Air fuel mix screw for pilot ? .... on the top on engine side. Next to those black covers. They're might be pluged to not mess with them aka invisible. BUT theyr tip might be poping out from inside ... little pin or just a sungle tinny hole inside engine side manifold. ( not cobfuse with those 3 little holes by the smaller butterfly)
I'm working on a 1981 KZ250 single. You mentioned where you couldn't get carb parts, but you didn't mention where you actually procured your new gaskets and jets. I suspect the 440 and 250 used the same carb because mine looks like a single version of your twins.
Carb kits were Keyster I believe purchased from Part N More but they did not include the pilot jet I had to drill. Those I got from the Kawasaki dealer. Oddly enough they are still available.
just bought a 1982 kz305b im rebuilding your videos help out a lot i appreciate it

Ah Nicer weather is coming!! Onward and upward with the bike projects!!
