Once again beasts are broken and blizzard not only refuses to nerf but actually buff them. They really like them beasts
Beasts are the most fun build in the game rn and are no longer broken in a boring frustrating way, so I’m cool with them being strong in this version
@@elucas51 while I do agree that they're in a better state than the banana blaster or leapfrogger (oof) metas the fact that they're so far ahead in the hands of even the worst battlegrounds players makes it unfun to play against, and in my opinion to play as too. Basically being forced to play this or highroll out of your minds is just bad. It limits build variety and either leads to everyone going the build and failing or one person getting the build and stomping everyone else. Even transitioning to it leaves you weak for one, at most two, turns, in the midgame, where you take a max of 15/30 damage making it super safe

They're not broken for me, they're just awful to play against

It wasn’t just QB that got wrecked in this patch. Elementals and Demons feel really inconsistent, too. And, even when the whole lobby is playing Beasts, Bob seems to offer beasts more often. I think the devs are trolling BGs.

I remember watching this live and just staring on with disgust.
I got Ghoul-a-Cabra in a mech comp where I stacked Replicating Menace on a mech and then destroyed it with my hero power. I was getting like +8/+8 per minion before the first attack. It was disgusting.

the new 6 star beast also works with beatboxer/baron - get alot of microbots to spawn out of beatboxers and they will scale like crazy - mech exodia stuff 300/300 microbots xD

Krip was right. Duos is a complete mess atm. if you get lameduck buddies, and your opponents do not, just ff right there.
Highrolled like crazy, I swear Skyblazer is a tier 7 with how rarely I see it in the tavern.
Saurfang shellemental is still insane (though the buddy is kinda useless)
Basically, full stack a tavern minion (preferably zesty shaker) with your hero power and buffs, then spam shellemental's spellcraft on it. End of game without shaker I had a 1200/600 myrmidon.
I had the ghoulacabra in combination with the tier 7 undead recurring nightmare and a baron so i had almost infinite triggers.
The problem is that blizzard keeps giving beasts the thing that makes other types special, such as dragons being able to perm in combat buffs.

Essentially, there are so many creative and fun ways to play which is great for us more anti-meta players, but the meta got better
I feel like it's that minion type plus certain heroes, thorim is in almost every game and his buddy is insane
Mech is way more broken with the OP beast funny enough. You get the macaw and 'cabra, then just slam a million magnetize deathrattles WHICH ALL COUNT AS A SEPARATE TRIGGER onto a mech, and suddenly your macaw attack takes 5 minutes and gives all your minions +500/500. Beat a trigore build earlier that way which was funny.
Bruv kripp high rolled hard, but still this build is so broken its absurd. I played it a couple of times, its kinda consistant. Fucking insane
This 6drop beast is even more broken with mechs, get 1000/1000 Stats in one turn 🤣
blizzard likes beasts a little too much, someone send the cops before they nuke their hard drive

I just ran into this myself. It's insane how good that build works. I don't get why Blizz has such a hard on for Beasts. I thought they learned their lesson with the boring banana slammer builds last season.
I got insanely lucky quilboar with thorim gloop getting a golden and regular copy from the tavern naga. all golden end of turn QB
they've done it again, made buddies a winmore mechanic. I can only conclude they have no idea how to balance anything

This is the biggest highroll I’ve seen in a long time. Ghoulcabra is a fun idea that was horribly executed, you can’t put in fun broken cards when the biggest benefactors are already strong. Beast needed some tuning nerfs and instead got a extreme lategame power spike.
I was cofused when I saw this card, I have no idea why they do it as +2/+2 and think that this is a fair 6 drops, It do way more than Kalecgos

For over two years now, since Leaper, BLIZZARD has had a thing for Beasts. Game is unplayable with Beasts, and to a slightly lesser extent Undead. Having builds that can carry a Tier 1 minion through whole game is ridiculous.

Even if you compared it to the non golden version it's so much better even if beasts are out and you only have 1 deathrattle. It's not even remotely close.

@@kd8691 the 1 mana coin has an entirely different purpose, however. The 3 mana buff and ghoulacabra both share the purpose of buffing your board, and one just does it significantly worse. That said, sure, I get what you mean. Banana is also designed to buff and does it worse, and is a rather silly comparison

her buddy is one of the worse i feel , just reduce it 1 time by 2 then again, not like a permeant -2 then -4 with golden or whatever

I sort of like it, lets you click your button on the earlier levels for a quick power spike to avoid damage and then not feel too bad because by tavern 5 or 6 you can have its cost reduced back down again. I think the worst one is easily George's hero that gives all divine shield minions +2 attack whenever you hero power. That one is just terrible, worse than the catch spell

Perm -2? Isn't that just effectively what it is now? If your hero power is at 3, then you use the buddy, it goes back to 1. All future hero powers are now 2 cheaper than they were before you played it. Your next hero power would've been 4, but is now 2. The one after that would've been 5, but is now 3.
