I think a lot of people forget the fact that Danny and Denis have two DIFFERENT vocals and personalities. The band was something else with Danny and now it's something new with Denis. They're both great vocalists and if you are a true AA fan, you should respect Danny's memories in the band, and now be supportive of Denis.

My sophmore year of highschool I saw him live. It was definitely an amazing concert I will never forget. His vocals were the same even live. Even though things did not turn out for the best, I am thankful for the songs he is in.

Interesting take. So I was kinda the opposite where I was a fan since their first album release and followed them until Denis joined... I stopped listening to AA since then but this was in my recommended and this doesnt actually sound that bad. But I ask then, wouldnt you like AA's firs album? Cause this just sounds like a more polished 'stand up and scream' tbh maybe im wrong and need to listen to other tracks of the album to get a better understanding

it’s not the same for me without Danny. Danny’s raw vocals are just unmatched in this game, as is his rage. I don’t feel like this new guy compares at all. I also don’t like the stuttering techno stuff in the chorus, and where are the drums? reckless and relentless and from death to destiny will always be their best in my opinion
I like Danny's vocals better, but I cant forgive him for turning this band into a Fall Out Boy/Bring Me The Horizon ripoff. I mean how the hell do they go from The Black to their last album? The drop in quality is astonishing. I do find it funny how their last album was their self-titled like it was suppose to be their grand reintroduction like the Black Album by Metallica, but will go down as one of the worst attempts by a band trying to sell out. lol.
There’s no denying that this is one of AA’s best songs ever. Danny’s back but Denis went hard on this track in specific as well as Let It Sleep and Sometimes It Ends. I love me some Danny but with the self titled recent release, I feel like Danny’s voice fits We Are Harlot more now, and Denis is a perfect fit for AA. If we had 2009 or 2011 Danny’s voice then sure, that’s definitely AA. I’m definitely not complaining either, Danny and Denis are both easily in my top 5 vocalists, just giving ideas.
We should respect dennis. Yes he is not as great as danny, but his voice could mature as danny's did. He is still finding his place and we are making it hard for him because we keep comparing him to danny. We should respect the band since this is their decision, they wanted change so here it is.

I think this album was what got me into Asking Alexandria.. I listened to their older albums afterwards and I enjoyed it, but not as much as this album... I havent listened to their music in awhile so I went and listened to their music that came out in 2017-2020.. and damn i miss denis... also miss AA's older style..

This is the AA I fell in love with. I didn't like AA back then, but after this album all of that changed, this proves that indeed Denis (or at least the lack of Danny) made this band different. I don't love AA, I love this album. This is so intense and real!

The main thing that it sucks that we're never gonna hear this song or record live again. This record is literally on my top 10 of favorites and it's unfortunate/sad what Denis did to them but I also love seeing Danny happy playing with the ones who he started music with. It's rare for bands to have all the original members active and alive.

The whole song is fucking amazing. I had a huge smile on my face the first time I heard Denis start screaming. But the way Ben screams "I can't cut you out" at the end of Denis's "Lift my feet off the ground"... It sends chills through my body. I think it's because of things going on in my life right now I feel the agony in the way he screams it.

Danny is the perfect replacement for Denis, and Denis is the perfect replacement for Danny. if Denis didn't join then AA would've gone downhill with Danny's ideas for the band at the time. I honestly think people are missing a key aspect in this whole ordeal.. BANDS CHANGE!! Yes, it may be hard trying to accept a new singer but why compare him to Danny? Denis has soo much potential yet we're all just bringing him down because we compare him to Danny. NO he will never be Danny and that is because he's a completely different person. Denis and Danny both have great vocals but two very different sounds. I think we should stop comparing the two and just try to show Denis and the rest of the band that we are there for them through it all.. I mean isn't that what true fans do? And yes I realize the sound of the band as a whole has changed and that is okay too. Bands develop new sounds and try something new all the time,we just need to support them!

The Black (song) is the fastest viewing Asking Alexandria song and during 2018 it will be the most viewed Asking Alexandria song. Most songs from The Black (album) has been growing views faster then songs from the Stand Up And Scream album, Reckless And Relentless album, From Death To Destiny album and the now self titled album but the self titled album has songs left to gain views. So far it has not. Denis Stoff did leave we all know that. People like comparing people like Denis and Danny together to see who’s “better” (most saying Danny). no matter what happens. The Black (song) has Denis (The vocalist during the song) was the vocalist during this song. And Danny was wherever he was. Also being not in the song. Denis’s time in the band was the time the band gained more viewers then ever in their career with the songs like The Black etc. this album in my eyes is their boost that gained a bigger audience. Revisiting this banger, I really loved this era of AA. Saw them at Warped in 2015 and this album was in constant rotation when it came out. It’s kind of in a weird black sheep position these days but they were absolutely firing on all cylinders with that album.

I also don’t like the stuttering techno stuff in the chorus, and where are the drums? reckless and relentless and from death to destiny will always be their best in my opinion

There’s no denying that this is one of AA’s best songs ever. Danny’s back but Denis went hard on this track in specific as well as Let It Sleep and Sometimes It Ends. I love me some Danny but with the self titled recent release, I feel like Danny’s voice fits We Are Harlot more now, and Denis is a perfect fit for AA. If we had 2009 or 2011 Danny’s voice then sure, that’s definitely AA. I’m definitely not complaining either, Danny and Denis are both easily in my top 5 vocalists, just giving ideas.

The main thing that it sucks that we're never gonna hear this song or record live again. This record is literally on my top 10 of favorites and it's unfortunate/sad what Denis did to them but I also love seeing Danny happy playing with the ones who he started music with. It's rare for bands to have all the original members active and alive.

I honestly think people are missing a key aspect in this whole ordeal.. BANDS CHANGE!! Yes, it may be hard trying to accept a new singer but why compare him to Danny? Denis has soo much potential yet we're all just bringing him down because we compare him to Danny. NO he will never be Danny and that is because he's a completely different person. Denis and Danny both have great vocals but two very different sounds. I think we should stop comparing the two and just try to show Denis and the rest of the band that we are there for them through it all.. I mean isn't that what true fans do? And yes I realize the sound of the band as a whole has changed and that is okay too. Bands develop new sounds and try something new all the time,we just need to support them!

I feel the same way! I love Danny but some of the songs off this album are so powerful and emotional. I wish I would have seen Denis live.
They still do the black live. Danny's version is obviously a bit different but they arent just not gonna play one of their biggest singles to date at a show. This album skyrocketed their career even farther than it was. Theyd be stupid to let anything interfere with that

The Black (song) is the fastest viewing Asking Alexandria song and during 2018 it will be the most viewed Asking Alexandria song. Most songs from The Black (album) has been growing views faster then songs from the Stand Up And Scream album, Reckless And Relentless album, From Death To Destiny album and the now self titled album but the self titled album has songs left to gain views. So far it has not. Denis Stoff did leave we all know that. People like comparing people like Denis and Danny together to see who’s “better” (most saying Danny). no matter what happens. The Black (song) has Denis (The vocalist during the song) was the vocalist during this song. And Danny was wherever he was. Also being not in the song. Denis’s time in the band was the time the band gained more viewers then ever in their career with the songs like The Black etc. this album in my eyes is their boost that gained a bigger audience. Lastly this is just something I have to say for myself as well. “Send Me Home” is my favorite song from them. It helped me through A hard time. Revisiting this banger, I really loved this era of AA. Saw them at Warped in 2015 and this album was in constant rotation when it came out. It’s kind of in a weird black sheep position these days but they were absolutely firing on all cylinders with that album.

All the purists prefer the old stuff but honestly I quite liked the direction they were going in with Denis. If it's the newer sound you're into you'll be disappointed, everyone's expecting a 2010 level Danny/AA to reappear but I'm not convinced.
