    As westernized militant feminism spreads , you will see more scenes like this. No one listening . Just jumping at the opportunity to check some one. The President of Ghana was simply telling them that the progress they seek requires women to to have a voice and be sitting at the table where decisions are made. Clearly he wasn’t talking about the loud and vocal western women he was talking to . He was referring to the women in his country that are not stepping up enough to be heard. There are many reasons for this but at the end of the day we should all be able to agree that he may have an insight into his country and region that these “ activists “ do not have. Also I thought that they would never take Tone with the head of a western / white nation. Their sense of superiority was rooted in race and class that they feel they have over any black man. Even a President who was being an honest ally with them couldn’t be spared the anger and show they where putting on for their audience.

      alansjf33 although I agree that the president is certainly in a better position to speak of his country than the others, what actually sparked the heat related to this incident is the phrase “lack of dynamism” he used. According to some of the attendees I listened to, there was a collective gasp from the crowd when they heard those words. This crowd was made up of 8000 people from all over the world, including more than a 100 Ghanaians. It seemed as if the president had forgotten that there are structures that hinder women’s progress. Let a woman stand for any position and society will try so hard to bring her down with insults, threats, etc. What wasn’t done to women like Charlotte Osei?? The atmosphere to encourage women for places of power has not been created; the structures not put in place. Zenator Rawlings was recently brutally insulted for being a “born three”, “husbandless”, “woman who should shut up and think about herself”...and she is a whole minister. How do you expect others to be encouraged after seeing this?
      When the president saw the divide between the educated and uneducated and how poverty contributed to this, he created the “free shs” and free feeding as at least concrete steps towards solving that. What are the concrete steps he’s put up to encourage and create a better system for women? When the French president committed himself to getting half of his governing ministers as women, he did just that. Appointed 11 men, 11 women. Perhaps Nana Addo should be more dynamic in his approach to women empowerment as well.
      You can only hold me accountable when you have actually given me something to account for. Go through the comments and read what people are saying. It’s amazing and sad at the same time. Misogyny is deeply rooted in us as a people and yet we wonder why we can’t progress.

    • @Isopher
      @Isopher 5 лет назад +8

      Nana Adoma elaborate on these structures that hinder these women? If there are more women in Ghana and as a matter of fact in the world, what is stopping women taking advantage of their populations and positioning themselves in decision making roles to get more women in power?. I believe women are not united in a face of adversity.Women don’t even get along with follow women but wants to lead men. The issue isn’t to do with gender inequality as clearly there more women than men but rather feminism divisiveness. President Addo was undoubtably misunderstood and the granularity is there to be seen.

    • @summerskies2801
      @summerskies2801 5 лет назад +1

      Isopher you answered your own question. The Answer is patriarchy. Look it up... patriarchy creates a system in society where women feel the need to compete with each other for the attention of men. Patriarchy is global, and needs to be done away with entirely.... it has done nothing but encourage toxic masculinity and hindered women’s progress.

    • @nanaadoma3141
      @nanaadoma3141 5 лет назад +2

      Summer Skies I honestly didn’t want to comment on his “elaborate on these structures” request. Elaborate what again when I had already talked about misogyny and an unconducive atmosphere for women empowerment, with typical examples. Or he wanted dictionary definitions of all the words I typed?? Or maybe a whole lecture? Smh

      Of course. But if those in power have a prejudice against women and think that they are fundamentally inferior to men in decision making, in work ethic, in tempermant etc. your competence no longer speaks for itself. If you are passed over for leadership positions because you just got married and they're scared you might get pregnant and go on maternity leave, it doesn't matter how good you were. If companies push you out of your hard won position while you were on your maternity leave and make something up to fire you after you come back, that will set you back...
      Competency is important and I stand with you on it, but in order for a meritocracy to be completely fair the world must be fair, and that's simply just not the case...
