I never knew bars came with different flavours
The bars are about 2cm longer reach than most bars, Tom. You'd need to put a 110mm stem to maintain the same bikefit. Also, you said they feel wider - might be due to the flare in the drops? They're probably 42-44cm at the drops. I've been thinking about trying a set of these in 36cm. 36cm at the hoods for the aero gains and 40cm at the drops for control and sprint power.
You look like the kind of people that controls their garage door with Di2.
That would be so awesome...

New bars look really good. I was interested in your comment that they are quite comfortable as I’d always assumed the flatter aero style bars wouldn’t feel very good.
Thoughts on the pursuit shape; these come in the pursuit or compact shape, trying to decide which to go for. Got a hunch the 36cm pursuit ones may be great for me but I’d likely have to go back to a 100/110 mm stem from my current 130mm, whereas the 78mm reach on the compact version would allow me to use the same stem

Those bars look sooo grimy on that bike, nice and aggressive, almost makes the bike look like it's crouching and ready to attack. I have a 7.0kg SuperSix EVO with 3T's top of the line Aeronova carbon bars that's transitioning into my climbing bike too, but for my new steel build, I've been wanting a more aero bar than the traditional round Fizik 00 bar I have on it now.
I'm glad Shimano made a set in aluminum. I'm finding that on a steel bike, you don't need a carbon post or carbon bits because the frame does all the buzz soaking for you. Thanks for the review.

So, all I want to know is how stiff are they in a sprint compared to alloy bars or modern integrated carbon bars. Cheers.

Hey man, what's your take on the zipp handlebars? I recently got a pair as they looked awesome on your bike and the dimensions seem like they'd suit me. I'm yet to test them tho. Btw the reach on those pro bars is huge. They're 101mm in comparison to your zipps which are 88mm. You may have to lose the 130mm stem to achieve the same position on the hoods. Would be a shame to switch out that zipp stem!

your zipp may be 85mm

it is 105mm reach ... and drop 130mm ... i am waiting for a 36cm that have 101mm of reach with 40cm on the drops and with the same drop of 130mm ... it´s a very agressive handlebar

Also aero-bar hack: put grip tape on the flat parts for stable aero-tuck. Skateboard tape also works.

The tech specs for the bars show the size 38 will have a 42 size. Your bars will be measured from the ends of the drops but these are measured from the point where the shifter mount.
You will probably need to go down in stem length too.

I don't understand why the bars curve that way, it makes your elbows flare out. It should curve the other way.
Aero position on the hoods. That extra reach will allow you to tuck in your elbows vs have them flare out.
They look sick and will make sick as well, the fact that they are called pursuit don't ring the bell?
Massively long reach on those bars will mess up most folks' bike fit.

That seems really long compared for an Aero Handlebar compared to the likes of Enve, 3T, etc
Saw someone on weightweenies measured it at 105mm
