- Leave a like? Today's video is a While Guthix Sleeps Quest Guide which is Grand Master and is one of the most difficult quests in the game. This quest can take upto 5 hours!

This is a Members Only Grandmaster Quest which has an official length of Very long, between 1-5 hours.
The start point for this quest is in the Lengends' Guild where you can speak to Radimus Erkle.
The Quest Requirements for this quest are 23 Summoning, 55 Hunter, 60 Thieving, 65 Defence, 65 Farming, 65 Herblore, 75 Magic, have equal to or greater than 270 Quest points, be able to enter the Warriors Guild (requires Attack + Strength to be greater or equal to 130) along with the Miniquest The Hunt for Surok which you deafeat Bork. You will also need to complete the following Quests: Defender of Varrock, Dream Mentor, The Hand in the Sand, King's Ransom, Legends' Quest, Mourning's End Part 2, The Path of Glouphrie, Recipe for Disaster, Summer's End, Swan Song, Tears of Guthix, Wanted!, Wolf Whistle and Zogre Flesh Eaters.
The items you will require are a Sapphire Lantern, 3 Air Runes, 1 Earth Rune, 1 Fire Rune, 1 Water Rune, 1 Mind Rune, 1 Law Rune, 1 Death Rune, 1 Log of any Type, Charcoal and Papyrus, a normal Lantern Lens, Ring of Charos (a), an Unpowered Orb, items to enter the Black Knights Fortress such as Bronze helm and Iron Chainbody, 1 Astral and 1 Cosmic Rune, 30 Elemental Runes along with some another 3 cosmic Runes, two different combat styles and a Spandragon Seed.
The items recommended are Elite Black Armour as this will save about 15 minutes!

Tips for anyone doing this quest recently:
1. He has you bring all the single runes because the single rune you need on the door is different for everyone. Once you use the rune on the door, you can feel free to drop any of the other single runes that you brought as you need more inventory space.
2. The slayer master in Taverly is now in Burthorpe as many comments have stated.
3. The Hazelmere guy to the East of Yanille has a fairy ring right next to his house. I believe it's CLS, but you can just hover the icon on the full map and it will tell you the ring code I believe. If you have done any of "glouphrie" quests, you have been to that area before.
4. Elite Black outfit will let you into the Black Knights Fortress, so there is no reason to bring Iron Chain/Bronze Medium Helm. Also, "Medium Helm" is never clarified, so I brought a full helm :) It did not let me in, so I put the elite on and it let me in - no problem.
5. If you have not already went to the Black Knights Fortress while reading this comment, you need more free inventory spots than what he shows on his screen. He also says you don't have to bring the two key pieces, but he has them in his inventory. Just deposit them, don't bring the Iron Chainbody/Bronze Med Helm (bring the elite set) and make sure you have 10 free inventory spaces. You will then have to search for a bunch of items once you're deeper into the fortress and you will need exactly 9 spots for the items you find during your search, as well as 1 more inventory spot for a "key" you will need to grab.
6. Once you put the Orb onto the guy in the Black Knights Fortress, you will go back to the White Knights Fortress in Falador. After some dialogue, you will be warned of being teleported to the Wilderness. He does say this in the video, but he says it literally right before you are being teleported. If you are holding spacebar and not paying attention, you might not realize it until it's too late. You are not teleported directly to the wilderness after the dialogue, but it will be annoying as shit to go back to the bank/Falador if you do not prepare your inventory for a wilderness trip ahead of time. However, you are only in the wilderness for maybe 30 seconds total. I really don't think you have anything to worry about, but, at the end of the day, you are going into the wilderness "technically."
7. After you get back to Falador from the cutscene with Lucien in the wilderness, bring a spiked helmet or slayer helmet, as you will be going into the Lumbridge Swamp Cave. The Wall Beasts pop out of the wall and deal damage. I have been one hit by these at lower levels.
8. You will also need as much free inventory spots as possible. Literally 0 food is needed throughout this entire next part. You MIGHT need the Prayer Potion to refill your druid pouch, so bring it, but the combat potion and the Games Necklace you do not need. You also do not need the Elite set at this time.
9. DO NOT use the Druid Pouch on the Druid until you watch further into the video. You want to make sure you are able to pick up all the ingredients that drop and that none of them despawn. However, you can get more druid pouch charges by using the Sickle on the vines around the area. He will explain that further in the video as well, so don't think you have to leave to go get more, or go get more ingredients from the GE.
10. The end boss is not that hard if you are max combat. If you did not bring food/gear/etc because of needing inventory spaces as stated above, head back to the bank one last time. It might be annoying, but it will be the last time you go there and back. Nonetheless, I was able to do it with a couple pieces of food and just magic. Also, I did not bring two different combat styles for the Tormented Demons. The Demons were harder than the actual "boss." I had to use a few food while fighting them, but they eventually change their prayers to a different combat style and you can kill them easy. I just used Magic the entire time and the one that was protecting from Magic eventually changed to Protect from Melee and he died immediately.

i end with summoning pack yak and in few minutes i was force to destroy him since broav need to be spawn.. So bad inventory management, but otherwise it is nice guild. Also you can use faster tp. like fairy rings and slayer cape
Great guide, man! Only feedback I have is to give us a better understanding of items that are needed in certain situations and more importantly, items that are not. You got me pumped up for the boss, brought packyak full of food and good combat gear, ended up struggling putting on prayer, and before figuring it out he was already dead
Just a fyi for ironman players you can get the black elite armour at 41:06 its easy and quick so u dont have to google and ask around!

If you're doing this as of October 2017 (idk bout previous months because I'm just now doing the quest) when you're in the pub in taverley talking to Idra, the conversation goes straight to "do you know where lucien is". You don't have to swear to her you're not working with lucien.

This boss fight took 30 seconds, full arma with zaryte bow, blood fury and pray whatever. He never switched combat styles, neither did I. Needed 0 food lol. Thanks for the guide!

For anyone who has had similar troubles with the scale in beginning of quest, you need to add certain weights of KG to balance the scale out and open the door. Hightower is not specific on what door to open. After you add the weights, you want to open the door that is to the east of the scale. This is just a comment to help anyone who is having the same trouble that I did. I kept running back downstairs to open that door.

not sure if it's mentioned in comments yet.. while inside the tunnels gathering herblore ingredients for the statues..you can use ' Bloom ' on the Silver Sickle (B) to get vine flowers, use 3x Vine flowers on druid pouch to make more.
Great guide, though a lot has changed in the game over the years, and it needs a few minor updates. I'm sure though that Fraqsu will make the updated guide soon. Oh also, please do not fast forward if possible, it helps to understand how long the quest will take when you do it in real time.
I wish Fraqsu already uploaded one, lol. Having to continue dropping shit while running around with needless items was starting to get annoying.

Those glowing wires needs a visual rework.
If you're doing this in 2022, don't take everything with you, it's easier to watch the guide a bit and see what you need otherwise you will have too much stuff (Especially in the part with the weights), and also if you have 99 slayer you can easily teleport to all the slayer masters for the recruitment stage instead of running to them all. Makes it a million times faster
way better than imsikovit's on this occassion.. ty ;)

The teleportation to port sarim is random for everyone. When hightower says "go directly west to the rune shop" he is referring to the rune shop that is located in the north west corner of port sarim.

i play osrs but still loved this guide, watched the whole quest even know ill never do it most likely. being that osrs exists it makes me really appreaite RS3 alot. im a huge fan of more content and items, so when im bored of osrs i might start a career on rs3 havnt been on there since 2011. im hoping its alot easier than osrs as far as the grind, it took my 45 days on osrs to get 1400 total level and 100 combat and make a good 50+ million

maybe there was update you have to search the tile first before you can cast the orb. and why didn't you mention that you can use games necklace to teleport to tears of guthix? and also bringing super energy to run around the temple to get the Dolmen would be helpful. but it was good guide after all... Next I'm going to start Ritual of the Mahjarrat I hope it'll be a better guide :))

For anyone watching this you could always not even need to look foe everyone hazlemire is fairy ring CLS and you can use npc contact spell wich you will have at this point (67 magic) for most of the people u need to contact

How do I get back to the cut scene place??
The wardrobes are random but if you want to save time with the desks, you can SEE what items are on the desks, therefore not wasting time searching desks that don't have anything.
Yo when I try to use the orb spell on the tile it says “you see no reason to waste runes casting magic at the ground”. Ideas? My inventory is exactly the same as yours.
I am guessing you did a previous part of the quest guide wrong... Did you get it sorted?
Hightower5000 yes I did. I believe the issue was I didn’t talk to someone fully through and missed a dialogue. Just went and talked to everyone over again and it let me do it.
@@mtgezbeginner3014 You just need to inspect the trapdoor before you cast the spell on it. Once you inspect it, it will say something like "looks like an orb goes here" then you can cast the spell on it. Nothing more lol

I didnt notice that for Energy statue it can be (Harrlander + choc Dust) OR (avantoe + fungus) so i probably spent a good hour wondering why tf druids werent giving ingredients anymore and trying to put harrlander into the statue lmao T . T
I have one last dolmen to put on the stone table, however I try to use the dolmen on the stone table it tells me, you've already placed that domen. This seems glitchy. I have read that people have accidentally destroyed it and are unable to make it again. How could I have accidentally made a duplicate and missed a statue? Also I can't seem to check which is supposedly missing when I examine the stone table.
Im stuck on this part too. I have already set 6 of the 8 statues and for whatever reason i can’t get the rest due to not having the ingredients. Druids no longer give me drops when I bloom them and the ingredients I brought in to use as potions are useless even though it’s the correct ingredients
you said that you needed 270 quest points, but I did it with 187 quest points so something may have changed between 2016 and today.

correct potion combinations as of 2022 for end puzzle
Agility: Clean toadflax and toad's legs
Attack: Clean guam and eye of newt OR clean irit and eye of newt
Balance: Clean harralander, red spiders' eggs, garlic, and silver dust
Combat: Clean harralander and goat horn dust
Defence: Clean cadantine and white berries
Energy: Clean avantoe and mort myre fungus
Fishing: Clean avantoe and snape grass
Hunter: Clean avantoe and kebbit teeth dust
Magic: Clean lantadyme and potato cactus
Prayer: Clean ranarr and snape grass
Ranging: Clean dwarf weed and wine of Zamorak
Restoration: Clean snapdragon and red spiders' eggs
Strength: Clean kwuarm and limpwurt root

So this one issue I had was I got all statues done accept 1, I had energy as one and I use the pouch to hit all the druid spirits and i wasnt able to get the ingredients i needed for it so i had to go to GE to get the items which were chocolate dust and a herb
Elite black full helm is so rare. I try to buy it 50m @ ge and not sell. Lets see if I get it some day.
I can't teleport once i get on the tile with the strange teleorb. It keeps coming up saying "The orb has gone a milky colour, as if trying to achieve some grander state, but seems to have insufficient magical power" can anyone help me ??

If you use the Suspect Sketch on Idra and "nothing interesting happens" shows up in your chat box, just talk to her and quest will continue.
his list for herbs etc at the end is not up to date check out the wiki to not have a headache.
Just use slayer cape to teleport to the slayer masters
