today I'm sharing with you how I decorate with thrifted items in my home.
오늘 집에서 중고품으로 꾸민 얘기를 해볼게.
and why I love it so much.
내가 왜 그걸 좋아하는지도.
so I'm gonna start with our living area here.
먼저 거실부터 시작할게.
and to be honest, almost everything is secondhand or thrifted.
솔직히 거의 다 중고품이야.
the only pieces that are not are our pillows.
베개만 중고가 아니야.
I got those on clearance at a boutique store.
그건 부티크에서 세일할 때 샀어.
I love thrifted second-hand furniture.
난 중고 가구가 좋아.
because with couches and chairs.
소파랑 의자 같은 거는,
if you have kids, I don't feel so bad when there is a marker on it.
애들이 있으면, 마커 묻어도 별로 신경 안 써.
and you can't get it out.
그리고 지워지지 않아도 괜찮아.
so our dining room, which I actually call our music room.
우리 다이닝룸, 사실은 음악실이라고 불러.
because it has my piano in it.
피아노가 있거든.
I have a lot of hand-me-down furniture in this location.
여기엔 물려받은 가구가 많아.
the piano was from my grandma when she passed.
피아노는 할머니가 돌아가셨을 때 받은 거야.
and this wooden music stand I love was also from my grandma.
이 나무 악보대도 할머니한테 받은 거고.
and I love that about secondhand pieces, they tell a story.
중고품의 이야기가 있는 게 좋아.
I love filling my home with pieces that have their own individual story.
이야기 있는 물건들로 집을 채우는 게 좋아.
and you can just create your home, your atmosphere with other people's stuff that has stories.
남의 이야기가 담긴 물건들로 집 분위기를 만들 수 있어.
or the second-hand music stand that I got from my grandma.
할머니한테 받은 중고 악보대처럼.
they're just all conversation starters.
그런 게 대화의 시작이 되거든.
that's what I love about secondhand pieces.
그게 중고품을 좋아하는 이유야.
some other things I found, like my Corelle ware that I rave about.
내가 자랑하는 코렐 식기 같은 것도 있어.
I've got second-hand, and I really like the quality of those.
중고로 샀는데, 품질이 정말 좋아.
there's just so many things that I think work well.
잘 어울리는 게 정말 많아.
that are more vintage or a little bit older that you can find second-hand.
빈티지하거나 오래된 걸 중고로 찾을 수 있어.
and the thing with secondhand, you can change it out if your style changes.
중고품의 좋은 점은 스타일이 바뀌면 쉽게 교체할 수 있다는 거야.
so that's kind of what I have around our home.
우리 집엔 그런 게 많아.
truly, I would say 90% of the pieces I own are secondhand.
솔직히 내 물건의 90%가 중고야.
and that's what I love about my home.
그래서 우리 집이 좋아.
is it tells a story, things can be collected through my shopping experiences.
이야기가 있고, 쇼핑하면서 모은 거야.
they can be changed out without feeling so guilty.
죄책감 없이 교체할 수 있고.
and it's all very budget-friendly that way too.
그렇게 하면 예산에도 부담 없고.
so I hope you just kind of enjoyed seeing around my house a little bit of what I have that is secondhand and thrifted.
