Maybe I missed it but allow me to ask. When it comes to shrimps, prawns, and or crayfish which type of water (freshwater or seawater) is best suited for farming in a biofloc system vs the R.A.S, and which animal is best suited for which system?

No it only confused us more. One hand you said ras is limiting thr growth on the other hand you said bioflocs solid particles suspend the growth.

There are advantages and disadvantages to each one which is what she mentioned. Many people right now prefer biofloc because many authors claim lower disease incidence and you can reduce water exchange too. There are many ways to successfully grow shrimp in many different production systems

maybe BF is little better than RAS as long as you could control total suspended solid concentration and nitrate accumulation
