Trivia, the SAS Jeep model driver would be based on the famous photo of Lt. Edward McDonald D.C.M. formerly of the Cameron Highlanders and then L Detachment SAS and not Paddy Mayne as is erroneously described by many Historians. MG Gunner at the rear based on Cpl Bill Kennedy. This very famous SAS Desert Campaign photo was taken on 18th January 1943 by Major Geoffrey Keating of No.1 Army photography unit and taken somewhere in the Desert of North Africa.

Just had a look at the Sol Models site.....it’s a quick way to empty the bank account, I’ll say that for it! 🤪 The level of detail is magnificent though....

Have you really built a model of a German subject if you have not included a German officer pointing?

love the look of the figures really cool but sol models are so of the scale with pricing money would be better spent on sweets/candy

These look amazing - but - the prices make buying any extremely unlikely for me. $50-60 US each figure is simply unrealistic. Money better spent on the next 1/16 vehicle for me..... hoping the Folks from Sol read this!!!!

I always prefer non-combat figures. It's hard to pull off a convincing diorama with figures in combat poses. With that being said, the 1/16th market is growing.

Because MOST modellers and other people that collect WWII militaria have more of an interest in the German SS than the WH. And SS stuff out sells WH stuff too. Manufactures know this and produce products to reflect this. If you don't like SS stuff, don't buy'em, it's that simple.

Andy, my modeling brother, don't forget about your 1/35th scale brothers. We are still out here. I have no interest in 1/16th scale models but, it seems that is all you talk about anymore. By the way, I just turned 60 years old, 1/16th scale is just too big for my taste.
