That for changing the battery? removing the battery cap?
WOW....thank you...answered! I just read what you wrote and went and tried it and that's exactly what its for.....thanks for that!!!! That didn't even cross my mind - Cheers Jim
4:44 I saw a video stating that this is used for measuring the inside of a concave items. Just slip it on the anvil and it makes it able to reach non flat surfaces
Appreciated
You did measurement incorrectly. You have turn big handle - this handle has ratchet mechanism inside - it produce right amount of tension. I don't heard any clicks and you tightened gauge block using small handle. If I don't mistaken, this handle bypass ratchet mechanism.
You are absolutely right, noticed the same while watching, odd thing is that the ratchet is on the large turning knob, normally the ratchet is on the small turning knob.
@@pa5ca i work as metrology technician, the ratchet mechaism can be at the both sides, it depend with the brand
The ball bearing adapter is for measuring pipe wall thickness the ball goes inside the pipe. Re-zero it first to compensate for the ball diameter.
5:03 it’s a tool to open the battery door. Put the flat side in the slot and twist.
Thank you :)
Might be a test standard and for changing the battery
Thanks Nick
I have the same one.. i found out that it deplete the battery even when not being used..also after not such a long usage the free wheel mechanism (ratchet) stopped working well.. didn't managed to fix it yet.
Mines still going ok presently. I suppose from China and being pretty cheap I should be happy so far.
Parasitic draw on the battery is common in the cheap ones. I store mine with the batteries out. No problems
This stand is a great idea !
Just seen your video on the Micrometer and I notice something wrong in your measurements.
First, I have one of these cheap micrometers my self, bought it on Ali express.
What I found strange on these cheap micrometers is the following, normally the ratchet is on the thin turning knob, but these cheap meters the ratchet is on the large turning knob, and that is odd to me.
While measuring your 25mm caliber you are making a capital mistake, you are not using the ratchet and there for you were able to over stress the measuring subject, it is viable in your video. Due that you know the caliber measurement is 25mm have adjusted the micrometer to that value.
The same mistake is made while measure the 0,0 you expect 0,0 so you turn it to that value instead using the ratchet.
My two cents of comment.
Really appreciate the post with that information! Cheers Jim
Thanks. Just to clarify analogue are electronic systems with a continuously variable signals. Analogue is electronic.
G'day...I don't 100% follow "Thanks. Just to clarify analogue are electronic systems with a continuously variable signals. Analogue is electronic" ? - Cheers Jim
@@SteamEngines-Jim Analogue is a type of electronics not a manual system. There are different types of electronics.
@@Machster10 Cheers for the clarification, appreciated.
The tool is to remove the battery cover .
Thank you
