Glad to see an award show hosted by people that are actually a part of the communities that the awards are about. The results will, of course, end up being skewed by the voters being biased for their game, making some of these categories feel more like a popularity contest than an actual measure of how good the games are in the categories presented. It's unfortunate that the big and popular games are almost guaranteed to beat out less popular games that are more deserving. If voting between 5 options, and a player hasn't ever played several of them, it's kind of hard for the smaller games to get many votes.
I feel like this is more of a popular vote. I mean, I agree with some and some others deserves the award, but seeing mostly only the top titles, it doesn't feel right to me, when I know some other gachas (and others that weren't included) bested those titles in that category. But anyway, congrats to the winners!
tbh if you think about it , if a game wins by 30% of the votes that means that 70% will probably disagree so criticizm for that will always happen , and also it has some popularity thing in it , but we have to note that these games are popular for a reason . they are good games

It demonstrated that providing a high-investment gacha, made available to everyone in almost every plaform *for free* can achieve a significant success. *- Love and Deepspace* Arguably one of the most intricate otome game in the gacha industry. Showed that otome games can transcend beyond simple dating sims, and is a living testament that "male characters actually sells". *- Wuthering Wave* Pushed the boundary of graphical quality and player-devs interaction, wuwa embodies the fact that "competition brings excellelence". It is also one of the first gacha to truly reach AAA level of visual quality. If this happens, i think one of the most likely contender for next year spot would be AK: Endfield for its sandbox system.
@@stioorg yeah that's fair. Now that I think about it, such influence over the industry deserves a place in a "hall of fame" kinda thing rather than an annual award.
Oooof, no Raid Shadow Legends? I am pretty new to gacha games myself but nice show. It's good to see communities coming together for genres that don't have their platform.

PGR is generous but it’s also more restrictive with its team and character building. There are so many cases where a meta character really isn’t meta until you pull their 6 star weapon and/or have an invested amplifier and tank of the same element. It’s a bit less generous when you think about all the hidden prerequisites. That makes a banner’s true cost sometimes double the cost of a single 60 pity.
Probably just a consequence of WuWa being a much bigger and more popular game than PGR. Hard for a game to win votes if players haven't tried it. I was genuinely surprised that WuWa won most generous gacha when its gacha system is just "Genshin but more generous." I'm sure there are other games that have a better system than that.
@@artOVtrolling Not really, the newer characters are morso tied to the pets now. Besides, the difference between pulling a weapon/SS+ is like 7 more PC tokens. @MauveButterfly Ofc, it's just funny to see. I'm glad Wuwa is getting attention, PGR has just always been in a rough spot due to advertising, and it makes me sad. I love them both, though. I have been playing both religiously

Is this award exclusive for EN RUclips viewers? I couldn't find any news about this on Instagram, bilibili, or even reddit. And how does this event include the Chinese and Japanese, who makes up a very significant portion of gacha gaming community? Does this award cover region-locked games?
Lore is a hard one IMO because if you look at it as a stand alone I can definitely see GI winning because it’s been around longer. However if you look at the whole picture HSR has a lot more connections to HI3rd and the rest of the Honkai verse then GI and if you add that in both as combined lore and or for future potential lore i personally think it’s a lot more grand then GI currently. Also HSR and HI3rd body GI in music both games have so many better songs and OST it isn’t fair.
@@ankurraina2730 well when one game has about a 40%~50%+ larger fan bases that’s kind of the issue here. And of course music is subjective but I’ll admit GI has great music and a lot of amazing OST songs however none can reach the level of the top tracks. What mean if you make a Top 50 list GI would dominate 50~20 but HSR and HI3rd would take the top 15 for the most part.
I don't know about Genshin Impact having the best music of ALL games... and WuWa the best gacha system when there are games with no 50/50 for characters and earlier guaranteed. I'm sure the votes are from people that doesn't play that many gacha games. The rest is mostly ok
It's impossible to play all gacha games. Genshin music is still pretty good though, it mixes classic and modern music well together and has a spin on different cultures on each regions which i doubt many gachas do, of course i could be wrong because like i sad, is impossible to play or listen to every music which is really a problem on the awards itself.
@@Toonlink003 I don't know. Maybe it's different taste but for me good music is something I would want to hear outside the game... I would never thought about hearing signora, scara etc OST in my free time. I don't feel personally engaged with Genshin music (specially in the climax parts of the story) more than Arknights, Nikke, PGR or even Honkai. I'm not saying that Lyrics = better, but I just like the versatility of other games like Arknights with the orchestal, rock, jazz, electronic, rap etc (If we're talking about all the music) I'm not saying that Genshin has bad music, no way. Their ambiental music is phenomenal and I'm not surprised that people have Genshin at the top of their list
The only true gacha moment there is Walpur night with no chance of buying in the first night but at same point you already got so many lunacy from not spending it on banners because you can buy all IDs and E.G.O. you want
Can say with limbus company as well every week the devs keep giving currency every week to pull the gacha and the grind for the in game currency is forgiving and easy
Brst gacha includes also the gachas that didnt come out this year and you only take into account how good their updates were in 2024 so it includes all games Gacha of the year includes only 2024 games
im surprised epic sevel lost to db dokan in best turn based i think its just ip bias. also epic seven not being in the gacha system since the character is guaranteed no 50/50 like the other nominies
@@Aegisu in case of Arknights and PGR they are both have exceptional lore and world setting. how do people say that hoyo games have good lore if they like clicking through everything that much?
its a popularity contest, most of these votes are done by ppl who only play hoyo games or wuwa. so games like arknights even tho have btr lore will always come up short. honestly they shld only be able to vote if theyve played the other nominated games
@@dolgorukysvyatoslav Don't know about the lore of PGR or Arknights but Genshin and HSR lore and worldbuilding is good, whether people skip it or not thats another argument. i would agree that in genshin/hsr the main story is not as good tho, i didn't like how they concluded penaconny and the previous patches gave a lot to be desired, genshin is a mix bag.
Honkai impact 3rd should've been nominee and winner for story telling feels bad lot's people haven't experienced it Hsr does a friction of what Honkai 3rd does in term of story
I played HI3 for couple of months and I think it's biggest flaw is presentation, especially for older content. The story is solid but I couldn't get myself to slough through the gameplay so I gave up around chapter 13-14. Animated parts (usually chapter endings, cliffhangers) were bangers but the chapter stages with repetitive recolored 3-5 same maps killed it for me.
@@grgotoplak1127 if you find the combat stages bad you haven't played fgo ig? Hi3 is atleast voiced and end cutscenes each chapters give motivation to keep going unlike fgo tbh I don't find hi3 stages bad anymore it just nostalgia atp for me before I didn't liked it too if a old game does things the old way I don't find problem in it
Tbf, lore-hunting is a very time consuming experience. No one would truly have "consumed enough lore" to make a fair judgement on the matter. In the end, it's a popularity poll. Though, I am an avid lore enthusiast myself and while Nikke's lore is very fun to explore...it's not necessarily deep when compared to other nominees. Hoyo games set up their lore far before their games even launched, while Arknight offers an incredibly diverse lore through the unique settings of each nation and its extensive cast of characters.
@@vr4893 I’m going to be honest i don’t know anything about arknights lore to give a judgement on, but that part about Hoyo having the lore planned at the beginning of the game is just not true because they actually had a 5 year roadmap for the game at first but due to it’s popularity it went up to 10 years, along with several rewrites in the story, the most famous one being inazumas head writer leaving. Also no offense but you’re just wrong about Nikke not being that deep.
@@joshuapatterson8269welp, back again to my first point. No one will be qualified enough. Including us. Also, I was referring to how hoyo games have the benefit of belonging to a long standing Honkai series (even Genshin to some extent) that is even further supported through various media (e.g. Genshin's 2018 manga) We can agree on one thing though, Nikke's lore *is* deep. ..but comparatively speaking? ...to other nominees? No offense brother, but you know that's not what i meant. Please don't nitpick between the lines. But again, maybe it's far deeper than I know. Maybe I have only grazed the tip of the iceberg of Nikke's lore. Though, it's kinda hard to believe that a 2 year old game has enough time to develop their lore to the level of a long standing series no? It's a matter of time really.
Wow who was that first presenter? He looked very cool and very handsome!

@@The_CodFish69 To each their own I guess
I'm not saying that Lyrics = better, but I just like the versatility of other games like Arknights with the orchestal, rock, jazz, electronic, rap etc (If we're talking about all the music)
I'm not saying that Genshin has bad music, no way. Their ambiental music is phenomenal and I'm not surprised that people have Genshin at the top of their list
@@pooof6605 I honestly expected HSR to be nominated from Hoyoverse games instead of GI.
limbus literally gives ALL the rewards for $10 once every 3+ months...
The only true gacha moment there is Walpur night with no chance of buying in the first night but at same point you already got so many lunacy from not spending it on banners because you can buy all IDs and E.G.O. you want
Limbus Companyyyyyy
True. Genshin is sht. The banner and rate up is sht. Everything is sht when u are at end-game.
Most generous gacha and brown dust 2 not even mentioned ???? wtf ??????
Can say with limbus company as well every week the devs keep giving currency every week to pull the gacha and the grind for the in game currency is forgiving and easy
Imagine not mentioning Honkai Impact for the best plot and lore.
What's the difference between best gacha and gacha of the year? Why not just make it one category?
Brst gacha includes also the gachas that didnt come out this year and you only take into account how good their updates were in 2024 so it includes all games
Gacha of the year includes only 2024 games
@@stioorg next year I would suggest maybe calling it "best new gacha" or something like that to avoid confusion. Great job on the show tho!
Best lore and HI3rd wasn't in? Wtf.
Part 2 lore kinda sucks
FGO should win best storytelling
I disagree with Genshin having best music.
im surprised epic sevel lost to db dokan in best turn based i think its just ip bias. also epic seven not being in the gacha system since the character is guaranteed no 50/50 like the other nominies
Limbus company not being nominated for best story feels like a geneva convention violation
At the end of the day, it's popularity picks, not deserved picks.
Tis very true, my genuine comrade
Its truly insane that unironically zzz is top 3
Not many people have a good reading comprehension to understand Limbus.
Normies want waifu and fanservice instead of quality plot.
its brown dust 2 that is the most generous gacha game and its not even close to others.
why from all the CCs...you've to choose Stix? he does toxicity for any game daily lol
Hoyo games being in 1st and 2nd place in lore category is... absurd. Ain't no way they're flying over literal visual novellas worth millions of words
More words =/= Good lore.
Yo, Nikke music is miles above every other gacha game. I’m mega peeved about Nikke not winning that category.
Hi3 is atleast voiced and end cutscenes each chapters give motivation to keep going unlike fgo tbh I don't find hi3 stages bad anymore it just nostalgia atp for me before I didn't liked it too if a old game does things the old way I don't find problem in it
How the hell does Genshin have better music than Nikke?
I'm somehow exited
best music award was so bad.
I exist 😂Genshin solo❤
Arknights losing at music category? Nah no fking way🤣
16:39 The fact that nikkes isn’t a nominee is insulting
Genshin's 2018 manga)
We can agree on one thing though, Nikke's lore *is* deep.
..but comparatively speaking?
...to other nominees?
No offense brother, but you know that's not what i meant. Please don't nitpick between the lines.
But again, maybe it's far deeper than I know. Maybe I have only grazed the tip of the iceberg of Nikke's lore. Though, it's kinda hard to believe that a 2 year old game has enough time to develop their lore to the level of a long standing series no? It's a matter of time really.
Isn't exos heroes long gone??
best gacha system should have been won by snowbreak imo
❤❤❤
A lot of games that should have been nominated swapped out for games that had no business being there, such are game awards I guess.
Right?
Even official ones are just popularity contest.
It is what it is.
16:58
Me too
💙💙
PGR not be even nominated to best gacha system is a robbery at play daylight
not many people play pgr i guess
Limbus was robbed
So was Arknights. But world building is a more subjective metric so I'm less peeved
❤
pgr not in best mobile experience ...ok ,not rigged ..
nikke most generous kek
Limbus company not getting best lore or storytelling? RIGGED😭
3rd yups
i see stix i report for violent or disgusting content
33:05 Pathetic simp bait
