Tarikh is a daily program in which we present you with incidents and stories of noteworthy persons of Indian History in Hindi. In this edition of Tarikh Divyanshi talks about 1945 Indian National Army trials. It is also known as the INA Red Fort trials. After the second world War the British army arrested INA soldiers. British started trials against INA Top Commander Shah Nawaz Khan, Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon and Prem Kumar Sahgal. They were charged with waging war against the nation and Murder. Congress Leader and lawyer Bhulabhai Desai argued for INA Soldiers. Hearing the arguments of Bhulabhai Desai, the British court had to convert the death sentence of the soldiers to life imprisonment.

Just my personal thought. ...agar india ke alawa koi or country hoti to....just after independence all those politicians, policemen and armed forces personnel those were responsible for killing of innocent indian people should have been put in jail....but instead they were allowed to carry on with their duties . It was there fault that they listen to Britishers and killed their own people. They all must have been put on trial and jail accordingly.

Nehru took the opportunity to ride the wave of support for the INA. The same Nehru, who openly opposed INA in 1943 (spoke in Calcutta in public), came out to defend them.
Nehru presented himself only on 3 days during the entire trial of 2 months!
INA was the force that eventually killed the British Empire, especially after Gandhi's "Charkha" failed in every aspect.
This led to the Indian Naval Mutiny (Feb 1946) and also revolt in the Royal IAF.
Gandhi said nothing in support of the INA.

Can anyone explain why whenever suprim court bench while giving judgement on any subject related to Islam, mostly reserved or refered to later date? And most of Hindu judges gives judgement against Hindu but muslim judges mostly give judgement in Muslim favor?
Lack of clarity and due to clarity.
This was the real reason of our Freedom. A mutiny followed this trial forced Britishers to rethink their future plans in India. They realized that with mutiny brewing in their armed forces, they can't rule this country, and they decided to leave for the good by handing over the power to their trusted Congress party instead the revolutionists.
Who revolutionists? Non of them existed after ww2, only few from hrsa movement survived tho they weren't qualified enough for governance qualities. Congress intelligences wrote multiple times that Congress was silently behind all these and was giving winds to events occurred after ww2 like uprising and mutiny. I hope you know about defence committee setup by Congress for INA trials.
