As a person who struggles with mental health, and strong in faith, I feel this song to my core.
It's not a fun club to be a member of. Hope you're doing well sir!
I was diagnosed with mental illness at a young age. I spent a lot of time in psych care. Seclusion and restraints when I refused the meds. I believed in Jesus Christ. Had no idea He was able to set me free from the bondage and confusion of labels. I began to hear Him, through His word, His words of peace, be still to my tormented mind. Anxiety is cruel, but the Lord said to me, I have not given you a spirit of fear but of power, love and sound mind. He gave me courage to confront the lies I had believed about myself and silence the voice of the enemy who came to me with the intent to steal, kill and destroy me. I am now free of medicine, psychologists and psych wards!! Amen, I am free of the bars that anxiety held me in. I pray you will find the same freedom in Christ as I have. Peace like His don’t come in a bottle of booze or pills. I drained those and never found what I was looking for. I pray you find peace and freedom in Christ Jesus. God bless you.

Michael McGowan I like that album too. You just have to separate what Disciple is or was after to really get it. But I understand if you still don’t like it, it hasn’t aged well.
Back Again from 2003 is hands down their heaviest album. But this one definitely hits hard too!

I like it. Instead of just having Andrew's vocals by themselves, it would've been cool if he could have joined back in during the "it's just another day in the panic" part of the chorus so that you'd have layered vocals together. That said, it's great to hear you guys are still making music.

HurdleTHIS they don't promote like most. highly overlooked since day 1....the christian rock title makes ppl scared and it's a shame. there is a whole new world of music some of which is better or equal quality of mainstream rock.

Just watched Disciple perform this song live at the Cup-of-Joy in Green Bay WI a couple of hours ago. Just when I think I've seen their best performance, they take it to a next level. Both the video and the live performance of Panic Room is fantastic.
How does it sound with Kevin singing the whole chorus? I love Andrew and his vocal style is very distinct. I would love for Project 86 to tour with Disciple so they can do this song together live.

@@emessick Kevin did a great job. He has admitted that he was trying to sound like Andrew, but can't sing that part as well as Andrew does. I thought it sounded awesome though!

This song is amazing, two great bands ive listened to for over 20 years. The hidden camera line confuses me though. I know these guys are creative. So its gotta mean something not as creepy as it sounds right? Who exactly is speaking that section?
At first I listened to this and got worried. The. I listened to other songs on the album. And I’m good now. It’s ok. They are not going to the world. .. but it looks like they are truly effected by it🤪. Like the Prohect 86 effect also.
This song is at least partially inspired by Psalm 51:3 "For I know my wrongdoing, and my sin is always in front of me." They posted that verse on Instagram along with Panic Room lyrics. :)
