    • @gedofgont1006
      @gedofgont1006 3 месяца назад +2

      Agreed. It's about as good as it can possibly be, given the limitations of court geometry and camera optics.
      Some tournaments are unwatchable on TV, because of the camera placement. I'm thinking of where the court looks impossibly long, with the player at the far end almost a speck, as if you were looking down a telescope the wrong way.
      I also really like the low angle shots, where you get a sense of what it's actually like to be on the court, with the ball coming at you like a rocket.

      Yeah, he bigged himself up as a contender to win Wimbledon, last year, only to crash out early (first round?).
      He's certainly looking good though. Dimitrov is a former winner at Queen's, so knocking him out is a sure sign Korda is capable of being a major threat. He needs to keep his focus, be prepared to scrap and take it one match at a time.

    are we supposed to watch murray play (and lose) until he's 50? he's a great tennis player, insanely gifted and will very likely always be capable of hitting a breathtaking backhand lob, even from a wheelchair (which is where he'll end up if he doesn't retire soon.) but this obsession with old players needs to stop. the fact that Murray seems to serve as an "inspiration" to so many is beyond insane. what exactly is so inspiring about a 37 year old man that has somehow managed to preserve the undignified competitive spirit of someone half his age, leveraging that into an excruciatingly drawn-out end to an otherwise incredible career. is that what inspires you? a guy hobbling across a tennis court with a fake hip while screaming at himself and his 64 year old mother over a missed backhand?

    I think it noteworthy that two former Wimbledon finalists (Berrettini and Raonic) no longer look as dominant on grass as they once did.
    I know both have suffered with injuries, but I also think the general standard of men's grass court tennis has improved significantly in the last few years.
    I'd say there's currently around half a dozen players with a pretty good shot at winning the title at this year's Wimbledon: Alcaraz, Sinner, Zverev, Medvedev, Fritz and, as an outside bet (I'm a Brit!) Draper.
    Any others?

      He's 37. He has said he is going to retire in a few months. He's had hip replacement. He had torn ankle ligaments in March. He's had other injuries in the past year. He has a back injury now. Murray needs to retire , his hobbling all over the court is damaging his health more . He’s nothing to prove , a great player in his prime .

    Организаторам ATP сделайте уже отдельный турнир для таких теннисистов как Маррей,Надаль, Гаске, Шварцман,Фоньини и остальных кто уже не играет а позорится только на кортах. ATP grandfather's tour

    I wish berettini was playing in queens. He always has a good wimbledon run when he plays at queens prior to wimbledon

    Murray, Dimitrov and Raonic all losing was tough today. Shame to see great sportsmen go out to leave us with the unlikeable Korda, Fritz and Thompson
