Thank you Jane ! Those polyrhythms are really hurting my brain...but it's so beautiful

Good luck with it, once you learn the notes, playing faster makes the polyrhythms much easier to play than going slow.

Thank you so much for this tutorial!
Would you say there is any rule as to how to play the hands together? Like, number of notes that match, number of notes that don't. Or should I just practice and memorise the notes without a specific rule? I usually struggle with the hands having different tempos but I really love this song

We all learn in different ways. I think those who play by ear have it easier. Those who can’t and need precision rely on math. Because I’m a math major, I made lessons on polyrhythms and presented a logical way to practice those. It’s like machine-learning. Enter “polyrhythms” in the search box of my website and it will lead you to all related RUclips links. When you decide to practice this piece, ace just a few measures, the rest should flow naturally.

haven't heard this one in a while :) and didn't realize it had all that fancy hand crossover! This prelude sounds difficult all the way thru -- i had better work out my weaker fingers a lot harder ! Happy hallowe'en XD

Many of us yearn to play it as incorrectly as you did...

Probably did that waltz. Easiest way to check is to enter "chopin waltzes" in the search box of my website (not YT).
