Also, and more importantly, as he said in his own words, he decided to "man up" and take responsibility for his own life after coming out of jail, he didn't continue to live a life of crime, he got himself not just one but two jobs and he was giving that woman his entire paycheck. He deserves the leniency. If a black man does the same thing after being released from jail, and decides to take responsibility for his own actions instead of blaming everything on race, then I can assure you that people in the comments section would be just as lenient.
