Just realizing the fact that American homes are not built to withstand strong winds.
Can you find a one to two story structure in Europe that can survive 260 mph winds because I would like to know where you find those
Its not wind its pressure drops. Houses implode. Over half the houses hit are still standing but damaged. That looks pretty durable to me.
Tornados have occurred and will continue to occur for as long as the earth exists. Issue being is that there are more humans on the surface of the planet. My heart goes out to the families that have been effected, but be prepared for more to come. It's a fact of life for those living and building in the tornado prone regions of North America...

This is one of the very few Tornadoes ive seen that has hit a large metropolitan area directly. The only other one that comes to mind is the Joplin tornado. Im sure there is more i cant remember but it has to be very low

So unbelievably difficult to take all of this in, the level of human suffering is beyond comprehension. Hard to know how to help these people in our country and around the world. A check here or there - a drop in the bucket. But a lot of drops can make a difference, I guess. At least let these folks will know we care about them. Wow!

It is the foremost duty of the federal as well as state governments to provide residents with tornado shelters in the tornado ally zone. Hopefully, there is no further tornadoes in the remaining of the tornado season of this year!
