I liked it a lot. Eugeo felt like such a breeze of fresh air after every single girl falled for Jesus-kun- oh, wait, sorry… I mean KIRITO! Anyway, the fact that Eugeo had Alice as a love interest was so much more interesting then Waifu #65 wanting Kirito’s stick and balls. I’m still salty about it, but at least he wasn’t forgotten about and his death actually mattered to the story and Kirito’s character. Like, Eugeo feels more important to Kirito than Asuna and I find that quite funny and understandable, because at least those 2 have chemistry. Also, the poor guy got cucked so hard by his waifu Alice it’s insane

@@gallenberger1 I know right? It's like only haters decide to talk about it and hence why it's usually portrayed in the negative light. It's far from perfect sure but it's really overhated💔
Eugeo is ultimately my favorite character alongside Sinon. I watched SAO from it's first season and then got turned off by the Alfenheim Online (first part). So, I stopped watching and didn't watch until I finally sat down for Alicization. It was truly something else that it brought me back to the series. I went back and rewatched the previous arcs I was absent for and how it all connected in Alicization and WoU was amazing. Especially the animation popping off as it did. I always tell my friends that if they originally hated SAO, to give Alicization a chance and to not sleep on it.
I was becoming increasingly tired of SAO, to the point where I almost skipped over Alicization. However, this season brought a breath of fresh air with Eugeo’s introduction and story. Something I felt was lacking before was a well-written male companion. Eugeo’s growth, in turn, led to Kirito’s development as well, making this version of him my favorite since season one.
Eugeo was really the gift that keeps on giving. I was always grinning ear to ear when he showed up in the most critical moments, all the way even into War of Underworld. He had a great impact on Alicization
It's crazy how eugeos death impacted kirito so much to the point where kirito was willing to rip out his own heart If asuna and the others weren't there to mentally assist him
Man I love Eugeo so much, I always liked Kirito as well and they definitely needed each other imo. I'm still on COPIUM I'm ngl that Eugeo will come back one day cuz in games Eugeo is still alive but in the anime he's dead, ik they do it alot for other characters but I just feel like it's possible at least I hope he comes back one day man I'm praying.
It was one of my least favorite ones for me (it was still amazing though). It had way too many fight scenes neer the end and scenes like that bore me personally so I struggle to get through re watching them. The first half of the season was pretty good though. The season had incredible art and all the new characters were amazing, the whole premise was good too. I also know that sao is an anime that’s supposed to have a lot of fighting it just got to be too much for me.
I'm so glad he's finally getting the recognition he deserves! He's a fantasticly written character. One of my favorites! I just wish that he got more episodes before he was taken away 😓
Let's be fair, it's more like the creators wanted to make a new anime with a new MC called Eugeo, needed a way to put in Kirito so they could make it a Sword Art Online anime, and went with it. This anime would have done just as great as a standalone one with Kirito being someone else and having less story beats. I think that's why it's better. It's because it allows for a blank slate, a new story (for the most part). It's doesn't need to be SAO (as can be seen by having a practically new MC and sidelining the whole old supportive cast), the season just needed a medium through which to be told. And that medium being SAO was a lucky break for fans.
A thing I really like about SAO as a whole is how much it improves over the first arc, the Aincrad stuff was fine, nothing amazing in it but nothing insultingly awful as the Alfheim one, then on GGO there's Sinon who's a pretty solid character even if her liking Kirito is just there for power fantasy reasons (Which makes sense because I'm pretty sure the author was like 16 when writing this), the Mother's Rosario hits you with a genuinely good story and some tragic stuff and also makes Asuna more of a character rather than just the woman Kirito's with which is a massive positive Then the first movie comes out and it's pretty great, again there's nothing THAT impressive about it like the first season but it's a pretty fun watch and even the character interactions are good, which is something that SAO hadn't done well up to this point, you can feel like the group of friends is, well, a group of friends Then Alicization hits you like a truck with the writing quality whiplash with quite literally everything being great (Until the later half of the second season), you can tell the author has learned in the 15 years he's been doing this stuff And more recently you have the Asuna movies, which in my opinion are the best parts of the franchise, it retcons a lot of stuff but everything is welcomed since it gives a reason for Asuna to feel drawn to Kirito at the start and even makes him a more pathetic guy which he REALLY needs to feel like an actual character instead of a power fantasy, him going around saving players, giving them stuff and then going away, not even looking at them, while thinking he's cool for doing it like that while everyone sees him as lame for trying so hard is one of my favorite moments in all the series
And the best thing is that even tho in the anime you can already witness hw much Eugeo grow and how much he changes Kirito, once you read the novel the impact is even stronger... like, the part where Kirito and Alice are blasted out of the tower, in the anime he calls for them, and stay there for a little before finding the strenght to keep going. In the novel Eugeo goes crazy, he throw himself at the wall, hit it so much that his hands start to bleed, scream until his voice gets hoarse, he's terrified and lost because he's extreamely dependent on Kirito(in the anime Eugeo is way more indipendet, in the novel he is more mentally frail and scared), but even so he fid the courage to stand up, and keep going... until he meet Bercouli. It's full of moments like these, and that makes him an amazing character... unfortunately, for time reasons, a lot of moments of insight for him and Kirito were cutted out in the anime... it still did a very good job in showing their bond and growth, tho 💙
You have to think though Eugeo's entire family for what I want to say is 3 generations were all woodcutters whose only goal was to cut down that tree, and in 3 centuries they had barely managed to put a dent in that tree, that small cut that's shown at 2:09 is how far they got in those three centuries, and then Kirito comes along and they cut the tree down in a matter of days... Not hating or anything I loved Alicization and I think it's by far the best SAO season.
Still wish he survived. Maybe have his Alice merge with the current Alice. Also, I can't stop thinking about what would happen if Quinella met Freya from Danmachi.
@@epsyblue7714 I thought about that and my mind says Quinella would immediately set about trying to understand Danmachi's systems. Which made me think about just how unique both systems at play are. (That is, Danmachi's Falna and Alicization's Control Authorities and Sacred Arts
Reading the novels, Eugeo lingers on Kirito's memories so much, he constantly gets retraumatized every time he sees someone similar to him, Eugeo was the first true friend Kirito had from the moment he was a kid, rather than being someone who hide away in his room and had no Friend and even abandon the only one he makes in SAO, the Underworld Kirito was always a friend for Eugeo, he had Eugeo as a brother and this lingers forever because he feels guilty that, he couldn't save Eugeo at all. It's a very deep bond, one that even surprasses the love he has for Asuna, and it's insane because it's so much better written than any of the romance in the story, Asuna falling for Kirito feels so rushed, and then all girls falls for him too, but Eugeo ironically, is the person Kirito cares the most, because to him, Eugeo was more than a friend, he was a brother, someone he failed to protect, someone who hurt him MORE than Sachi's death. Frankly ppl hate SAO but the novels after Alicization go wild with the writing, and Unital Ring is being one of the most interesting readings I've seen so far too.
Dude this was a great video, I remember when I read the LN’s before the anime was adapted and I felt this way about Eugeo. It was a change of pace that was great and also made it so that there was a brother like duo which was really cool. It was sad to see the way things ended, imo he could have been a great character to keep but ultimately the Alice situation would have been the issue.
Thanks for reminding me of my favorite written character in SAO, Every time I’ve encountered someone who has only watched the first 2 seasons of SAO and have the usual “aincrad arc was great, the elves and gun gale parts ruined the show” I literally beg them to watch Alicization because the show regains its identity in the best way possible Overall amazing breakdown video you’ve earned a sub from me 👍
1 thing I think sao does reasonably well is making the virtual worlds feel like or at least clearly resemble real game genres. S1 is basically world of war craft. S2 is basically call of duty if it was an open word fps. I also like the idea of the target aeria changing sise based on the players' heart rate. S3 is a boss rush game like cup head.
Eugeo was a great character , even better than kirito . Because you could understand him better than kirito ! And I think his death was so stupid of the writer . It's like the writer just killed him because he was a perfect male character , and the writer didn't want anyone to be as perfect as kirito ( because he would steal all girls from kirito ?! I don't know ... ) . The writer just killed Eugeo and then just used his death to say that kirito is amazing , by showing like he was through so much and make it like nobody had it rough than kirito!
@omidrezazare3982 Eugeo was far from perfect. He was literally an insecure shy guy Kirito is not perfect either when he is a dork who lacks confidence in himself many times & has countless traumas
@@BeastXISKirito's also stupid lazy, violated a lot of dorm rules, and even with the advantage of knowing the Sacred Language (English) thus having the entire library of the Northlangarth Sword Academy available to him, he procrastinated in his studies. He even calls Eugeo an honor student
@@rennakamura4889 Kirito isn't exactly lazy (At least not in Aincrad where his life was on the line since it is said he only sleeps 2-3 hours perday there. But in the Underworld where he was being comfortable with Eugeo and enjoying the world around him, he does act a bit more careless and childish. And yes, Eugeo does have to wake him up in the morning which is cute). But he does not like Sacred Arts and magic spells really. Eugeo had an advantage in that he was more adept to Sacred Arts as he was born there in the Underworld (while Kirito lost his 10 years child memories there). And Eugeo likely had a slightly higher System Control Authority than Kirito in that moment as he had more time to practice Sacred Arts in Rulid But Kirito was a superior swordsman to Eugeo as even Golgorosso noted it (Eugeo was only ahead of Kirito in ranks in Swordcraft Academy thanks to the Sacred Arts test that he had better marks in. And well in this case, Kirito had the advantage since he has his SAO, ALO & GGO experiences from the other VR games. So he knew the sword skills. Otherwise, Kirito admits Eugeo has more natural talent & potential than himself)
@@BeastXIS Your first statement is factually wrong. Having a system control authority with normal values doesn't allow you to use more complex sacred arts. Quinella had to kill a specified number of animals before being able to use Generate Thermal Element, Form Shape: Arrow, Discharge. And because of this, Quinella wrote the Taboo Index so that anyone without the Sacred Task of "Hunter" can't kill animals, so we know that his increase of System Control Authority only came from goblins. Considering that Eugeo's sacred calling was a wood cutter, it is very unlikely for him to tackle the sacred arts nor getting the proper authority level to wield it. About swordskills, I do know about it considering that in cakeverse sidestory, Kirito was 1st seat while Eugeo was 2nd seat.
@@rennakamura4889 The higher your System Control Authority is, the higher your Sacred Arts level usage is... System Control Authority gets raised by either killing living beings OR by repeating sacred art commands repeatedly 😭😭 This was stated in the novels Cakeverse isn't canon
Great vid! Hadn't thought of SAO:A in a while, but I'll have to rewatch it soon. Also loved Noelle's cameo, hoping to see more BC content in the future
Sadly it's a little too late as most people that watched SAO already dismissed it and wrote the show off as trash because of the creepy Fairy Dance arc that introduced incest to a western audience that isn't used to seeing a trope that is very common in Japanese anime. Which is a shame since season 3 of SAO is one of the most interesting story arc the series has.
The 3rd and 4th seasons are the only ones I have yet to rewatch. I think it's because it was so awesome and memorable that I don't need to watch again (yet). I tend to rewatch animes because it's been long enough that I don't remember what really happened. Also, it's mostly because I get a better understanding as an older person than as a child.
damn still after so many years every time I see something about my boy Eugeo I tear up... it still breaks my heart that he got killed but for the story it was so impactful... I mean he is not just a friend to Kirito he is like a brother he is someone he would even sacrifice his life for and in the end Kirito lost him which made act 2 of the show even more impactful. He is my favorite character overall and it really hurts to think about his death... I somehow which Alice died (even though she is all cool) poor boy :(

I've always loved Eugeo but honestly never understood why Until now, honestly the impact he had is incredible and I'm slightly peeved I didn't get it till now 😅
Gonna sound like a hater but the moment SAO focus isnt on Kirito the quality roses significantly This can be seen in the 2 instance where it happens, the Mother's Rosario arc and with Eugeo Having characters with actual depths, flaws and goals to follow is so much better than following Kirito(a near flawless person and any flaws he may had has is bad writing or resolved in seconds)
What are you talking about? Kirito is literally the most flawed out of there. He is insecure, weak in real life, has traumas since SAO until now What flaws does Asuna even have in comparison? She has literally everything She is rich, strong, badass, caring, beautiful, smart, popular and beloved by everyone like a goddess. She is basically a girlboss Same with Yuuki. What are her flaws even? What are the flaws those 2 have that Kirito doesn't? Or you are just talking without your brain? Mother's Rosario is an overrated arc lol. It's good, but nowhere near the best arc And Alicization Part 1 was literally half focused on Kirito and how he manages to accept his Black Swordsman Hero persona by the end of it when he used the Incarnate Vorpal Strike against Chudelkin... lol. Eugeo's entire growth & sacrifice served to develop Kirito as a character Kirito has more apparent flaws and makes mistakes many times. And has actually been oppressed by characters multiple times due to his background But ig you don't watch SAO with your brain. Otherwise, you would notice why Kirito is the best written character in SAO
@@BeastXIS 1st, like i said, Kirito "flaws" are just mentioned and if ever got bring up get resolved in like minutes and rarely ever get to experience the impact 2nd,Yuuki and Asuna dont have flaws, but they are backed by a compelling story with an actual goal to strive for and fight for, you see what they want and the effort, struggle for that goal 3rd,Alicization p1 does have its focus on Kirito but thats more less in the background, the most developed character in Alicization p1 is Eugeo, even if its just there to guilt trip Kirito in p2, Kirito development bc Eugeo was a byproduct of Eugeo main story 4th, i do watch SAO, like quite a few times already, Kirito can be "flawed" etc but he doesnt feel like he has it, he's very inconsistent, even if its just his acting, there was little to none mentions about it til like Alicization p2 Like i prefer Progressive way more bc it shows more of Kirito rather than smthg just being told to the viewers with no background. Like in anime we are just told Kirito have issues, he barely ever act like he has it or ever got hinted at that, while in Progressive at least its shown that he went through issues
@@hoangnguyen0721 1st, minutes? He literally almost tried to kill himself in WoU because he failed to save the people he loved. Eugeo died when Kirito was the one who should have died because his life was temporary. Despite that, Kirito was able to eventually get up and make up for his mistakes with the cooperation of his friends. Quit acting like you know what you are talking about 2nd, why are Asuna and Yuuki more interesting? Because they are pretty girls while Kirito is not? Lol, Kirito's goal is crystal clear in every arc. In Alicization for example, his goal was to get out of the Underworld and help Eugeo reunite with Alice. That's clear as day Also, how can you not see Kirito's efforts and struggles against the Axiom Church lol? He struggled against Eldrie, Deusolbert, Fanatio, Alice, Integrity Knight Eugeo, Chudelkin, the Sword Golem & even Administrator... 3rd, Alicization Part 1 was the arc where Kirito accepts his heroic persona from SAO and realizes that it will be a part of him. That was the point of the Vorpal Strike scene against Chudelkin. So false. 4th, it was literally mentioned in GGO when he was talking with Nurse Aki Progressive was done dirty in the movies. Or at least did Kirito dirty. Because he is the main character of the Progressive LNs, not Asuna. And Mito did not even exist there
For me and I know many people cuz I remember when I was in Discord and a big server talking about the show the biggest sin of the show was having Kirito feel all this guilt and the show itself kind of teasing the idea that someone could come back just for eugeo not to come back I still wish that at least at the final battle instead of Kirito harnessing his memory just for the moment Kirito could come back and help in the fight because one thing I do know throughout watching it me and many people actually hated the parts were the main cast came in and we would be overly critical whenever they would lose or dim get captured or something and having to be saved even though we like that it was the new character saving them but I just know a lot of times the worst parts of that season was anytime it kind of felt like it was catering to the old crew too much or anything that's why I like that at the end of the day they still gave Alice in the new characters more Spotlight because when Asuna and the other crew came around with got like abilities I was so worried that it would have been okay now the old characters are going to save the day
I mean one thing to like really mention cuz I do think another series that does this is kind of Vinland Saga when it comes to a death of a certain character kind of defines the future of the series and that's when the father dies just because of who thorfinn ends up becoming but also feel like one thing as much as I love your video that I even realize after watching it that was missed and it was the fact that many shows do do this the difference is that they put it in your face they say we're doing this for Jiraiya we're doing this for Bruce whenever a death is the main motivator they really put it in the Forefront instead of letting it be something more realistic where it's a undertone it's in the background it's coded inside it isn't pointed out it's just something that you come to realize in real life when something hits you that hard from your past that is still defining you now only at a certain point are you ever truly aware of it because in this life if you are constantly aware of the thing that's holding you back oftentimes you're not making progress
I'm a big fan on this series of Sword art online so I don't hate the series of Sao. Infact i would consider the books being better than the show as the anime series for some reasons i do not know removes the inner monologues and cuts out a lot of scenes that are only in light novel form. I would like you to know that you have entertained me and educated me on past times witn reminders on this anime with this character of Eugeo i appreciate this due to my inquisitiveness trait here. I'm a subscriber of Gamerturks and viewer of his videos and I've read the light novels already so i know Eugeo's story already however I am impressed wIth this video of yours and how Reki Kawahara wrote this Eugeo character though, I Agree with your dialogue in this video on Eugeo's character. I have read 35 light novel books of Sao which i got from family over the years as birthday and xmas presents and some i bought myself. Counting Progressive, Aincrad, Fairy Dance, Phantom Bullet, Early and Late, Alicization, Moon Cradle and finally Unital Ring. Spoilers I am massively impressed with this masked Eugeo male lookalike in Unital Ring volumes 24-27 so far known as Integrity Pilot Commander Eolyne Herlentz that Reki Kawahara seems to of replaced Eugeo with so far in his recent books that i have finished in my head recently over the years as a collecter and progressor learner here
i loved alicization in the LN, such a shame the anime left a lot of background out to cut runtime (not sure if they included that that little bit of a scratch had been made by i think roughly 20 generations or that it basically regenerated as much damage as eugeo could inflict on it at that time with the axe but they at least left out that kirito had to visit an specialist carpenter instead of a Smith for his night sky sword and how he named all his swords and their origins during that visit. if i remember correctly it's the first time in SAO LN where we learn how he got his signature sword elucidator, the black one from OG SAO)
Eugeo's character is so amazing because he was made to be sacrificed. If he stayed alive, he likely would go down the same route Kazuto does and end up being either a support guy for the MC or a joke. Be thankful that as good as he was as a character, he saw a conclusion before he could be integrally destroyed by the writer.
I never viewed brockoli as corrupted cuz I see him more is just a part of the system I don't think that makes a person corrupted because that would also have to infer that he is against or was ever anything different than what he is presented to be in by all means he's a completely morally good character it's just he doesn't know what he's doing is wrong it's one of the reasons why in that fight he even gets him respect during the fight seeing his conviction
It's been a while so I forget if it was ever mentioned in the series. Do we know why the people behind Code 871 didn't want any of the AI people to 'break out'? Were they just afraid of something that would blur the line between fantasy and reality that much? Did they have plans for the AI system used to create that world, and proof that such programs were indistinguishable from real people would obstruct those plans in some way due to such AI qualifying as human?
Sao has always excelled with settings and events and how characters go through it. What kills the series is once the side characters become just harem characters for kirito where it feels like nothing important happens to these characters. Eugeo was an awesome character, Sinons and kiritos arc through ggo was fantastic and yuuki from mothers Rosario told an amazing story but the war of the underworld just like a better setting but with the same nothingness that came out of the fairy dance arc and it was a real shame honestly. But I guess to each their own if they enjoyed it
@ a harem is when multiple characters romantically love one person, just because he wont ever switch up on asuna doesnt change anything. Please use ur brain dawg
Alicization was really the best part of SAO. Getting rid of the old cast is a good idea. Because there are too many and most of them aren't that developed anyway. Most of them have their journey finished in the previous arcs. The underworld is much more interesting because it actually has a virtual civilization with realistic "people".
@ Also the fact that Reki used real politics into this is amazing. The ironic thing is that we’re currently at the beginning of the AI age. There’s also high possibility that Accel World and SAO are connected. And the theory states that Accel world is actually the underworld and somehow Alice is imprisoned because of some kind of conflict which is likely happening in current arc of SAO Unital Ring. I’m not sure how likely it is. But there are many interesting connections like a character called Graphite Edge who is voiced Matsuoka and uses Kirito’s attacks.
Eugeo was the best part of Alicization. Became my favorite character in the time span that he was with us. Really wish he was with us longer the he actually was
if u like the idea of AI in a story, i highly sugguest Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, its a really banger anime about an AI and its struggle for understanding humanity
Thank you for making this video and for giving Eugeo and SAO Alicization the recognition that it deserves, I love Eugeo so much! 🥹 He’s a great character and his death still makes me emotional sometimes
Someone said it best "Sao was fixed by one thing. They litterally just removed the harem aspect and that made it good". Nah but for real, Eugeo massively impoved SAO. I liked it before Alicization, but alicization was peak SAO. He's a great Deuteragonist, he was an actual important male character not named Kirito (rip Klein), and the fact that Kirito had a mentor role to him was nice
Alicization is the best arc of SAO and it's not even a contest I don't get how people glaze the original Aincrad arc so much when Alicization exists I love them both, but Alicization is just next level
What do you think of Eugeo's story and impact on SAO?
I liked it a lot. Eugeo felt like such a breeze of fresh air after every single girl falled for Jesus-kun- oh, wait, sorry… I mean KIRITO!
Anyway, the fact that Eugeo had Alice as a love interest was so much more interesting then Waifu #65 wanting Kirito’s stick and balls. He also felt way more like an actual protagonist with character development than Kirito ever did and probably ever will have. He is to this day alongside Mother Rosario arc my favorite thing about SAO.

@@shadowmoon_64 sometimes it's better to leave us wanting more
@gallenberger1 Very true!
Eugeo’s death was so devastating I became depressed-like for days on why he had to die
Asuna/Sugu/Sinon: Please wake up we need you!!!
Kirito: I sleep
Eugeo: Bro pull up
Kirito: REAL SHIT!?
A thing I really like about SAO as a whole is how much it improves over the first arc, the Aincrad stuff was fine, nothing amazing in it but nothing insultingly awful as the Alfheim one, then on GGO there's Sinon who's a pretty solid character even if her liking Kirito is just there for power fantasy reasons (Which makes sense because I'm pretty sure the author was like 16 when writing this), the Mother's Rosario hits you with a genuinely good story and some tragic stuff and also makes Asuna more of a character rather than just the woman Kirito's with which is a massive positive
Then the first movie comes out and it's pretty great, again there's nothing THAT impressive about it like the first season but it's a pretty fun watch and even the character interactions are good, which is something that SAO hadn't done well up to this point, you can feel like the group of friends is, well, a group of friends
Then Alicization hits you like a truck with the writing quality whiplash with quite literally everything being great (Until the later half of the second season), you can tell the author has learned in the 15 years he's been doing this stuff
And more recently you have the Asuna movies, which in my opinion are the best parts of the franchise, it retcons a lot of stuff but everything is welcomed since it gives a reason for Asuna to feel drawn to Kirito at the start and even makes him a more pathetic guy which he REALLY needs to feel like an actual character instead of a power fantasy, him going around saving players, giving them stuff and then going away, not even looking at them, while thinking he's cool for doing it like that while everyone sees him as lame for trying so hard is one of my favorite moments in all the series
It's full of moments like these, and that makes him an amazing character... unfortunately, for time reasons, a lot of moments of insight for him and Kirito were cutted out in the anime... it still did a very good job in showing their bond and growth, tho 💙
eugeo is such a peak character that he was the first ever character in any show that made me cry when they died
That's an accomplishment
You have to think though Eugeo's entire family for what I want to say is 3 generations were all woodcutters whose only goal was to cut down that tree, and in 3 centuries they had barely managed to put a dent in that tree, that small cut that's shown at 2:09 is how far they got in those three centuries, and then Kirito comes along and they cut the tree down in a matter of days... Not hating or anything I loved Alicization and I think it's by far the best SAO season.
"In the end, he founds who he was looking for after all."
Holy shit.

@@epsyblue7714 Those two have the same vibes for sure

That's a great point. Cool detail I hadn't thought of
As an LN reader, I can tell you that the impact created by Eugeo will stick around for a very very long time
Eugeo was a great character , even better than kirito .
He was literally an insecure shy guy
Kirito is not perfect either when he is a dork who lacks confidence in himself many times & has countless traumas
And Eugeo likely had a slightly higher System Control Authority than Kirito in that moment as he had more time to practice Sacred Arts in Rulid
But Kirito was a superior swordsman to Eugeo as even Golgorosso noted it (Eugeo was only ahead of Kirito in ranks in Swordcraft Academy thanks to the Sacred Arts test that he had better marks in.

Gonna sound like a hater but the moment SAO focus isnt on Kirito the quality roses significantly
This can be seen in the 2 instance where it happens, the Mother's Rosario arc and with Eugeo
Having characters with actual depths, flaws and goals to follow is so much better than following Kirito(a near flawless person and any flaws he may had has is bad writing or resolved in seconds)
@@hoangnguyen0721 It's a fair point
What are you talking about?
Kirito is literally the most flawed out of there. He is insecure, weak in real life, has traumas since SAO until now
What flaws does Asuna even have in comparison? She has literally everything
She is rich, strong, badass, caring, beautiful, smart, popular and beloved by everyone like a goddess. She is basically a girlboss
Same with Yuuki. What are her flaws even?
What are the flaws those 2 have that Kirito doesn't? Or you are just talking without your brain?
Mother's Rosario is an overrated arc lol. It's good, but nowhere near the best arc
And Alicization Part 1 was literally half focused on Kirito and how he manages to accept his Black Swordsman Hero persona by the end of it when he used the Incarnate Vorpal Strike against Chudelkin... lol. Eugeo's entire growth & sacrifice served to develop Kirito as a character
Kirito has more apparent flaws and makes mistakes many times. And has actually been oppressed by characters multiple times due to his background
But ig you don't watch SAO with your brain. Otherwise, you would notice why Kirito is the best written character in SAO
@@BeastXIS
1st, like i said, Kirito "flaws" are just mentioned and if ever got bring up get resolved in like minutes and rarely ever get to experience the impact
2nd,Yuuki and Asuna dont have flaws, but they are backed by a compelling story with an actual goal to strive for and fight for, you see what they want and the effort, struggle for that goal
3rd,Alicization p1 does have its focus on Kirito but thats more less in the background, the most developed character in Alicization p1 is Eugeo, even if its just there to guilt trip Kirito in p2, Kirito development bc Eugeo was a byproduct of Eugeo main story
4th, i do watch SAO, like quite a few times already, Kirito can be "flawed" etc but he doesnt feel like he has it, he's very inconsistent, even if its just his acting, there was little to none mentions about it til like Alicization p2
Like i prefer Progressive way more bc it shows more of Kirito rather than smthg just being told to the viewers with no background. Like in anime we are just told Kirito have issues, he barely ever act like he has it or ever got hinted at that, while in Progressive at least its shown that he went through issues
@@hoangnguyen0721
1st, minutes? He literally almost tried to kill himself in WoU because he failed to save the people he loved. Eugeo died when Kirito was the one who should have died because his life was temporary. Despite that, Kirito was able to eventually get up and make up for his mistakes with the cooperation of his friends. Quit acting like you know what you are talking about
2nd, why are Asuna and Yuuki more interesting? Because they are pretty girls while Kirito is not? Lol, Kirito's goal is crystal clear in every arc. In Alicization for example, his goal was to get out of the Underworld and help Eugeo reunite with Alice. That's clear as day
Also, how can you not see Kirito's efforts and struggles against the Axiom Church lol? He struggled against Eldrie, Deusolbert, Fanatio, Alice, Integrity Knight Eugeo, Chudelkin, the Sword Golem & even Administrator...
3rd, Alicization Part 1 was the arc where Kirito accepts his heroic persona from SAO and realizes that it will be a part of him. That was the point of the Vorpal Strike scene against Chudelkin. So false.
4th, it was literally mentioned in GGO when he was talking with Nurse Aki
Progressive was done dirty in the movies. Or at least did Kirito dirty. Because he is the main character of the Progressive LNs, not Asuna. And Mito did not even exist there
Eugeo is totally my type. He even looks exactly like my first love. It's a shame he died

@vikfan3557 Why?
Kindah reminds me of Yuta from jujutsu kaisen.

For real, Alicization is peak SAO. So many people(that I know) havent watched it too which is sad.
I'm so glad I'm not the only one to think this. I was going to quit SAO until he showed up
Arguably the best season and most impacting character of SAO, no doubt.
@@helloimrhyana6872 💯
kirito himself drags down the show
Eugeo is the best thing to ever happen to Sword Art Online
Eugeo was the best part of Alicization. Became my favorite character in the time span that he was with us. Really wish he was with us longer the he actually was
Crazy how much he mattered in a short time
Good example of AI. Reminds me of Seraph from the Matrix
@@AHPUROshankarMALDITO It's a really cool way of handling it
if u like the idea of AI in a story, i highly sugguest Vivy -Fluorite Eye's Song-, its a really banger anime about an AI and its struggle for understanding humanity
@@RedLifeMC Vivy was a nice watch
Thank you for making this video and for giving Eugeo and SAO Alicization the recognition that it deserves, I love Eugeo so much! 🥹 He’s a great character and his death still makes me emotional sometimes
@@mecvc87 Thanks for watching and caring!
Eugeo is goated fr. One of my favorite male characters in all of anime
@@alpha-sama Hell yeah
Someone said it best "Sao was fixed by one thing. They litterally just removed the harem aspect and that made it good".
Nah but for real, Eugeo massively impoved SAO. I liked it before Alicization, but alicization was peak SAO. He's a great Deuteragonist, he was an actual important male character not named Kirito (rip Klein), and the fact that Kirito had a mentor role to him was nice
Alicization is the best arc of SAO and it's not even a contest I don't get how people glaze the original Aincrad arc so much when Alicization exists I love them both, but Alicization is just next level
I was sad at Bercoulis death same as Eugeos one. But Eugeos death hit too hard
