I’m not sure what these comments are on about. Subarus love for Rem is NOT platonic. The anime cut out a lot of content and inner monologue that still happens in the story. In the carriage, Subaru was not outing Rem. He was seriously about to ask Emilia if he could take on a polygamous relationship between him, Rem and Emilia if Emilia agrees to it. That’s why he says “so…” but is cut off by Emilia and her “who is Rem”. The WN that covers his thoughts before this conversation. “However, the existence of Rem, while leaving his affection towards Emilia unchanging, had become just as large to him and remained in his heart. And so Subaru made a clear choice. It may be unsightly to become serious all of a sudden, but since he was unable to give up on his thoughts towards either party, He decided to take both Emilia and Rem.” That’s straight from the WN. But the anime doesn’t do a good job of covering this but it still was Subarus intention and is his intentions going forward
I'll never understand those takes because even without novel knowledge, his reaction to losing her here in s2, or the part of the Trial this shit isn't a mystery lmao. He was literally out there asking her to run away with him and people are still like "it's platonic!"
@@Link10103 it’s because they always think back to episode 18 representing how Subaru feels about Rem compared to Emilia. Everyone takes Subaru saying he loves Emilia as him rejecting Rem. Even if it meant that at the time. It’s like people don’t think he can change? Just from the anime. I don’t know how people look at episode 21 and don’t get that Subaru literally acknowledges he holds Rem and Emilia in his heart. Even this episode his whole mindset has changed. It’s not just about saving Emilia now. it’s “I won’t lose Emilia or Rem” but the further he gets into the story the only place they go back to is episode 18 to confirm how he feels for her.
Yep, I agree it's not platonic at all. He's also saying he has #1 and #2 and also the conversation about rem wanting to be by his side and subaru asking if she would allow him to have her even if he has emilia is basically a conversation about proposing to be a concubine or wife #2 lol. Also they didn't show it but Subaru said to Emilia how his feelings to towards Rem is the same feelings he has towards her.

During the fight with the sin archbishops, some of the "Iron Fang" members who fight under Anastasia's flag realized the danger, left the battlefield, called for reinforcements, and returned. That kept the losses to a minimum. Of course, there were still many despite that. At this time, Subaru was prepared to fight Petelgeuse again to bring back Rem and the others. After Petelgeuse gets to him, I think he was relieved that the save point had moved to after the White Whale was defeated, but it was actually a point of no return. At that point in time, he could only save one or the other of Emilia and Rem. Puck here is going against his own contract by revealing information, just as he was in "Bonds of Ice", so he was really walking a tightrope. This turned into a moment where you can really tell that Crusch-san has "changed", and I think Iguchi-san was just wonderful. It goes without saying, but Felis has been pushed to his breaking point. Crusch-san has forgotten what must not be forgotten, after all. Oh, that, too, is part of Ex1, "The Dream the Lion King Saw", perhaps? It was part of Puck's explanation, too, but there are different patterns, where having one's 'name' eating by "Gluttony" removes you from the memories of those around you, having your 'memory' eaten leaves you with memory loss, and having both eaten cuts you off from the world. It's sort of like 'table manners'. Felis' voice is so cute I could die, but it's also cute that out of the knights, he has a personality about as bad as Subaru. Even if memories are stolen, that person's true nature can't be stolen. Or so some think, but the author thinks that memories are the basis that form a person, so it could be thought of as a person's death. What Hiluluk said is correct. When someone is forgotten, that's when they die. (note: One Piece reference?) Ah, for the moment, this has nothing to do with the "Nameless Knight". Crusch-san is the only one that Felis believes in. All he can count on besides that is the strength of his own healing magic, so his heart would be broken if he couldn't believe that he could bring Crusch-san back to normal. Hence, there's no reason to continue the alliance with Subaru and the others. Crusch-san's core memories have disappeared, so she's chosen feminine clothing for herself that matches her appearance; you can see the influence of her memory there. Feli-chan didn't chose the dress for her. At this time, Wilhelm-san spoke of continuing the alliance for the purpose of Crusch's vengeance, but the reasoning in his heart was something else. On Wilhelm-san's shoulder, he had a wound received as a parting gift from his wife Thearesia's "Blessing of the Reaper", but after his wife's death, the wound that was supposed to have healed began to ache. There was something there that was involved in his wife's death, is what Wilhelm saw. Incidentally, Subaru Natsuki is good at waking up, but he's fatally bad at going to sleep. On the other hand, Emilia is good at going to sleep, but bad at waking up. I really love scenes like "I'm going to cry a little". So I end up doing them. Since the time that Rem fell into this state, Subaru hasn't been able to cry even once. At last, he's able to cry. If the last time that he swore to take everything back from a sin archbishop, after having everything taken away from him, was the end of episode 16, I think it's a really good feeling if you compare the difference in his expression between then and now. Hey hey hey hey, wasn't that 30 minutes fast!? The reliable opening and ending missing! My apologies! Look forward to it next time! And with that, thanks for Re: Zero episode 26! Imagine it taking four years to finish off arc three! In truth, arc three isn't actually finished. In the printed edition, volume nine ended off here, and some of it is in arc four, in volume ten that came next. Ah, at last we reach the end of this part. As well, I think those who watched this time have noticed. Regulus Corneas is 'Akira Ishida'!! Lai Batenkaitos is 'Kengo Kawanishi'!! Imagine that. We went and gave handsome vocal cords to the sin archbishops, who haven't got a single good point about them...! Incidentally, in the recording sessions, there's direction given for new characters along the lines of 'It's this sort of character', but Ishida-san was told 'He's the worst scum in the story', and Kawanishi-san was told 'He's the lowest filth in the story'. They really pulled off scum and filth. Applause. And so, it's the grand debut of the sin archbishop combo, and and the great loss and determination that leads us to the close of arc three. And next week, episode 27... let's meet again at the opening of arc four! Well then, thanks for joining us!! However, now that I think about it, given the sin archbishops handsome vocal cords started with Petelgeuse's Matsukoka-san, so maybe we can say it's Matsuoka-san's fault? The author queries thus.
26:06 Four really. Pride was mentioned as not being occupied, and Envy doesn't get an archbishop because that would require somebody to somehow usurp Satella, who's still alive.
Sad and ironic fact that shows how unlucky they were: Crusch and Rem were going to encounter Lye no matter what since he was looking for them, they ran into Regulus purely out of coincidence since Regulus wasn't specifically searching for them he just happened to be there. He also didn't intend to fight them but the guy who takes literally everything as a personal offense is willing to kill anyone who even blinks in his direction 😂😂 poor Rem she had the worst luck imaginable running into two overpowered psychopaths, one of them by accident 😂
17:30 “I don’t understand why they (the Witch’s Cult) wants to get rid of her (Emilia).” I don’t know if they want to get rid of her… if you remember season one, Betelgeuse talked about using Emilia as a vessel. Of course, I don’t know if it matters if she’s alive or dead to be that vessel.
They wanted to test Emilia to see if she was a worthy vessel for the Witch. If not, Emilia was disposable to them, and they'd just wait for Satella to be reborn at a later time.
Subaru do love Rem as much as Emilia, that's why he feel guilty and perplex about the situation when he have to tell Emilia what hapen in the carriage.
@@greed1925 I think you are talking about the If Sloth route, not the lust route. But yeah you are on point, we even see glimpse of it in the episode at the moment Rem is swallowed by Gluttony (She though about what could her life had been with Subaru and the image she see are directly If Sloth route)
emilia need it to know about rem because the anime cut the moment where subaru confess to rem and tell her he would try to convince emilia to let her be in the relantionship
13:20 I'm so glad you noticed that knife.B, because in the light novel, he uses knife to kill himself in this scene rather than out in the yard with a broken sword..
Actually The writer of Re zero didn't realize how Popular how Rem would be, and I heard she was suppose to die possibly during the Run in with the 2 Sin Archbishops and I think he changed his mind since she is Still alive :) And now she has Sleeping Beauty Disease I'm Very Hopeful!
13:21 I'm surprised you noticed the knife there LOL. Alright since they completely removed it anyways I'm just gonna say it. That knife right there was used by subaru to kill himself to go back and see if he can still save rem. Since they removed that scene (I'm not sure if they changed that from the Light Novel too, but it exists in the Web Novel ), I guess they still showed it in a suspicious angle just for novel readers to notice.
Yes, it is much stronger, Infinity doesn't work if Gojo can't calculate the vectors of an object (in short, if you are faster than Rokugan's perception or exert a force that exceeds Rokugan's calculation limits, you bypass Infinity easily, gojo explained these weaknesses of the vectors at the end of ep 2 of the second season and there were already characters who exploited this weakness of infinity), the power of regulous does not have physical weaknesses like infinity, the weakness of this power is linked to other things.
@@greed1925 Gojo was not talking about Infinity when explaining the vectors, he was talking about calculating the usage of Limitless Blue to minimize collateral damage, and how that's a real pain (when he was a teen). Infinity doesn't require constant calculation of other objects using Six Eyes, it only requires him to activate the technique, and Six Eyes allows to him use minimal resources to keep it up. He then programmed the technique to automatically choose certain targets to go through Infinity based on if they are dangerous or not. Infinity cannot be conquered by speed or power feats, it requires technical hacks that bypass the technique.
@@Halofreakanoid No, my nobleman. allow me to explain by giving you the chapters, mukagen (or limitless) is just one and unique technique that is based on atomic interference of space control (this is explained by miguel in JJK 0 on chapter 4), mukagen has 3 activations, which are the neutral mukagen, the lapse of mukagen (which is blue) and the reversal of mukagen (which is red), let's focus on neutral mukagen (which is mugen/infinity). In chapter 69, gojo explains exactly what I said about infinity, it creates a convergence of infinite series of numbers to slow down the objects that come close to him, and all of this is possible to be controlled because of the rokugan (because the rokugan senses the object and with the precise control of cursed energy the gojo can slow down the object and Gojo himself says that he can do that because he has good eyes, that is, he was referring to Rokugan.), if you read this chapter he also explains how the mukagen lapse (which is blue) works, he states that by amplifying negative numbers he creates the blue attraction effect (once again proving that mukagen is a single technique with different activations, toji also explains this in chapter 75 or ep 4 froms eason 2 of the anime), which is why it has been explained several times that it is not possible to control mukagen with precision without Rokugan (as it is Rokugan that senses objects and distinguishes them, this is proven in chapter 76 where gojo explains how he left mukagen active automatically using rokugan to distinguish objects based on mass, shape and speed to distinguish their level of danger, that is, it still needs the calculation of vectors for the technique to work, the difference is that this has become automatic but it still has limits as the technique is not invincible and the Rokugan also does not have infinite perception, I will cite facts that prove this now). Now from here it's a SPOILER, read only if you already follow the manga. I mentioned in my first comment that other characters have already exploited this weakness of infinity in the manga and I'm going to mention which ones they are, the first of them is Kenjaku, he made a trap for Gojo in chapter 221, he states that using tectonic plates he would be able to kill gojo, as we saw gojo managed to escape before being crushed, but his clothes were torn precisely because the mukagen couldn't handle slowing down a massive object as that exceeds the limits of calculations and control of cursed energy that the technique can handle, the other character who did this was sukuna, in chapter 224 he cut a building and forced gojo to enter it because infinity wouldn't work in the building, gojo confirms this in chapter 228 because he says that sukuna lost the advantage of attacking using buildings because of the barrier that gojo's expansion creates (thus separating sukuna and gojo from the real world, and in any case sukuna could no longer attack using the buildings because he was using the 10 shadows as we saw, so he could not use plus the sanctuary to cut and take advantage of the buildings), and just to finish we have confirmation from sukuna and shouko in the respective chapters 250 and 261 that to control the mukagen it is necessary to have the rokugan. You can check the chapters I mentioned to confirm everything I said.
@@Halofreakanoidwell, technically infinity can be bypassed due to sheer force. To be exact, not infinity itself, but Gojo using infinity. You see, there is no way to bypass infinity by sheer physique, but combatant with serious physical supremacy can break domain expansion while it's being casted. Cancelling domain would cause technique to burn out, which would leave Gojo without infinity for some time. If we talk about opponent with formidable supremacy in speed and strength - it's more than enough.
@@ДенисБулдовский-и5ш Limitless is the technique that gets burnt out, and it happens from activating his domain, not from someone destroying the domain. It just burns out after the domain technique is resolved. Even after Limitless Void on Jogo, his technique was burnt out. If Gojo never activates his domain, limitless will always be in use. Gojo being overwhelmed in a domain duel and having his technique burnt out afterwards is different than Infinity itself being overpowered.
It's a scene from the "sloth what if" an alternative path of what would have happened if Rem and Subaru ran away together after Rems confession. It's a very bitter sweet story as Rems mental health during that life is pretty awful as she knows about Rams death and is constantly feeling guilty about leaving her to die. Subaru also goes all the way back to the last check point in the capital when he dies of old age and lives through his life with Rem over and over hence "sloth"
If Re-Zero were a 12-episode romance, then Rem would be the best girl! But Re-Zero will have 8-10 seasons! And no Komi will like watching Rem, who runs like a dog after Subaru! Rem fulfilled her role, that's all! As Emilia said in arc 8, Subaru is only mine!
This anime is based on a book series. The producers have nothing to do with the writing of Rem or Emilia or why Rem had fallen to Gluttony. And Emilia was always a good character, you'll come to see that as the season progresses.
The writer didn’t even know Rem would be as popular as she was, he knew people would like her but not to the extent it went. Emilia was always intended to be the main heroine and focus of the story. And thats not romantically btw, shes a pretty overall important character regardless of Subaru. There were no “producers”, if anything they would have forced the author to keep Rem within the story to sell more merch. Him doing that was actually a BAD marketing decision, its just the story he wanted to tell. I was sad about Rem being nommed tho This first seasons content was written by the author practically by himself, no editors, no producers. Just a guy making a story and uploading it to the internet as a web novel. He didn’t even have an artist to do designs for him, it was all just text and occasional fanart. Funnily enough, Petelgeuse was actually the first fanart made for Re Zero! Should show you how niche the series was when it started out
Honestly tho, they're the ones who took out Emilia first. Emilia is the female lead, yet her moments and screen time is just a fraction of Rem's. Rem's screen time literally dwarfed Emilia's. Season 2 is now more on Emilia to balance it out.

Good thing Rem has an IF just for her, on the lust route she even gets pregnant (although the author regrets writing that route XD).
@@greed1925 I think you are talking about the If Sloth route, not the lust route. But yeah you are on point, we even see glimpse of it in the episode at the moment Rem is swallowed by Gluttony (She though about what could her life had been with Subaru and the image she see are directly If Sloth route)
@@fievetdamien8402 well I'm talking about both, in sloth IF they had children (and this IF is dedicated to Rem), in lust if she got pregnant too.
@@greed1925 oh my bad, i didn't remembered lust route correctly in that case. Need to read it again i guess.
@@fievetdamien8402 uh... no you dont☠️☠️☠️ that shi scarred me
emilia need it to know about rem because the anime cut the moment where subaru confess to rem and tell her he would try to convince emilia to let her be in the relantionship
new season and new farah video hype! well done
They focus on the knife cuz in the LN he killed himself several times with it
9:31 REM future if
10:14 In the books the anime is based on, he did love her.
"who do tou want"
Im dead lol
6:30 Yeah, ....pretty much a stronger infinity from what I've heard
@@Halofreakanoid
No, my nobleman. allow me to explain by giving you the chapters, mukagen (or limitless) is just one and unique technique that is based on atomic interference of space control (this is explained by miguel in JJK 0 on chapter 4), mukagen has 3 activations, which are the neutral mukagen, the lapse of mukagen (which is blue) and the reversal of mukagen (which is red), let's focus on neutral mukagen (which is mugen/infinity).
Gojo being overwhelmed in a domain duel and having his technique burnt out afterwards is different than Infinity itself being overpowered.
nobody i’ve watched notices the flash before rem gets eaten, it shows rem as an adult with a baby and subaru
Subaru also goes all the way back to the last check point in the capital when he dies of old age and lives through his life with Rem over and over hence "sloth"
the story leading us to think Subaru is Pride, i mean it's not wrong but when we think again, that's Subaru fit for every dealy sins
I was sad about Rem being nommed tho
This first seasons content was written by the author practically by himself, no editors, no producers. Just a guy making a story and uploading it to the internet as a web novel. He didn’t even have an artist to do designs for him, it was all just text and occasional fanart. Funnily enough, Petelgeuse was actually the first fanart made for Re Zero! Should show you how niche the series was when it started out
16:33 I am super confused about you asking about Emilia. Is she doing something suspicious?
You can reaction Makein Too Many Lossing Heroin ? I think it is a good show anime romcom this year :v
Honestly tho, they're the ones who took out Emilia first. Emilia is the female lead, yet her moments and screen time is just a fraction of Rem's. Rem's screen time literally dwarfed Emilia's. Season 2 is now more on Emilia to balance it out.
React to the promised neverland. It’s so wholesome 😂😂
2:01 - 12:33
REACT TO LORD OF THE MYSTERIES trailer its quite literally better than most piece of fiction including AOT, SL,Orv, anything u can think of.
I mean isn't subaru his own man, can't he choose who he loves? You can care about a person, without having romantic feelings.
You people keep talking about Rem... Who's Rem ?
I think those ar the only 2 so its ok. And good nto to watch the Wat if yet spoiler's.

I don't recall anyone ever saying that Emilia is a reincarnation of the witch? As far as everyone is concerned, the witch is still alive, just sealed.
10:34 He can still care a lot about her while not having romantic feelings.
Yeah but... this is not the case. He has romantic feelings.
I mean subaru does love Rem its not romantic love its a plotonic love. Like it will show with another character this season this series explores all forms of love.
Not true. Subaru loves Rem in a romantic way. Novels are pretty explicit about that.
Ah. The gut punch of a lifetime.
