    I have raw wire- no coating. Can copper wire be used?

    • @AsiaPacificGarden
      @AsiaPacificGarden  6 месяцев назад +3

      In our experience, it's not recommended. Pure copper wires can transfer heat easily and can leave markings on the trunks and branches. We use aluminum coated wires.

    How do get all that white build up off the pot to re use the pot?

      @@andrewdobosz3682 just some elbow grease and a good damp towel is all we need!

    How long do you leave the wire?

    • @AsiaPacificGarden
      @AsiaPacificGarden  6 месяцев назад +3

      @@krisgalusha9820there's no set time, but a good start is to check every six months. When doing literati, the most important part is to leave some space between the wire and the trunk so it has room to grow. Some trees grow faster than others. We've seen literati style hold the shape as fast as 6 months.

      I’m a new subscriber and have not gone back to see all your video’s yet. I was wondering if you could or have done a video on soil?

      @AsiaPacificGarden  6 месяцев назад +3

      @@krisgalusha9820 we've covered soil mixes in several of our videos, but we recently did a short that gives a better description.

    I tried from seed. Gave up. If i buy a plant what do you recommend? New England area. I’d like to try again but with a more established plant this time

    • @AsiaPacificGarden
      @AsiaPacificGarden  6 месяцев назад

      @@cynthiaplatt5273 the best way to recommend a plant is to find the one that speaks to you. In one of our shorts, we mentioned why as a beginner, we don't recommend growing from seed and instead choosing a tree/plant that's already established. We like to look for trunks that have good movement.
