Hi, thank you so much Jessica!!! This saves me tons of times, and as an urban analytics enthusiast, I'm inspired to dive deeper into three.js ; )All the best!
Thanks. How can I do if the terrain is not flat? I need to make an urban representation of a mountain city, and the terrain is very relevant for study. Regards
Thanks for your teaching ,i have done the same process as yours , but something was wrong : when i gave my file to qgis2three, and use the height as Z, nothing happened , for i can't put figure here, i'd like to know if u can give me a way that i can ask you for help? If u do that, i'll be very grateful!
Is there a place we can download these type of files with complete height data of all buildings/cityscapes of major cities? I use the OSM plugin but quite often the height data is incomplete. Thanks for your help!
Thank you for this informative video. I'm getting a warning that I have to install and use Qt WebEngine view with Qgis2threejs. Qgis version 3.38.2 Grenoble.
Rather than filter out the buildings with height of "-999" wouldn't it make more sense to just use a nominal height? (Say 5 metres). That way you still see the footprint of the building. (You could use an expression like the following to correct it :- if("height_av"
Greetings Can you please provide a sample expression for the expression dialogue for me to extrude my buildings from one of my attributes in my buildings layer? The new version of the plugin only allows you to add expressions. There is no drop down box to simply select an attribute field with the height values. Thanks!
Hi! Could you show us a complete walkthrough to do this based on OSM data from the quickOSM plugin? I'm pretty sure OSM allows us to download buildings and buildings heights but I'm a bit confused about the whole thing.
Hello, basically the process of generating this 3D view using OSM data is the same--instead of using the flood map layer from aurin when you select the layer in the QGIS2threejs plugin, you can select the roof map / roof area layer in OSM (I forgot the exact layer name but if I remember correctly they are called roof area) once you download that / load that layer onto the qgis interface. And if those OSM layer have level data in it (they usually do), then it's the same process to generate the height. You can check this in the table attribute. If some area don't have level data, you can also edit that in in the table attribute. But again, this is kind of a manual work too. We can contribute these roof area drawing or level data straight onto OSM as well.
Where you have got the exact data for the height of buildings from? I use the OSM App in the program QGIS and I get everytime a sheet there are only "NULL" at the row for height in there. I'm a rookie and I've been tinkering now with it for almost 2 weeks 😞.... but no result ! I want to use the the data from Santa Cruz de Tenerife. Do you have any tip for me. I'm looking forward for your answer and I say right now thank you for your support.
@@jannydaggs1715 Based on the information they gave, they exported the file as GLTF and brought it to a website to convert it to .obj file. You can probably google it to find a free file converter :) Hope this helps!
You should find the resource of the dataset first, it can be from Open Street Map or in this case I downloaded it from AURIN. If you find a resource where they store building footprint and building height datasets for georeference, you should be able to download them as shape file to be brought onto QGIS.
Useful plugin for qgis. I used blender GIS before for 3D models, but this is much easier to georeference, and extract useful data. Thanks.

Wow, this is amazing. Thank you for sharing this!! I'm wondering now if it is possible to import the 3d to sketchup... it would be 🤯🤯
If I want to show the relationship between vertical structure and Land Surface Temperature then how it will possible?
Is we can add a building photo over building front to make it more realistic
Greetings

Please feel free to share some information on how you solve it here that might help others who probably are facing the same issue :)
Have a good day!
How can I obtain attribute height data from digitized buildings

@@jessicalupita8710 Hi could you let me know if there's a way to download this file as a 3D file to use in rhino?
@@woodarmstudio Hello, someone saved the file as GLFT then converted it to .obj file. Hope this works for you!
What is the metric of the height that is taken as an input in QGIS? Is it in meters?
It was of a great help

hi
How to add height to the same polygon in the map?
ı can not see proper my buildings layer on exporter why?
How to download shape file of any area that i want . Please help
Great vedio and it was very helpful
Is it normal to not have building average? what do we do in this case?

Hello thanks for the video, I want to export this to a file in 3d format (.obj .3dm .stl or others)..
Is there a way to do that ? ;)

Your Voice is so awesome.........!😍😍😍😍
IS IT IN METERS?
Technically yes it is, they are just in 0.001 scale.
thank you!
Thank you.
thank you!!!
Thank you so much
thanks for this ! - PS Height = pronouced " H - eye -T"
how to download those data
