Mr Kent, ordered and received your Balance Charger Cable for the Bebop 2 battery. EXCELLENT craftsmanship. I can now BALANCE charge my batteries with confidence knowing the battery life will be extended. Thanks for using your knowledge, skill and time to make this charger available. I can enjoy flying my Bebop 2 even more. Thanks again Sir........ Your videos are excellent and very informative...
I'm glad you are satisfied with the cable. Thank you for your order and all those kind words - and taking time to comment. Enjoy that little guy and fly safe. God bless.
Hi mrken, do you still make these as I would really like to buy 2 ?
I tried your website but I could not see them
I made the balance lead and charged a battery that I was going to dispose of. The battery charged fully and flew 10 minutes and still had 85% left! Thank you so much for showing us how it's done.
Ron
You are very welcome. Thank you for your input also and God bless.
Got the balance charge cable. Top notch beautiful work, it works flawlessly, and the packaging is professionally done. Well worth the 25.00, thanks again Mr. Kent!
Thank you for your kind words as well as your order and God bless.
I just built one of these thanks to you. Man do I suck at soldering but I managed to get her done...lol. Thanks for the great video and all your other Bebop 2 vids. All the best and take care.
Thank you for your kind words. With soldering - practice makes (lots of mistakes and then) perfect. God bless.
Thank you, Mr. Kent. I'd love to see video of you doing the actual soldering so I could learn how to do that.
Thanks but nobody would believe that I can solder after watching how much my old hands shake. There are plenty of other RUclips vids on how to solder. That would most likely do a better job of teaching. God bless.
Thanks for the video. I still operate one of these which is plenty enough to go around and survey around the farm. Between the video and the diagram I was able to get it built up and working first shot. My main issue was being able to get a proper storage charge left on my batteries but also this lets me see what's going on with each cell and of course balance them.
Thank you for your comment Necro and kind words. God bless.
Respect your dedication to continuous improvement. Good job.
Thank you.
I ordered the cable for balance charging you make, from you. Looking forward to getting it. Thanks Mr. Kent.
I just finished my charge cable today. Works great. Thanks for the diagram.
Thank you. I am glad it is working. I will be looking for some videos from you. God bless.
The DigiKey part no. referenced indicates a 20MM length plug (last 2 digits). They also have 25mm and 30mm plugs that will work.
Thank you for your input.
Thanks Mr Kent. I built a balance charge lead, for my BeBop 2, following a mixture of your advice, in this video, and that found on TheAnqueetas channel, and the result, whilst not as pretty as the one from TheAnqueetas channel, and even with my poor soldering skills, worked, first time. Keep producing your videos, I find them both interesting and informative. Thanks, again, Ian
Thank you for your comments. Yep, it's more fun doing things like this. God bless.
old video but i decided to buy one of your plugs on your website, Thank You for supplying the plugs for us
Thank you Max I will be looking forward to your order. And if you have any questions please don't hesitate to ask. God bless.
To whoever is interested :) I never had the Bebop 2, I have the Bebop 2 POWER. Only difference is You should get 3 - 5 min more fly time with the POWER. But whichever you buy I would definitely invest in a DP2 balanced charger (EV-Peak) get it at Amazon its a little pricey around $100. But it will balance charge all 3 cells on each battery + you get STORAGE mode, while the (High Def) charge brick you get from Parrot doesn't. The DP2 will work with Bebop 2(2700mah) battery's and The Bebop 2 POWER(3350mah) battery's. I'm pretty sure the DP2 Balance charger will pay for itself easily by next year at this time. I think Balance charging & Storage of the battery's is the most important thing. "Well" other than a medium to major crash. Ha Ha. FYI - I got the Bebop 2 POWER Extreme Adventurer package from Parrots website for $538.50. Ordered Dec 22nd - Received Dec 28th. They had a nice price at that time! - - - - - 1 Parrot Bebop 2 Power , 1 Parrot Skycontroller 2 , 1 Parrot Cockpitglasses 2 , 1 BackPack - WORTH $99 BY ITSELF - YOU WILL NEED IT! , 3 Power batteries , 8 propellers , 1 charger + cable + 4 plugs - LIKE I SAID GET THE DP2 BALANCE CHARGER ( Love it!!!) - WILL STILL NEED THIS BRICK TO CHARGE YOUR SKYCONTROLLER 2 , 1 assembly tool , 1 USB cable , 1 smartphone and tablet support , 1 quick start guide
Thank you for your input. I crashed mine today, am producing the video at this moment. God bless.
No - Thank you mrkent , For all the Info you have passed on to me the past couple of months, through your videos , I have learned so much from YOU and Helderhugo. I know I'll be watching out for your new video. "Keep it up" and Thanks again
Thank you for your kind words and God bless.
Hello You recommend the evpeack Charger? Is the same that having like a b6 Charger with custom cable?
@@gonzarb93 - Yes , just go to AMAZON, search for --- ( EV-PEAK DP2 35W/CH 3.5A/CH 3 Ports Intelligent Battery Charger for Parrot Bebop 2 Drone Battery ) The EV-Peak DP2 will charge 3 battery's at one time & will balance charge all 3 cells in each battery while it is charging, Another great thing about this charger, If you are not going to fly for awhile, You can put the battery'(s) in (storage mode) which will balance charge up to or drain down to 50%. The DP2 comes with a real nice heavy duty 3 prong power cord around 4 foot long. I see it is $90 now - I paid $105 for it in Jan/2018 and it still works great.
Thank you mrKent I've done it like you said works great.
Good for you Gerrit! Not many folks go to the effort. God bless.
Thanks MrKent, have just received my bebop 2 fpv, but u fortunately the only battery that came with it was Dead on arrival, they are replacing it with a new one. I will make one of these connectors for a balance charger, heard nothing but negative things about the stock charger. Just have to find a place that sells the connector in Australia. Thanks again, keep up the vids.
Amazon.com has this plug available for under $14. Just plug in the part id: FX30B-4P. I have purchased one from Amazon so I know you can get them there. I am assuming you can get to Amazon from there :) Thanks for your kind words and God bless.
Now this is awesome. No need for improvising or printing a 3D plug. In Europe it looks to be even cheaper. Thank you Mr. Kent
Yep! I was so pleased to find that plug available. I thought it must have been a proprietary item with Parrot. Thank you for your comment.
mr kent on the links you show you have a DSA30 and a DSA20 so can I use both the 20 or the 30 ?
David picker wondering the same
I could really use your help I lost my bebop 2 battery charger hoping you can show me how to make one
Hi Rick, thank you for your comment and question. Please go to my RUclips home page, do a search for "charger" and you can view the videos I have on the balanced charger. That's about all I can do to help. God bless you.
Thanks to TheAnqueetas and yourself. Do you know what? I got pair male/female connectors so I can charge my bebop batteries with regular charger..... and fly my bebop 2 with regular LiPo' s
That blesses my heart. Thank you for the comment and have fun.
gracias por el video ya tengo los cables como usted me costo un poco pero me salieron muy bien..gracias y feliz navidad
I know English only. Very sorry. God bless.
Hi mate great video ..now is it rule of thumb you must connect balance leads under power and ground connection or is it ok as one connection cheers
I am sorry, I don't quite understand your question. Need more detail. If you are asking if the electrical power needs to be on while connecting the leads the answer to that would be no. I guess I need a more detailed question. And, thank you for your comment. Never hesitate to ask when in doubt. God bless.
Thx a lot, Mr. Kent. It works great. Hope to see more useful vids like this. Thumb up !
I'm glad for you. Thanks for your comment and God bless.
sorry, I don't think you are following. there are 3 ends. The Digikey end, the white end (Allytech 10pcs 3S 26#11.1V) the red end. Where to find the red one? thanks
OK, I get it. The red 3S 26 wire (which is the black wire on the diagram) goes to pin #2 at the Digikey plug. The white 3S 26 wire (which is the green wire on the diagram) goes to pin #1 at the Digikey plug. I think I need to redo the diagram huh? I hope that helps . . . Please let me know.
By the way, I have updated the diagram to match the color code of the wires that everyone seems to be using. Go to www.mrkent.com/bebop/
Refresh the page and view or download the latest wiring diagram. Thank you for your patience and God bless.
I know this is a few months old, but, the red plug in MrKent's video appears to be a Dean's RC connector, which is available at most RC hobby shops. If you already have your balance charger, you should use what ever is used on your charger, for the main positive and negative charge leads.
I have a bebop2 and never crashed it or got it wet and it will not power on and my batteries test fine with a multimeter...the red LED in the back will not turn on.
Can you help???
I wish I had an answer for you. I have heard of that happening to others. I don't think I can help. God bless.
@@user-sr8pn9xg8z thanks anyways.
I am talking about the red plug? I don't see a link to that one.
The colored wires on the drawing do not necessarily match the wires coming from your balancing plug. Looking at the drawing the "heavy" red wire goes to the pin on the far right. The "heavy" black wire goes to the pin just to its left. (Red=#4) (Black=#3) The "thin" wires connect as follows: #1 wire from the balancing plug connects to pin #3 of main plug.#2 thin wire from the balancing plug connects to pin #1 of the main plug. #3 wire from the balancing plug connects to pin # 2 of the main plug. #4 wire from the balancing plug connects to pin # 4 of the main plug.

Go to this link and click on the wiring diagram link if you haven't don so yet. I hope this is helpful. Don't hesitate to ask if you have any questions. God bless.
Gracias 👍🏻
You are welcome Miky. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
Is the stock Bebop charger not a balance charger?
Thanks for your question. No, I am sorry, it is not a balanced charger. Otherwise I and so many others would not get the flashing red light when the cells become unbalanced. I have put up lots of different options that you can use to construct a connector between your battery and a balanced charger. The best is found at: ruclips.net/video/b1X77aK7ki0/видео.html
If you have any other questions please don't hesitate to ask. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
I find your channel and web site fascinating. You certainly have compressed many years of knowledge into a one stop shop. Great work.
Again a usefull video mr. Kent. Everything works perfect. Only problem was that rs-online.com only sells to companies, but i found the fx30b plug also on ebay ;-)
Thank you Danny. Since making that video I have discovered the plug can be purchased on Amazon, but it is expensive. I am purchasing mine from Mosier Electronics now. Appreciate your helpful input. God bless.
i got mine from your website, looks great, my IMAX B6 wont balance charge my bebop 2 stock battery, it will only charge the battery! maybe i need a new IMAX B6
Have you got one of those little $10 battery checkers? You can see for sure if it is balanced or not. My balance charger does such a good job that after charging and I switch to balance it only goes for a minute or two and says it is finished. Let me know if you can. Thanks and God bless.
it takes 20 mins to charge my battery, tells me that i need a new battery, any ideas? mines a little cheaper, all the cells are balanced, i got one of these www.ebay.com/itm/2pcs-RC-Lipo-Battery-Low-Voltage-Tester-1S-8S-Buzzer-Alarm-indicator-Checker-USA/332618307296?epid=25013427279&hash=item4d719896e0:g:vFkAAOSwDGhazwAk
I have never used one so I am not sure how they work. I have one of these and I can check the condition of each cell, one cell at a time:
www.amazon.com/Tenergy-Battery-Intelligent-Digital-Balancer/dp/B0178P8H9U/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1536015614&sr=8-1&keywords=5+in+1+cell+meter
I can't make a judgment of what you are using but the above is "ideal." I hope your battery is not bad. God bless.
Hello Mr Kent. Love your videos.
They are very informative.
Bebop 2 owner for 1 year now.
I have 3 batteries and I think I'm ruining them with stock charger.
Is there any way you can sell me a couple of the finished balance charger adapter. I have no electrical experience. I'm afraid I might not do it right an cause a fire. Lipo battery are dangerous..
I am very sorry Pedro but I don't have the time to do that at this point in my life. There is a guy on the bebop face book pages and on facebook named Christoper Richard Smith and he is the only one I know of who will do that for a price. You may want to get in touch with him. Thank you for your kind words and I hop you can find someone that can help you. God bless.
mrkentdotcom hi sir do you know what country Christopher Richard Smith is in as I am in the UK and want to get a balancing charging cable for my bebop 2 god bless
Hey Mr Kent, what's the part number or name of that plug from digikey?
Thanks for your question. Digikey stopped selling them but Mosier electronics has them: FX30B-4P-3.81DSA30
More info can be found in the descriptions below the video.
God bless.
hi sir i use the diagram ur 1st video sir what is the difference between to your new diagram
In earlier videos I did not connect directly to the battery, but came up with home-made wiring connections that went from the Bebop battery cable to the balanced charger. In this video the Bebop battery charging cable is not used at all after finding a place to purchase the plug to fit straight into the battery. I hope that helps. If you still have questions, don't hesitate to ask. Thanks and God bless.
how about the the changing results sir what is must better
This video is the most easy way to accomplish the task. The other videos I have up are also OK to use. When I made them I had not discovered that we can all get that plug to fit the Bebop battery.
I can't find the plug on Digi Key. Could you provide a link or the part number? Thanks.
Hi Ron
The link to Digikey is ok. Just need to scroll down. But the part number is:
FX30B-4P-3.81DSA20
Let me know if you need any more help. I'm glad to help.
I built the balance wire per the print downloaded from your site. It was connected to a new SKYRC IMAX B6AC V2. Following all instruction, all I could get was 'NO BATTERY'. Any ideas?
In my experience that message appears when one or both of the heavier "plus" and "minus" wires are not plugged into the charger. There should be a total of six (6) wires connected to the charger; The three small wires, one from each cell, One small "common" wire, common to each cell, and the two heavier "charging" wires.
I hop that is helpful. If you have further questions do not hesitate to ask. A good video demo is:
ruclips.net/video/unTMIHOJQg0/видео.html
Thanks for your comment and God bless.
The wire was built correctly, I believe. Yes, 6 wres to charger. Tested with multimeter, all test seemed ok.
The one thing that was confusing to me at first was that the #1 (yellow) wire coming from the balancing plug must cross over and connect to #3 pin on the Bebop plug. You may want to check that carefully. Also, another good video to display correct wiring is the one where I discovered we could actually purchase a plug to match the Bebop 2 battery:
ruclips.net/video/orESacSy2ro/видео.html
You may want to watch that also. I hope this helps.
Hi Mr. Kent, great video!! I have had my bebop 2 for about 6 months. Never balanced my battery just used the factory charger and I can feel the pain now lol. I'm going to get one of those Balance Chargers. But dumb as Mudd when it comes to creating and making the connection. I'd be happy to pay for it if I could talk you into selling and shipping me one. Thanks in advance.
Hi Michael - thanks for your kind words and comments. I am very sorry but I will not be able to help you with the physical construction. I would suggest googling for your local amateur radio club. As an old ham myself I know someone in that group would most likely be glad to help you. Don't hesitate to stay in touch with me to ask any questions etc. If I didn't have anything else to occupy my time I could probably put those connections together for all the folks that have requested my help. But I don't have the time right now. Thank you again for your kind words and God bless you.
mrkentdotcom thanks for the reply.. I was able to ship my OEM cable to a guy that edits them for 25 bucks.
Alright! I'm glad you found someone. You may want to provide all the others with his info so we could direct them to him. He could make $$ that way. Thanks and God bless.
mrkentdotcom he is a really good guy. He is an admin on a Facebook group called "Bebop 1 and 2 Discussions Group". Looks like he has been doing a lot of the OEM cable edits for the group. Great info, check it out if you get time. He goes by Christopher Richard Smith.
Yep, I know of him. He is a genius too! Good for you and God bless.
mrkentdotcom In description you have 2 diffrent part numbers listed dsa20 and dsa30. dsa30 is linked to the mouser site dsa20 and dsa30 for digikey. Which one is the correct number? Thanks
I am not sure I understand your question. It depends which company you wish to order from. I am not sure if Digi-Key is still offering the plugs. I hope that helps. God bless.
mrkentdotcom look at your write up below the video. You have 2 diffrent part numbers. Fx30b4-dsa20 and Fx30b4-dsa30. Was wondering which one is the one to use. Looks like one is taller than the other.
thank you super useful
You are welcome. Thank you for your comment and God bless.
Mrkent.i tried to email you privately but dont know how.have you heard of SUGRU?IIts a target product and or sold there.look it up and watch a video on it.I just used the studf yesterday and your playdoe video i thought of and this stuff is IDEAL for your balanced charger.LEt me k ow what you think.Happy flying.THanks again for all your videos
Thank you Chaz. That is pretty cool stuff. I can think of some good uses for it but I wouldn't recommend using it to hold the pins in place for my Bebop battery. Being flexible could allow two of the pins to make connection which would almost immediately ruin a cell in the battery. But I really do appreciate your input and helpful suggestion. Thank you again and God bless.
You still have cable?
Hi Jonathan. Yes I still have plenty of cables. Just go to www.mrkent.com/cables/index.htm. You can use your credit cord or your personal PayPal account. I hope that answers your question. If not let me know and God bless.
I'd pay you to build me one or two...
Even.... getting me everything including the right (or whatever you choose) balance charger and battery checker
Hi Jeffrey. Thank you for your comment. I am afraid your request falls in with a hundred others. I'm sorry but I cannot help you. Thank you for watching my channel and God bless.
good video
Thank You.
