    To be honest, I usually go for either brass or copper rivets. It might be just me, but I prefer manualy mushroom the rivet with a hammer to ensure a flat finish, as flush as possible. This gives me the certainty the two holes are actually sealed and water/soup-tight.
    Also, such fix is really pleasing to look at, and can be also easliy nickelplated for a gloss finish.

    Engineering is not complete without testing.
    The vigorous shaking and robust testing methods by the misses conforms to standard application.

    very shabby job should have used a solid rivet with s smooth head inside cleaning

      Wish I had those ... plus I hate the dietary aluminum ... Will re-do when I come across the proper rivets

      pop rivets are wrong choice, unless you want food poisoning from the bacteria the will get trapped. They needed to be solid s/s rivets
