- We took the opportunity to take our narrowboat out for an Easter cruise up the Trent and Mersey Canal. We experienced a range of weather! However, it was a thoroughly relaxing trip with a few pub visits and hearty breakfasts!

You picked a good day for it matt.
It's a great stretch apart from the road noise. We would have gone further if we had a bit more time.
Lovely cruise 😊 The other Emerald moors at our marina, almost got signwritten when the sign writter saw that Emerald when he arrived to do ours. Luckily we found him before he started 😆
That was lucky! We cruised past another Noggin The Nog outside Shobnall marina. It was great to get out for a few days. We were a bit rusty!
@Narrowboat Noggin The Nog it's lovely to get out again.. with spring in the air... sometimes 😆 seeing boats with the same name is strange. We left our marina the same time as the other Emerald but turned left down to Swarkestone. Love it down there. Shame the locks are so big. It is very peaceful, though! No A38. Although going up through Burton is interesting. Lots to look at
