To be honest, it's most likely the shippers that are trying to feed their delusions that are making accusations. He could've used Felix as a reference for the painting or it could be just a coincidence. I've done it a couple times as well when I draw, I just randomly draw a picture of a person or a portrait and it somehow ended up looking like a real person I know or a celebrity without even meaning to.
it's not like you can paint a face you've never seen before, your brain supplies faces it remembers so even if it wasn't meant to be him, it could have come out that way, happens to me all the time that my own characters look like some idols and I only realize after finishing
