    I might have to copy this rig piece by piece this is exactly what I was looking for for vmount options but I love your idea of quick release for the camera itself! Definitely going to look into doing that myself

    Beautiful and compact! :)
    Maybe check out the 15mm quick release system by proaim - its a bit quirky, but minimizes the height of the camera by a little bit

      Cheers! Interesting, yeah I'll check that one out, the one by Tilta was the other baseplate I was comparing to which works well with the cage

    Best rig ive seen so far. Too many people want to add all this extra crap to their rig. This is the perfect balance, thanks man

    I think you forgot the ring adapter to fit the mat box on the lens because I ordered what you have in your bio and can’t fit the Matt box on

      My matte box came with the ring adapter, same one that was linked

    Thanks for sharing this! Do you ever put a shoulder pad on and run it as a shoulder rig?

    • @kirkmihelakos
      @kirkmihelakos  8 месяцев назад

      Cheers! I haven't quite yet, but great idea! All the handheld work I do with it has been on an easy rig or cinesaddle, but I do plan on running it like that soon

    Love this rig, trying to build the baseplate part without the quick release, but the screws don't seem long enough to connect the baseplate to the camera through the cage, how did you work around this?

    • @kirkmihelakos
      @kirkmihelakos  4 месяца назад

      Hey mate I made it work, it was a tight fit, but all connected ok in the end through a bit of trial and error. are you trying to replicate this exactly or are you excluding a piece?

    • @ninortiz9448
      @ninortiz9448 4 месяца назад

      @@kirkmihelakos I'm excluding the quick release system, but that seems to come with the same size screws anyways. It seems like I'd just need longer 1/4-20s so i figured I'd ask and see if you got any, but if you made it work then shit maybe I just shouldn't exclude the quick release 😭

    • @kirkmihelakos
      @kirkmihelakos  4 месяца назад

      Yeah look you might be running into an alignment problem with the screws and the tilta cage, they don't work well together on their own with the baseplate on it's own, or at least I couldn't get it to, trial and error I guess!

    Hi mate,
    I'm looking to get an ND filter for my Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens. Can someone confirm if the correct filter size is 58mm? I'd appreciate any recommendations for good ND filters as well. Thanks!

      Hey mate, which lens do you have specifically? Is it the L lens or which one? You should be able to find that on a specs page!
