Hakeem’s game (defense, offense…) would give him an advantage at affecting the game in more ways from more spots on the court. Wouldn’t want to see Shaq stuck guarding a stretch 5 center and the spacing in today’s game can be used to minimize his defensive impact.

If I am building a team and I can't take these players, I'm gonna go Magic at the 1, Kobe at 2, Kawhi at the 3, Bird at the 4, and Wilt at the 5. Super athletic team that can push the pace. I'm opting for Wilt over Russel here just to give us stronger inside scoring since I think Magic can be the team's leader. We cover for Magic's lackluster defense with Kobe and Kawhi having excellent perimeter defense, and Bird being a great off ball defender who can play the passing lanes well while Kobe and Kawhi pressure ball handlers into making tough passes. Wilt protecting the rim also let's Bird gamble a bit more. I think my guys could cause problems for Obama's crew, particularly since he is trying to have LeBron run point forward. Kawhi and Kobe have both shown the ability to lock up LeBron one on one, whereas LeBron is usually able to draw help side defense, which means I won't need to leave Steph or KD open for catch and shoot. MJ is obviously the biggest problem for my team, but at least he is making 2s for the most part rather than 3s and I'm gonna have a big mismatch with Steph trying to guard Magic on the other end.
