1:08:06 “They’re still putting emphasis on the guys that aren’t there every week” 7 years later, nothing’s changed. (Aside from the TV ratings, of course…)
The Shotgun Charlie comment made me laugh like crazy. I had no idea what he was talking about at first, until Jay put it together that he meant Machine Gun Kelly lol.
The part where taker and lesnar sat up and laughed was the SS moment for me. However it could've been better if Taker had rolled his eyes up and laughed.
Matthew is the vince Russo of osw he throws a thousand jokes and only a couple stick like Russo pitching a thousand ideas at vince in the attitude era and only a few are any good
Id love to see a sort of rise and fall of TNA, where they do say TNA first show, lockdown 2008 (their highest buy rate), 1/4/2010 (debut of Hogan), and BFG 2013 (their sort of last hurrah)
I always took The Famouser as a play on Emilio Estevez's line from Young Guns, "I'll make ya' famous" and then also since his persona of Mr. Ass if you look at the name as The Fame-ASS-er its a play on words. Never thought it had anything to do with the FAMAS assault rifle.
We did finally get that So-called revolution(though it could still be much better) And if there's one thing I can give to the Ambrose/Reigns Buddy Cop team its that they do seem to genuinely care about each other.
The first time I saw a tag team try and pin itself was the New Age Outlaws. After that they would have multi-tag matches with "outlaw rules" meaning you specifically could not pin your own teammate. Anyone see it before that?
Big Show looks like he never slept before pay-per views. Even back as a young guy he’d look so horrid before shows. Glad he finally started taking care of himself. He looks much better now. But still his eyes look so swollen half the time. They must push these guys way too hard.
9 years later and Roman just finished being the catalyst to perhaps the greatest storyline ever and participated in the finest hour of professional wrestling that ive witnessed in my 44 years
I wasn’t watching wrestling when all this was happening. I dropped out after the failed Summer of Punk and came back at Takeover Dallas. It’s so weird to see how WWEs failings during this period are still being felt now. In particular how they just won’t let people win clean, or even win dirty but by their own hand. It’s always a run-in, a Bray Wyatt ambush, a ref bump. And then there’s some talents that they just jobbed to older guys over and over. So you can never fully acknowledge Rollins or Ambrose or Wyatt or any of the people they were trying to get over because they never really won, just the other guy lost. Rollins feels now like somebody who they never fully pulled the trigger on, so people don’t buy him as champion. Even when he beat Brock, it was a foregone conclusion he was going to do it, and he immediately went back to screwy finishes over anybody credible. WWEs unwillingness to fully commit to putting any young talent over Cena during this time period killed them making new stars before he left. The best they managed was Brock, and Brock has held that over them for years.
5years later and I'm still marking out by the fact I made it on osw review. The black & blue dress pic I sent had an LG watermark on the bottom right corner so its the only way I know it was me lol
18:16- had WHAT at ringside??? I must have listened to what he said about 9-10 times but still couldn't understand what he was saying... ...who wants to tell me what he's actually saying there? lol
Shotgun Charlie, haha. It was funny when Maffew said it and even funnier when Jay realized he was talking about Machine Gun Kelly. Thanks for the videos.
23:10 Dolph has a five count to release the hold, and Rusev lost the rope. Dolph had every right to keep the hold on and maintain the competitive advantage. Rusev was not in the ropes long enough for the count to begin.
31:16- fuck Mountain Dew??? Seriously? Mountain Dew is the best soda ever! Screw those kick starter things it whatever they're called but Mountain Dew n Mountain Dew Baja Blast are the best sodas EVER!!!
How much has changed since this episode? Half this roster was fired, the other half wishes they could get fired, new day still rocks, kofi is champion won from a legit heel Daniel Bryan, he survived his injuries and still wrestles, roman finaly got over due to cancer, ambroise left to be a megastar, rollins is on his 2nd title reign and is indeed getting respected on the 2nd one, divas got droped thankfully, becky lynch is the top baby face of wwe, that slam outside assisted in paige's in ring carear ending and brock is still a overpaid part timer screwing over full timers cause vince loves beefy blondes
Whether you like it or not, even in 2022, Brock lesnar is both the most legit fighter, and the biggest draw in wrestling. MAYBE cm punk is bigger now after his return? MAYBE. But other than that it’s Brock
A different presenter? Are you absolutely sure that's wise, sir? I mean, I don't want to sound pretentious here, but Jay, V1 and Mr OOC comprise a dramaturgical triad.
Where are my boys? This guy is funny when he posts other people being funny. Heck, there were even quite a few fake laughs from Jay on this just cause he's such a sweet boy. You are a boy, right?
Cody may not have liked being StarDust, but the character and the idea were really pretty cool. Dusty went by the name StarDust over 40 years ago, so it ties in with family history. He won the tag titles as himself and as StarDust with his brother, in front of Dusty at ringside, and Cody won the titles by pinning Roman Reigns !!! Now that Cody is the Universal Champion, I believe that at some point he will play mind-games by coming out as StarDust. Xavier Woods is still the current King of the Ring winner, so he should get a title opportunity against either Damien Priest or Cody Rhodes
The Stardust match actually went better than I expected. As far as matches with non-wrestlers go? Pretty decent. I've seen worse uses of non-wrestlers like Drew Carrey and the like. At least Amell got into shape. And actually did moves. Seems like he did actual training for it. That's a low bar, yeah, but I have respect for a guy who is willing to jump off the top rope to the outside, when he doesn't have to as an actor. He was serviceable, which is all I could have hoped for. He didn't make anyone look bad either, so that's also a good thing. He sold better than some of the people currently working for WWE too.
It’s wild to look back at this. Roman is insanely over, Mox is the heart of AEW, Danielson just “retired”, Stardust is the biggest face in the WWE after leaving and starting a whole new company. On the sad side, both Harper and Wyatt are dead. Goddamn, time is a thief.
I thought yesturday after watching an OSW review abou in a triple threat tag of it probably being illegal but a sneaky thing a team could have tried, By tagging in a heel opponent to face his own partner to get them to beat up each other, I never thought though of two partners tagging in on purpose like in this video.
Spongebob Scumcock... okay that's that ruined forever. :D They're saying "Schwammkopf" by the way. Which is kinda redundant since it means "Spongehead".
Watching these episodes and seeing what's happening now is awesome haha "WWE is happy to keep Ambrose as a mid-card talent" maybe he is idk, he looks awkward with the WWE championship or is it just me?

Mad to think this was half a decade ago.
10 year anniversary next year And I've been watching pretty much from when it started. Thanks my dudes!
Watching this a few weeks after Bryan Danielson showed up in AEW. Proving the lads wrong as they requested
The "What Bar"-segment for Kalisto has to be the best ever. Holy crap i laughed and laughed and laughed :P
24:50 all the actual wrestlers in this match as of 2017 October 17th have all quit WWE. Now that's sad
The Shotgun Charlie comment made me laugh like crazy. I had no idea what he was talking about at first, until Jay put it together that he meant Machine Gun Kelly lol.
"That's my purse....I don't know you!!!!"
Fucking classic!!!!

or just rolled his eyes up and started him down.

Kanefan701 The SS moment?
@@rubberchix Yep, one of the best Summerslam Survivor Series moments ever
"The most important thing in humanity ... Since the opening of Greggs" 😄😂
Wasn't the founder of Greggs a huge nonce?
Wasn't his name Gregg as well?
Missing the unwavering logical undertones of .. Mr OOC
Should have swerved us and said......”neo”.

I hate when he’s there instead of OOC his jokes are terrible
Hes the worst
@@keithm11112I’d never heard an episode with him on before 😮
Throw a thousand ideas at the wall and see what sticks? Isn't that the foundation of what creativity is built on?😂😂😂
I'm pretty sure it's spelled "Maffew "
Cesaro vs Owens on this show is a match I absolutely completely forgot happened.
OOC is definitely the glue that holds the show together
16:22 That actually happened during a New Age Outlaws match (Raw is War June 8th 1998)
i still remember watching that match as a kid
I can't be the only person who'd be interested in seeing a series on TNA like they did for ECW right?
Id love to see a sort of rise and fall of TNA, where they do say TNA first show, lockdown 2008 (their highest buy rate), 1/4/2010 (debut of Hogan), and BFG 2013 (their sort of last hurrah)
Like 2004-2006 when TNA was at its best or the worst days of TNA?
You got your wish there pal
they might just because they talked about going to see tna live before thats the whole reason they dont like dlo lol
I'd love to see their take on Victory Road 2011, just for that main event.

its not named after the rifle. I do think is for the Young Guns movie. I Love OSW but every now and then Jay does some spotty research
That's right Sheamus had Money in the Bank last year at Summerslam.... Dark times.
That's my purse! I don't know you!
That Tazz to Roman Reigns music transition was amazing🤣
I stand by that LT vs Bam Bam was the greatest celebrity match of all time.
We did finally get that So-called revolution(though it could still be much better)
And if there's one thing I can give to the Ambrose/Reigns Buddy Cop team its that they do seem to genuinely care about each other.
John Stewart is back on the Daily Show full circle moment.

Oh Jay, I got that Phantom Menace reference of no confidence ;) Thank you, boyo!
the fan waving after taking the picture was craig of f4w bryan and vinny fame. good bunch of guys.
yep Jay was right new day is so over now as babyfaces
I love that Craig getting in the Stardust/Amell shot ended up being the reason they don't put the match on the Titantron in the arena anymore.
"Shotgun Charlie" killed me.

Cena's Springboard Stunner made me think he has a Wrestling toy room at home and he plays with them in a toy ring to get ideas for moves and matches.

It is crazy that both the members of the Wyatt family tag team both passed now.
Is that pumphandle from Becky the precursor to the Mandandle Slam?
So two years in a row Sheamus has had a match that revolved around interference?
