      @Ronny Pamper Thank you for your reply... I'm from Sweden... The Swedish word for an axe like that is "bila", pronounces, hm, "beela" and had one purpose and one purpose only...Chop of heads 😁

    Another awesome restoration friend. I’m going with pig dispatcher or it was used to separate large pieces of meat. The blade looked worn down some closer to butt of the handle leads me to think it has cut som hard stuff in it’s time. Started restoring an old draw shave yesterday. Great video as always friend. 👍👍

      То есть какой то криворук не мог прислюнявить сваркой 30 лет назад? Или 10, или 5? Там же явно видно что этот привареный обрубок прилеплен ни к селу ни к городу. Один нормальный удар либо он слетит с древка, либо отвалится от основания

    🤣 I love how most people here seem to think this was some centuries old axe, looks like something I would have made as a teen because I was board from a piece of extra metal laying around. IE the stick welded attach point and screws. Although props for taking someone’s toy and turning it into the real thing!

      Я тоже подумал: "что это за топор такой"?🙇‍♂️ Это какая-то хрень была, типо как для шинковки капусты перед засолкой или что-то из этой серии! Причём сделанная на скорую руку!🤷🏻‍♂️ А большинство комментаторов прям прониклись - "средневековый топор" и всё такое!😂😂😂

      Right you are ! I don't know why people believe that it would be centuries old, when nothing points to that. People probably believe, that if it's nordic, or from Northern Sweden, it must be some remnant from the medieval ages. When everybody should see clearly, that it's a fairly new "axe", made especially to look like that, left out in the elements for a while, to rust and to look old and battered. I wouldn't be surprised if Martin built it himself and then left it out to rust for a few months or so. Definitely not "RARE", I'm sure it's the only one, made especially for this video.

    Great video sir! My guess is that it was for chopping something rather soft, as I think that hitting anything hard would put a lot of shear stress on the rivets.

    You got scammed bro. Those are modern welds holding the tang onto the blade. That thing was made new probably in the last 10 years and then intentionally rusted to make it look old.

    every time I come to channel, get something wonderful out of it. Except that one time, where you needed an break bar and an pipe to crack an nut from an bolt. Still got the job done. But, that was then, this is meow. I'm glad I watched this Norse stuff, is awesome and seeing one restore was the best eye candy to watch.     It looks like finishing axe for log cabin outer walls. The curved handle helps doing the job and the blade needs to flippable to other side. This is not a restoration job for it is not usable for its original purpose, but it is a decoration. Nice video! Thank you.

    It came out verry cool looking, liked it. And using an anvil on top of a Ikea step is a new one for me. Because I would like to see much more video's of your work,I would ask you never to put down a grinder with the blade down on the workbench ever again! Cheers.
