Well, it will be interesting to see how he performs in the 1500 in the coming years. We could have some interesting rivalries forming between he and Jakob and of course the east African contingent.
ran it from the front with no help or anyone else to push him. What a talent.

A 16yo running 1.47 as effectively a time trial is offensive.
Boxing Supraves yeaaa he just ran 1:45 last night at British champs sooooo
@@KiDdLAHZAY 1.44.14 in Ostrava🔥
@@aaroncarpenter18 just ran a world lead in 1:43.53
The most impressive thing is his running style; It looks natural, smooth and technically great. He is a born runner.
Let’s hope he progresses and doesn’t burn out. 1:47 at 15 is amazing. I really hope to see him at next 2 olympics running well !!! 🏅
That was incredible. He looked like he was sitting on an invisible chair the whole time.
Isn't it against the law for a teenager to run that fast?
Why would it be against the law wtf? If they are doping then it's against the law but if they aren't then it's all good.

+run Caz Yes runners are the BEST. Good luck on your endeavors in life.
he need to race against ingebrigsten
Lennart Holzinger So true he's such a beast.
i think soon we will see those 2 guys (Jacob and Max) on DL faceing each other
Oscar Beloš I hope we see that would be such an epic race. It's just crazy how these guys are running this fast at such an early age.
ㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋㅋ
He’d batter Ingebrigtsen in an 800m, although the favour would be returned in a 1500m
That was great!
Cool race. 👍
4:50 lol 👁👁hahaha

He's faster than Jakob.
Jakob specializes in the longer races, 1500m thru 5000m. Brandon Miller is more likely to a chief rival of him in years to come.
MB is likely to move up very soon, but I take your point.

Lol he's nowhere near Jakob's level
