Trivia, the SAS Jeep model driver would be based on the famous photo of Lt. Edward McDonald D.C.M. formerly of the Cameron Highlanders and then L Detachment SAS and not Paddy Mayne as is erroneously described by many Historians. MG Gunner at the rear based on Cpl Bill Kennedy. This very famous SAS Desert Campaign photo was taken on 18th January 1943 by Major Geoffrey Keating of No.1 Army photography unit and taken somewhere in the Desert of North Africa.
Very nice , Can't wait to see the 1/16 Sdkfz-234 puma
Just had a look at the Sol Models site.....it’s a quick way to empty the bank account, I’ll say that for it! 🤪 The level of detail is magnificent though....
Andy, great stuff thank you, 1/16 scale (with your help as well) is really taking off!
1/16 is taken off long time ago thanks to Tamyia and Henglong
Thank you.
Great video!
Have you really built a model of a German subject if you have not included a German officer pointing?
These are very cool, Andy! 👍🏻
No figure of the most important crew member, the driver
AFV have a driver
Any soviet power in 1/16 on the way?
needs more 1/16th scale braadwurst!
When do the "Rat Patrol" figures come out?
Hi can you put a link to where I can get these kits please and thank you
Now if they made this in 1/35 I’d be broke😂
I believe they do, they usually sell their figures in both scales on the website...
Id like to see a driver...
love the look of the figures really cool but sol models are so of the scale with pricing money would be better spent on sweets/candy
Are they going to do Wehrmacht officers, men and Jerry cans or only SS ??
Andy I would like 1/16 scale Is Tuskegee airman figures for my jeep can you help with figures?
These look amazing - but - the prices make buying any extremely unlikely for me. $50-60 US each figure is simply unrealistic. Money better spent on the next 1/16 vehicle for me..... hoping the Folks from Sol read this!!!!
For me it’s can I do the cost price of the figure justice. Almost certainly not in my case.
Do they make a driver?
AFV have a driver.
I always prefer non-combat figures. It's hard to pull off a convincing diorama with figures in combat poses. With that being said, the 1/16th market is growing.
It's all very nice, but why SS ?
Good point
Because MOST modellers and other people that collect WWII militaria have more of an interest in the German SS than the WH. And SS stuff out sells WH stuff too. Manufactures know this and produce products to reflect this. If you don't like SS stuff, don't buy'em, it's that simple.

Day 4 of politely asking for a 1/26 T32E1 scale model
Andy, my modeling brother, don't forget about your 1/35th scale brothers. We are still out here. I have no interest in 1/16th scale models but, it seems that is all you talk about anymore. By the way, I just turned 60 years old, 1/16th scale is just too big for my taste.
Professional soldiers don't yell uncontrollably while firing an MG
The communist Chinese guy, who designed the figure, thinks they will sell better that way though. 😜
COVERING FIRE! (in german) ;D
@@randomnickify if he's an SS officer, it would be more like "shoot those P.O.W.s!!" 😬
@@joeshmoe9978SOL is korean company😂
@@SuperJungjaehun D'OH!! 😁✌️
With the current price of models, the hobby is becoming that of doctors, lawyers, and CEOs. 😔
Cheap models still exist, they never went away, just bigger, more detailed and more expensive models were added. Hobby is thriving and that is a good thing.
@@randomnickify true, it's just sad that a lot of them are price like a car payment. ✌️
