Taekwondo is still awesome for learning kicking technique. It's a good start to learn this martial art for the first time since it's better that we train lower body to upper body.
I saw them in person at my TaeKwondo Hamnadang and they were awesome. I even got to meet them and load their bags into the trailer. If you can go see them do it because they were awesome
I agree, we as American have a totaly different view than they do in Korea when it come to TKD. Its a much bigger part of life in South Korea and it manifests in many different ways. Its not unusal for a elderly person to enjoy a hip hop performance and for the Hip hoppers to enjoy elderly audience members who watch them. Our martial arts in the US is very very diverse. In Korea its 90% TKD all the time. nothing wrong with a little tkd/fusion.
AWESOME!!!, super discipline to do all those tricks. INCREÍBLE!!. (in spanish) ASOMBROSOS!!! super disciplina para hacer todos esos trucos. INCREÍBLE!!.
Answers for tkdpower: The move at 3:10 to 3:12 is a "butterfly kick" (but not a steady landing so it's hard to see if he is just doing a "butterfly twist" of actually kicking), and the move at 3:16 to 3:18 is a "gainer" plus a left leg backhook.
@FallinForInfinity101 dude...i began taekwondo when i was 13 and only wanted to join so i could keep in shape...but trust me...YOU ARE GONNA LOVE IT!!!
thanks onlij for the explaination and i also agreed with sng18 that both Taekwondo and Wushu are the best looking style of MA but also Capoeira is also the best looking style of MA too, so the 3 best looking oriental traditional MA is Taekwondo, Wushu, and Capoeira and all 3 only involves unique tricks that no other MA has.
@FallinForInfinity101 It's definately NOT too late! I study Taekwondo with my sons, and I got my first degree Black Belt at 39! I have students now that are white belts in their 40's. There is plenty to gain for students of ALL ages and ALL athletic abilities in a good martial arts school...don't give up before you even start! Go for it, and don't look back!
this just inspired me more with continuing Taekwondo in college. i really love the sport and although training is harsh (really...) i'd want to train until i could at least do 2-3 moves that they did here perfectly.XD
One time, my martial arts team did a demonstration using one of the ktigers Taekwondo dances. Even though it wasn't as intense as this, it was still a lot of fun doing it
i used to train taekwondo when i was in high school but was forced to abandon it due to time constraints im 26 years old now and i really want to practice it again.
u kno wat im freaking lucky. u kno y cause my master in tea kwon do was in the ktigers group. and to kno wat tae kwon fo i go for Grandmaster Byung Min Kim's tkd and im a black belt! WOOT!
@CsCounter1995 I love TKD. It is big part of my life. I do not think that some martial art is generally better than others. I belive that it depends on the person. What is right for one is not good for other. I am really very happy that I had a chance to meet just TKD. It completly change my life. I argee with you - give TKD chance and you will see.... :)
Everytime I tell someone I do Tae Kwon Do, and they do a different marital art, they say "Oh it's so easy" But when they try it themselves they fail miserably. =_= I've been doing TKD for years now. It's improved every aspect of me.
I wish that i joined martial arts or something when i was little.13 is too late... i DID do gymnastics, but i couldnt do a back handspring. my mom took me out cause she thought gymnastics was a waste of time.
@spiritofmuye i don't think there are takedowns in taekwondo. in my dojang they teach that but the class is taught by a man who does jiu jitsu, not tkd. and he's always reminding us that our first art is tkd so whenever we can we should get back on our feet, since taekwondo is first and foremost a striking martial art. besides, this is what k tigers does.
In actuality, men from Korea who have at least a first dan black belt have been trained in their national army. Seeing as all the Korean Tigers have black belts, you really wouldn't want to fight any of them. Additionally, olympic sparring (which is more sport oriented, and although it trains your reflexes) is not the same as a street fight (where the one who will win is the one who has the advantage).
i am a 2nd dan wtf caertified, and 1st dan kukkiwon certified balck belt, TKD is awesome for fitness, flexibility, strength, and self control, but as black belts, we do mui thai and jiu jitsu to add to it. personally i think all of the martial arts have something to offer, i chose TKD because i wanted to lose weight. i am currently down 85 pounds :) i went from 230 to 145. i am currently the tot (lil dragon) teacher in my club :) :) :) :)
To those who do not know and start mouthing off. . . Music, hip hop, and Taekwondo play a very big role in South Korea. . . . So they put them in together. . . I see nothing wrong with it. . . What's wrong with having alittle fun?
I disagree I started Taekwondo my freshmen year in college, now I'm 20 going into my thrid year of college and at blue belt rank and I have to say it is one of the best decisions of my life.
@SuperBluepurple you have different styles of taekwondo 1. Modern Taekwondo 2.Traditional Taekwondo 3.Acrobatic Taekwondo... but when you put all together, you get K-Tigers ! :D
I used to do taekwondo when i was back in the phillipines but i had to stop because i came here in america and did jujitsu instead but im coming back to practice taekwondo again cuz its better that jujitsu just saying
I started when i was 13. Its never to late, you dont even have to be talented. Allthough instead of you allready being very flexible at age of 13 you will be maybe at age of 20-25. Its pretty much the only hard part. Also the flipping and backhandsprings etc is going to be alot more difficult. I cant do it. I dont have a video of myself doing MA yet, allthough check out kwonkickers channel. Im like him except the flexibility and flipps. //mmacritic
13 really isn't late. I mean, learning at that age might let you better grasp and understand your fundamentals. Although you might be at a disadvantage at the start, if you train hard, you would still be able to make it. :)
Korean Taekwondo is The Most Coolest Martial art Ever. Love it.
AWSOME! i wish i could have a sensei like you Sr.Min-cheol Shin, you are awsome.
This is really great I love tae kwon do... I wanna be like korean tigers someday....
Taekwondo is still awesome for learning kicking technique. It's a good start to learn this martial art for the first time since it's better that we train lower body to upper body.
I Love Taekwondo! Before when i was a yellow belter i really want to quit. But I didn't and now im a Red Belter :D
the beauty of taekwondo... breath taking...
Wonderful film. Nice photography and videography. Excellent editing. Performers' timing is precise and exciting.
I saw them in person at my TaeKwondo Hamnadang and they were awesome. I even got to meet them and load their bags into the trailer. If you can go see them do it because they were awesome

@NorthenHunter depends if they are willing to try

@FallinForInfinity101
Aww hey 13 isn't too late. I started at 18 and yea, granted the lack of flexibility made it hard at first but you'll improve :)
