Well, gotta say, your Momma treated you well. That green chili stew is pure gold. Its a must make (if I can find some good green chili's up here!!) Great meal for a cold wintry day which we will have now for the next 5-6 months
A good one, love the use of the AL pan, it expands the Blackstone creativity you ring it about. The ingredients are ones we newbies can get a hand on so, well done, it brings the confidence level up to get this done. Keep rollin....
If you love Hominy CJ, I got one for ya! Hominy Casserole. Mix together 2 cans hominy, 1 can cream of celery soup, diced up velveeta cheese, I use a small block but depends on how cheesy you want it.Sauté in butter 1 yellow onion & jalapeño (how ever much you want), add to the hominy mix & cook until the cheese melts. Add milk if needed if it’s to thick. Always a favorite even with people who think they don’t like hominy.
Brudda! I really loved the simplicity of Nate’s chili but yours is seriously right on par with his! Who is the master and who is the student young grasshopper? Love both you guys! RING THAT BELL FOR ME DUDE!!
I can’t believe you was able to work in a Moar Cowbell skit into this one. 😂😂 Well played and I gotta say both yours and Nate’s have a certain appeal to me. Great job fellas. 👏
I find the entertaining interacting between yinz all a great part of the show's. The movie references give a well.needed laugh. Almost gave up on the videos but glad I didn't. Love the recipes the fun and the overall experience. Looking forward to more videos
Ok CJ, I watch Nate's show on his Momma's chili, and it was good. Your Green Chili Stew looks dang good also. But don't deny the Frito Bandito by using plain Fritos, just because Nate beat you to the punch, using it on his chili! Yes, both recipes are of similar nature, although completely different in taste I am sure. But never,,, deny the Frito Bandito, or else Frito Lay may never pick you up as a sponsor (as I believe they should). Besides all that, I griddled out today on my 36" Blackstone for my family on my Birthday. Made artisan pizzas. And then directly after, I watched CJ'S FIRST COOKING SHOW (sang in the correct melody). Always enjoy your & Nate's show. Keep it up Bros!
My sister lives in Albuquerque and makes green chili stew way different. It’s just hamburger garlic onion potatoes corn and fresh green chilis and chicken broth. It’s really good. Yours looks good too
I TOTALLY dig how Ethan incorporated a “music” touch into the video…with the exception of it being the Foo Fighters…Ethan next time perhaps incorporate some Mudvayne, Pantera, OR Lorna Shore buddy!!
Got to admit I definitely enjoy both of y’all buttttt stay together one with out the other couldn’t survive ( slowly getting away from gridl’n and going to short cooking. That being said I’ve made both two winners ma ma’s always win 😂 PS I’m a old fart twisted and can’t wait till next one out🤪
My Momma made the best King Ranch Chicken!! It should be great on the Blackstone now that you guys have incorporated a 'Vessel'. No way you could make it better than her!!! Hint Hint
So I just purchased the hatch chili and cheddar seasoning from black stone… can you do some kind of dish or two with it please, maybe teach Nate something
The one thing I notice in both chili recipes is neither had chipotles in adobo sauce. Not sure who I would give the nod to, I guess I would have to make them both first but both looked interesting.🔔🍺
You boys chili recipes look fantastic. However, did you know. Ethan's comparison with the guitar and drums was first defined by Johnny Cash. His signature acoustic guitar rhythm was based on a snare and bass drum. . So......there's that.
CJ I apologize for leaving so many comments bud…I was commenting as I watched…this chili dish seems totally delicious…awesome job! I haven’t watched and commented on some time now…it’s great to see the trio(you, Ethan, and Nate) are still doing awesome stuff together! My wife and I appreciate you guys! Talk to ya on Instagram soon…hopefully
You guys have to try your chili over spaghetti it is a Cincinnati thing, and don't give me a Nah Dude, you put hominy 🤮 in yours. Yes, and top it with onions and shredded cheese. JUST DO IT!... Billy Madison
What the?!? Spaghetti??? Ok ok I won’t say nah dude, I’ll just be thinking it. Lol but this has similar components of Nate’s Chili, but Green Chile Stew just hits better! Even still, I’d try that version of chili over spaghetti!
Lol I count two, but who’s counting? I’ve used it often. But I like to show how you can use the griddle top if you don’t have a side burner like this one.
@@CJ_Frazier 4 words...OK. If you do a video frying fish using the side burner, there won't be any money. But when you die, on your deathbed you will receive total consciousness.
Uh....No!!! Potatoes, Hominy, pinto beans......What the hell were you making.....certainly not Chili.... I wasn't crazy about Nates spaghetti sauce he called chili but my friend this is not chili. "Chili is a type of stew often made with some combination of peppers, beans, meat, tomatoes, and spices" nowhere does is say potatoes. As purists would have it, traditional red (chili con carne) hasn't changed much over the years. It still consists of meat, red chili peppers, and spices - no beans, rice, pasta, or other fillers, aside from vegetables, according to ICS criteria.

CJ i am likin' the Green Chili Stew. But the acid of the tomatoes are not good to cook in aluminum as it can leach aluminum into the stew to my understanding. And because aluminum is a concern towards getting Alzheimer's disease i offer this tip. Try a stainless steel steam table trays/pans, you can get them in different sizes at a restaurant supply store or even amazon has them. They can also be use as basting domes I use a heavy duty 60 lbs strenght Neodymium Round magnets attached to a knob on handle (depending uoon size). Do to heat I don't want the pan coming lose easily and getting burned so I use the stronger pull magnet it is hard to pull off so just slide it to the edge to pull it off. Then you can remove the knob/handle and you can return it to a pan for other uses. If you get the deep ones they are great for deep frying. Disadvantage they will have to be cleaned as the are not like the throw away Aluminum pans I know. So it becomes a three for in one basting dome, cooking/frying and serving pan. And then you don't have to be concerned about the aluminum leeching into the food. Also if you need some block ice the can be use as large ice trays. Just once frozen let set a few minute to come lose from the pan. I like it for my coolers as it thaws out a lot slower.
Absolutely awesome stew CJ thanks for sharing ❤️❤️❤️
