    Hi! Thank you so much for this informative video! The other day I recorded a couple of classes and had issues with the swishy noise of my clothing... How would you recommend putting the lavelier go so it doesn't pick up on swishy noise? I struggled with this one:(

      That would be one way that you could avoid the swooshing sound. You just have to be careful to not have your clothes touching it directly. That's why I wear tighter fitting clothing.

    I appreciate how you explain things so a non-techy person like myself can understand what to do! I feel more confident in getting a Rode Go II now. Thanks!

      Thank you. I do feel like a techny non-techy person. Once someone starts talking about the mechanics of it all, I'm like, "whoa whoa, just tell me how to use it, not WHY it works." I just try to answer questions in a way that I would have liked to see prior to figuring it out.

    Namaste. Thank you for your valuable, efficient, and clear presentation of these matters. I first came across you in 2020 researching lighting when I went on Zoom and years later, here you are again presenting exactly the information I am looking for. I appreciate that you do not waste any of my time in your videos. This is a real talent, and so precious (also not easy to do, even though you make it look effortless). Keep going. Sending much support and appreciation.

      No time wasted! I get annoyed with long intro videos that are 16-20 minutes and not even having the advice I’m looking for. So, with my tech help videos, I try to be as efficient as possible. I’ll make multiple videos rather than a long winded one. And speak in language everyone can understand. It’s been fun just answering questions. A Lavelier demo will publish on Friday. And thank you for the compliments!

    Greetings Beloved! Give thanks for that. I've been teaching for a while now.. I bought the same Rode mic when you suggested years ago, love it. I'd like some coaching sessions or maybe 1 with someone like yourself. Looking to improve some in my online, marketing, etc approach. Do you offer something like this? At the minimum a 1hr vid call? Paid for your time. Bliss

    Hi Ashley, I have a problem with my breathing coming through really loud on my videos using a rode mic on a tank top. The volume setting on the mics is on the lowest too. Do you have any suggestions for this? I don't think I am breathing overly loud but it just seems super visible compared to other peoples yoga videos. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

    Very helpful - thanks Ashley! I am getting back to making some fitness videos, as well as teaching on Zoom, and ideas such as how to wear the microphone are great. Is there any reason to purchase the Rode Wireless Go II, if I already have the first microphone set?

    Thank you for great review and sharing experiences. Rode Wireless Go seems ok for sports bra but what about male yoga teachers? I'm just wearing tank top (not very tight and not very loose) and have some doubts for using Rode Wireless Go. Could you have any recommendations?

    • @AshleyHagen

      I've seen people clip it to a headband or hat. Or there is a lavelier attachment that you can use and clip onto a shirt or tank top. I'm sure there are other male instructors who could offer more insight on this topic. I was sharing how I specifically wear it, not necessarily a recommendation for everyone. For those who go shirtless, I'm actually not sure. Maybe more of a standing mic would be better, or earbuds, although it probably wouldn't pick up the sound as well. Good luck!

    Thanks for this video Ashley! I’ve been thinking about getting this mic. Do you think the sound quality would be okay for outdoor yoga if there is background noise?

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  2 года назад +2

      I have a few examples of this, but my main answer is YES! I used it while at a busy intersection once and it was totally fine. A super loud motorcycle rolled by and I thought for sure that would be super annoying. Listened to replay and you could hardly hear it. There are also settings in zoom on a computer you can set to eliminate even more background noise.

      @@AshleyHagen Thank you for responding. I watched more of your videos and I think I’m ready to purchase the Rode mic. Thank you so much for all your helpful info!

    Hello! If I am recording with a camera, do I plug the Rode into the camera?

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  Год назад

      Yes, using the black/black red coil cable that it came with originally. That is, if the camera allows for external microphones. Some don't.

    So I have Deity mic and it came with a lapel mic, have you ever used this? Also, I love this top! Where'd you get this?

      Oh nvm! I just got to the part where you're talking about it. :)

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  2 года назад +1

      Yes. Of course you can use the lapel mic with it. Have you tried yet? I have the Deity, too, but don’t use it as much. It’s a great microphone, though. I just filmed a video talking about the Røde Lavaliere Go - to test the volume levels. Find what works for you. (The top is Lululemon)

      @@AshleyHagen Yea, I used the lapel mic and the audio came out super soft and then sure enough when I spoke in to the mic in like a child's pose it got loud and my shirt fabric hit it. haha. And awesome, I love the way the shirt fits, do you know what style it is because I'm looking at the align and it seems like that may be lower cut than what you have?!

    • @AshleyHagen
      @AshleyHagen  2 года назад

      @@yourmindfulbreath I don't recall (i dont keep tags) but my top is new within the year. Looking at the site, it's more like the "Cool Racerback Short Tank Top." In fact, I think it is that one. I think the align top would work, too. I also have some higher collared tanks, and they also are fine.
