I don't have money to go get actual muay thai lessons or any fighting style of the kind. Your videos replace that and i just want to say thank you. Your fight tips are like straight to the point and i love that. I wanted to come to your 1 mil party but i live in the UK. You deserve your 1 mil Shane!
i practiced just a few strikes a few times and now both my shoulders are injured because of this is it rotator cuff or not idk. its not big injury but very annoying i cant work out properly doctors ignore me, please help me what remedy should i apply
Ivan Ong u still need to spar with guys that are good in muay thai if u want it to do something for you. I can throw 450 tornado kicks but if I donno how to use them I still lose. Same with boxing and grappling.
1. Just the tip (that's what she said) 2. Being too far for effective footwork 3. You let your guard down to throw a strike 4. Don't get fancy, it's a spear like strike, not a ballroom dance. Unless you are very well trained 5. No angle, you'll hit their defense or miss a good shot if you throw randomly Good video. I agree that these are things I notice when I practice
Dude, I train daily, I look up how to do almost anything your videos are at least top 3 as far as martial art demonstration videos, they're good man. Thank you, seriously, this is a good channel and I actually learn from it.
Kickboxing helped my brother a lot. He was really happy go lucky whenever you’d see him until the kids at school started picking on him all the time. He’d be at home upset at just the idea of going back in to that school the next day. I hated seeing some one so excite about life just defeated. He and I bonded over MMA and I had been taking some kickboxing lessons for 6 months. I’d been enjoying it so I suggested taking some classes too. Not really to fight but to gain confidence in himself and to get comfortable with his body. Anyway long story short he took classes and I saw his confidence come back. I was happy for him. Unfortunately he used some of his training on a few kids at school and got in a lot of trouble. The parents decided not to press charges (thankfully) but he lost his job and he’s likely not going to be allowed to teach again. I’m happy he got his confidence back.
I gotta say, this is one of my favorite youtube channels ever. You know what you are talking about and you know how to explain these things even to people who don´t know anything about them. Keep up the good work man!
i practiced just a few strikes a few times and now both my shoulders are injured because of this is it rotator cuff or not idk. its not big injury but very annoying i cant work out properly doctors ignore me, please help me what remedy should i apply
Once when my local police force visited my high school to talk about careers, one of the police sergeants said that she once "sliced open" an attacker's throat clean using her elbow, with many of her colleagues confirming her story. She always said that using your elbow is a great way to confuse and do very high damage to attackers if done correctly. I miss that cop lady, she had bad-ass written all over her XD.
I've seen a video of two russian, drunk guys fighting over a very dumb thig essentially, but as they're fighting, one of them takes down the other to the ground, and then, the guy that's being grabbed starts to elbow the other guy... ON THE THROAT! And he does this like 15 times before the spectators stop him, and this is where he realizes that he just took the guy's life, by repeatedly striking him in the throat with full power, non-stop elbow hits.
Hey awesome learned a lot . but what is that white orb thing at 2:40 coming down the back just off your right shoulder near the corner black wall pad , does not look like dust to me wtf!!!
i practiced just a few strikes a few times and now both my shoulders are injured because of this is it rotator cuff or not idk. its not big injury but very annoying i cant work out properly doctors ignore me, please help me what remedy should i apply
Recap: 1. Use the tip of elbow to slice instead of forearm 2. Don't throw them from too far (find range) 3. Do defend urself with guard when throwing elbows 4. Don't be too fancy as an amateur (spinning shit is hard) 5. Do throw them from different angles to cut guard
Love your videos, been following your channel for a while now; thank you for taking the time to put together these amazing materials. :) Really great work!
Shane I love this kind of videos but I really miss the kind of street fight or self defense videos that were the beginning of fight tips and that's when I started following you. I know we should train but I would really like to see more of those. Keep it up!!! Violence is not cool fighting should only be done in self defense and bullies SUCK
Shane I started boxing 4,5 months ago and my trainer said that I need to lose some weight and get in shape and I'm ready to spar with other that are same age as me so can you recommend some stuff for my to eat I'm 15 and I weight 100 kilograms.
A good idea is to eat things that have a low calory density, like vegetables. It's really hard to gain weight on vegetables and it's a little easier to loose weight. I feel that protein is usually more satiating compared to the calories than fat and carbs. It basically boils down to calories in vs. calories out, so if you can achieve that without feeling super hungry, that's what you should stick too.
Fight tip:elbow your opponents bicep in the Thai clinch if you hit the space between the bicep and triceps the arm will temporarily not be able to move
Gregory Aguirre yeah basically focus on it . doing it slow will help u focus . After u grind alotta reps and it's an extinct . do it in normal speed . then hit the bag. I used this to fix my kicks and to help my friend get rid of his bad 1-2 .
Hey Shane, idk if you'll get this. But when I throw elbow strikes on the bag I nearly always graze my arm/elbow. This deters me from practising them. Is there a way to prevent this? Or do I wrap my elbows up before striking? Thank you any responses would be appreciated!
Thank you very much for uploading this video. I have one question though. Is it advisable to condition the tip of one's elbows the way one conditions the bones of one's forearms (with a wooden stick or a sharpening steel, for example)? Until now, I mostly refrain from conditioning the tips of my elbows, because I am afraid that I damage my elbow joints. Thank you very much in advance for taking your time to answer my question.
Shane, I have watched your videos forever, and i have a question, I'm afraid of getting hit, so in a fight, should you just go for it, or should you stay back? Someone please help
I've never been in a real street fight before and I've been watching a lot of the videos on this channel...I just hope I somehow apply all this info the right way and be successful when the time comes lol. I'm not naive enough to think all I need is this w/o any training but shit I hope this helps lol
One thing I tried on a Sandbag but never in a competition is throwing a fake left jab and immediately throw in my right elbow instead. Will this actually work?
You mean I can't just stick my elbows out like I'm doing the chicken dance and start spinning to become an invincible cyclone of elbow strikes?
No it definitely works. It's a fundamental part of the hurricane in ameridote.
Man, I need your profile pic. Urgently. 3:
Pls.
Its hilarious and an absolute joke. Until you knock someone out with it, then its a secret technique Steven Seagal taught you.
A move like that wouldn't even need to hit in order to get the other guy rolling on the floor.
Hahah, more than enough. I appreciate it, m8! Thanks. :)
A perfect elbow should NEVER be seen coming!
HNX Media so should round house kicks, spinning back kicks, wheel kicks, flying knees,
So should all the kicks knees punches takedowns and everything in fighting. Thats what its about.
Slow motion:allow us to introduce ourselves
Would you buy a comic from a company called Roaring Elbow?
@@suplexpiledriver4428 Hell yeah, that is a perfect indie name! Love it!

You owe me a new heavy bag shane... i ripped my heavy bag with my elbow by gettiing perfect slice.

The one dislike is Stephan Bonnar still mad about Jon Jones messing him up with elbows
There are 3 now. I believe one of them is Munoz he's still bitter about weidmans elbow. i45.tinypic.com/n5g5s7.gif
Slave Owner Stephen Thompson Matt hammil loves Jon jones elbows because they got him his biggest win of his Carr

Elbow strikes are great.
Fight tip:elbow your opponents bicep in the Thai clinch if you hit the space between the bicep and triceps the arm will temporarily not be able to move

How are you going in setting up an app
Because I can't wait
whats the tip for a proper step in elbow, do i throw a step in jab first and follow up with a elbow? is the a proper way of setting it up ?
Is throwing hooks the same motion as elbows or no? Thanks
Shane can you do a front kick mistakes plz
palm out was my favorite tip from this
thanks shane
One of the trail blazers in MMA elbow strikes was David "The Crow" Loiseau... He's bloody up his opponent in NO time.
hey i hve a question
how often should i jogging for muay thai per week
Good stuff
How do I train elbows on heavy bag? Do I tape my elbows or cover them, because mid way workout, they start bleeding
thx for the tip i always mess up and hit with my forearm how can i fix that? its kind of a habit i have now😕
Gregory Aguirre break that habit. do a ton of slow elbows . then when u get used to hitting with ur elbows . go full speed
Megarandom but when i do the slow elbows fo i use the bag to practice or just kinda shadow box but with slow elbows?
Gregory Aguirre first shadow then bag
Megarandom ok u gotcha but slowly and then faster
Gregory Aguirre yeah basically focus on it . doing it slow will help u focus . After u grind alotta reps and it's an extinct . do it in normal speed . then hit the bag. I used this to fix my kicks and to help my friend get rid of his bad 1-2 .
