So what that means is that FOX wanted a typical television show with 22 episodes per season while Netflix stuck to their streaming format with 8 - 12 episodes and that allowed the writers to tell their story in a way that they didn't have to stretch out so much like in Season 3 where it was very obvious. That's something I realized with a lot of old shows that were written for televison and 22 episodes in mind. Mostly with the CW Shows like The Flash were (at least 10 years ago) the writers weren't even that bad but massivley hold back the 22 episodes format. Because when it comes to the story most writers can do that, the problem starts when they have to nerve the protagonists and come up with filler episodes.

I think when Americans say they're going to Europe it's usually because they're visiting multiple countries because it's so small and you can. You can't really do that in the US, we'd specify state.
I feel like usually people are more specific in real life about where they go in Europe but sometimes if they literally traveled all over they are more broad and say "I went to Europe". don't forget that European countries are equivalent to states in the US based on size.

The Netflix seasons are *so good* and ,for the lack of a better term, *efficiently condensed* You'd think the shorter number of episodes would hurt it, but no. Like with season 2, the pacing feels *just right* and you can tell that they trimmed down the fat *considerably* Yeah it means much fewer fun, one-off episodes, but I'll take consistent pacing, writting and clearly a higher budget over it.
