As a Spaniard and Real Madrid fan I was lucky enough to see Petkovic play for a couple of seasons, although he only played 10-12 games, including friendlies, but he left signs of his incredible quality. If he had not had the bad luck of arriving at Madrid in the 2nd season of Valdano (which was terrible) and the 1st of the Bosman Law, with Madrid full of stars competing for any position, Petkovic would have triumphed without a doubt.
