    Hello Mike,
    I can't thank you enough for your videos! I have been using excel for over 10 years in my personal trading strategy for my investments. I have been mostly self taught, but I have finally decided to educate myself by watching videos about Excel on YT. I came across your channel because someone on Twitter mentioned how helpful your videos are. Having been through 16 videos now I couldn't agree more!!! I have learned so much in terms of keyboard shortcuts, terminology, and so much more. I actually look forward to watching the next video to learn even more! Thank you for all that you do and many blessings to you.

You made me fall in love with excel and I can't thank you enough for how clear, easy and fun your videos explain all the details and frameworks of excel. You are such a good teacher and may the universe return all the favors to you.

    I'm fresh out of university applying for jobs which means I have a lot of free time on my hands when i'm not writing cover letters and have decided to plough through your basic (and after this the advanced) excel playlists. Just excellent (and entertaining) all around! I will try to leave a comment here and there and thumbs up all your videos to support as I cannot thank you enough with words. In fact I would never ever have guessed it but the channel name is totally correct. I'm having fun learning excel and cannot wait to apply this during my career as I feel this will be very useful! Thank you, thank you, thank you Mr Girvin.

    Great mate thank you. A small note though. I think saying that the dollar sign is 'before' the letter or number would be better than saying 'in front of. This' would be far less confusing for other viewers and myself. Cheers for the free stuff. The UK government recently released online learning platforms on their website under the OnlineToolKit program. You sir are saving lives since so many people including myself are shockingly under skilled and under qualified for the structural shifts taking place in the economy. My whole life I hated calculations & always thought Excel is just digital version of the big formulas I did in school. So many books I referred even took up a paid course but no one has explained things so well like you have in your video. I am able to understand every small thing, able to do them myself & don't have excel phobia as well , in fact because of you I am loving the fact that how beautifully excel has automated everything. I seriously cannot thank you enough. Only regret wish I found this channel sooner. I would have definitely gotten some promotion. :) hhehe. Hope my speed & efficiency of applying these learning in my day to day work increases as well. Thank you so much once again.

    Hi Mike, does it work the same if you use number format to 2 decimal places rather than the round() function?

    • @excelisfun
      @excelisfun  Год назад

      100000% NO!!!!! You must not have watch the earlier class videos about Number Foramting. Number Format changes the display of the video, but not the underlying number. Round changes the number. I would sugget going back and studying the number formatting and ROUND video in this class where I give detailed examples and show the terrible troubl if you do not understand this distinction clearly

    • @excelisfun
      @excelisfun  2 года назад

      Absolutely not!!!! It is 100% proven over many decades to be the #1 hardest things learn. You are like the 99%, not the 1% that find it easy ; )

    • @excelisfun
      @excelisfun  2 года назад

      It was hard for me back in the 1990s to learn this. I used the sledge hammer method of learning, just try all options until the formula worked. Eventually I just had to invent a memorization trick to try and remember it.
