Been moving off of my (bass guitar) thrash roots and been exploring more doom related stuff as Sabbath is a big influence on me. Moved to a guitar and grabbed a Dunable and an AOR and am looking to build some pedals. I love Sleep and this pedal is a killer. Thanks for the demo! If it was really Matt Pike in a box you automatically would lose your shirt because we all know Pike doesn’t own a shirt and that is the true secret to his tone
Awesome video, you really nailed the early Matt Pike tone with that pedal. That's got to be one of the best pedals that I have heard for playing sleep songs. I've never checked out these pedals before and I like what I see have to add one for my bucket list.
@The Distortion Principle interesting 🤔, the aor, is like a preamp pedal I guess and this is a drive, so would I be right in thinking is more amp friendly?
This is a good tone, but it’s definitely not Pike’s Sleep Tone. The Frost Giant AOR is GOAT. Stack that with the SOMA then you have the DopeSmoker Tone. I give this pedal a 6.4 / 10 It’s okay, but not great.
It’s two LM386 chips with a BMP tone/output section. Stack engages/disengages one of the LM386s.
