Read either his book "On having no head" (free pdf online) or Sam Harris "Waking Up". It is not so much about understanding as about *seeing* - and practicing. Make your gaze wide and look for your own head!

Asking suggestive questions and answering them according to his own experience. Not a great way of teaching. It will perhaps give some temporary satori to a few, but people have to find out for themselves. Each has his own approach. The mistake of many teachers is, they had the good fortune of falling into Oneness. Then they start analyzing what happened and how (which is unknowable), their mind makes up a story and a method and they start teaching that, they get followers and write books and make money and this convinces them falsely that the teaching is successful. But it hardly ever works reversely for others because we are all different and it all comes down to Grace anyway. Even Ramana only experienced a few of his visitors and followers to have success. There is only one way: disappear. No thinking, no mind. It is not a doing. And each of us has to come up with his own preparation to invite Grace. By all means, try the headless way. Perhaps you are ripe for Grace to happen. It can't be taught because it is already here.

For some people, finding this video *is* the Grace you speak of. Teaching and non-teaching are equal. Even the teaching that ‘teaching is a mistake’ is equal. It’s the perfect set-up.

I agree with you. We still try to share and explain to others, so in a way, that is like talking to ourselves ? But that is the only way we have; to share our joy and to seek re-affirmation. But you are correct that each must find their own way. There is a country gospel, blues gospel song- Lonesome Valley that says it better than I can.

Patrick Horn if you go to Harding’s ( the headless way ) website, there is an article by a blind person doing the experiments, not just this one, you may find it helpful. It really isn’t dependant on vision, whether your eyes are open or closed, nothing about what you’re experiencing changes. The nature of who you are is unchanged.

so thats what you think an enlightened person does, it is not true. meditation is great to me for exploring my psychology and getting sore legs.. when you are enlightened, we you in realization, there is nothing to do but to get on with things, and to practice bringing this realization back and sustaining it. or just be at peace if you cannot practice enlightenment.. realization comes first, then the real practice starts..
